I really love the idea of Helio, but I’ve opened it a handful of times this last week to check on the upcoming sunset (about an hour before) and it always shows the sunrise score. Helio only has one job and it fails at it.
Helio promises a small amount of information and delivers less!
It’s advertised to “never miss another sunset”. Not much, but in fact, it doesn’t even deliver that. Weather Channel gives me the sunrise and sunset time.
I’m deleting this loser.
How does Helio help me never miss a sunset if no notifications or threshold to alert? There should also be a regional map to see where the best spots will be located.
Helio also switches to the sunrise forecast (and removed sunset) while still more than an hour before sunset. Deleted.
Way too many false negatives. I’ve used this for a good month every day and have never seen it predict a sunset as being beyond fair quality. That has not been the reality in the least.
Cute simple app built for one purpose and one purpose only - never to never miss a sunset. I want to slap this right on my home screen always & forever if the devs can turn into a widget for ios14. Would live on the watch face too :)
Feature request - enable notifications and allow user to set a threshold in which to trigger a sunset warning. Aka over 85%, I must see this!
as someone who was raised in tucson, arizona, i know how important the sun is and how beautiful golden hour can be. i’m so glad an app exists so that we can track it!! the design is a clean and simple and serves the exact purpose that i need. just waiting for a widget feature to be added 😏😏 it would also be nice if users could see a day ahead or behind (calendar feature almost? although unsure how far into the future the sun forecast goes). maybe also let us toggle between sunset or sunrise golden hour time, or let us see both on the same screen ✨ either way, great app, thank u developers + designers 💛
I love Helio! It helps me know if the sunrise or sunset has good quality which is what I love the most. I also like how it doesn’t locate your location, you type in your location. I would recommend Helio.
Very useful app. I use it most nights for the sunsets. Much better than the stock weather app
