Router issues

My chat has been redirected to another place, guess my live chat have been hack and I will like the official live chat to help me investigate this issues because a lot of my customers are complaining meanwhile I’m not the one talking to them on live chat

App causes missed chats

If I left LiveChat logged in it had a habit of turning on my chat despite me turning it off. Had it happen multiple times so I removed. It would happen at all times of the day. Even hours after turning off the chat. Guess I will just stick to desktop.

Can’t zoom screenshots

I use the this app app for technical support and customers send me screenshots. LiveChat doesn’t let me zoom or rotate my screen so I can read the text in the screenshots. I reported it to the developers many months ago, they acknowledged but has since ignored this.

Notifications are still broken. We are losing sales because of this. Please spend less time replying to every review and more time fixing LiveChat

Great Upgrade

My business has been using Live Chat for nearly 2 years. This new version is much better and easier to use than the old version. It also allows me to view more detailed information about my online customers than before.

Horrible UX for Agents

I wish I hadn’t updated yet since not required as of this date. Doesn’t appear the user experience was considered to the extent it should have been with his new app. It’s “pretty” but missing so much to function well. First, why “Lite”? I need same features I have in the desktop app or through the website. Second, some aspects I need are worse in this new app. One especially frustrating is that I need specific info from what the customer provides at the top of the chat. Now, instead of allowing me to select and copy specifically what I need, like the email or an ID#, I can only copy the entire text box. That’s useless. Horrible. I can’t always see in the archives what agent chatted with a customer in a chat. I do like that there is more information in the archives than in the previous app, without having to select the desktop view. That’s very helpful and an improvement. I love that the canned responses can be viewed more easily and fully before selecting them for use!

Needs serious improvement

While we are very happy with this app as a service, LiveChat does not feel like it’s part of the this app ecosystem and needs serious improvement.

Besides a pretty terrible UI compared to the desktop app, the main issue (as multiple other reviews already mentioned) is that notifications are not reliable at all, causing missed chats and upset customers. We’re a small business and I mainly use LiveChat on the weekends when we don’t have support staff at the office. When it works, it’s very convenient: I get a notification when customers open a chat and can reply from my phone as if it were a text message.

Very often, however, notifications do not come through and customers are left waiting thinking we are ignoring them. Just today I thought it was odd that zero customers had messaged us all weekend. I logged in only to find four unassigned chats and two rated bad due to no response.

I have checked all notification settings and everything looks fine. I even made sure to uncheck dnd if on desktop just in case.

Unfortunately, I have decided for now it’s a better approach to just be offline instead of “greeting” customers and then not realize they are talking to us.

Once LiveChat is fixed and brought up to this app standards, our experience with your service as a whole will improve dramatically as a reliable mobile app is the only (and important) missing piece for us.

No iPad Support?, no LANDSCAPE?!

iPad users: DO NOT DELETE YOUR OLD APP IF YOU STILL HAVE IT!, read my story below.

I launched the older Live Chat, Inc., App on my iPad Pro, it tells me I am using an out-of-date App, download the new this app Lite only to find that it isn't an iPad app? Alright fine. I can just maginify it, wait, there's more! No landscape support?! Thank god the old App still works or I'd be in a very bad spot since I use the Apple Magic Keyboard. Keep in mind this app Inc, we are in a pandemic, many people are home working and a LOT of said people use an iPad!!! Now that the new iPad Air also supports the Magic Keyboard and how many alternative keyboard exist there is no reason for a production app to not have iPad support and it's entirely inexcuable to not support landscape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No chats

I am not sure how to contact you direct. The old this app app would even work when my phone was locked. I would get a message alert and I could chat with customers once I unlocked the phone. The new Lite app puts me away when my phone locks so the customers are forced to leave a message. There are not any settings for me to stop this. LiveChat is useless if I have to have my phone unlocked and that app opened.

Change it back!

The whole point I downloaded LiveChat was to be notified of an incoming chat when I stepped away from my computer for a few seconds. I made sure my settings allowed for all notifications from the live chat lite app even if I'm active on my desktop and I never get notifications. The old app always sent me a notification. Please bring this back!! That's the whole point of the mobile app.

Still doesn’t work!

I started using LiveChat after the original LC app left our account logged in even though we didn’t have our app connected. I was told to download the Lite app instead as LC acknowledged issues with logouts on OG app. I’ve tried downloading this twice and continue to get error messages! So frustrating!

I DO NOT want to accept chats all the time!!!

Whenever I turn off “Accept chats”, it always automatically turns on itself later. Are you assuming we should be available for chatting 24/7 and have no problem to be bothered when I feed my baby at 2AM ??????

NOTIFICATIONS DON’T WORK

I had the old version which worked fine. The new version doesn’t notify you of a chat, which sort of defeats the whole purpose of having a chat function on your website. Garbage.

Worst app

LiveChat does not work. Support didn’t help. All my notification settings are on yet it doesn’t notify you of chats. If you would like to miss chats over and over you are welcome to use LiveChat
