Circle Communities Reviews

The buggiest app. It shuts down every time I use it, which is every day for the past 21 days since I’ve loaded it. Very frustrating and surprising for an app that’s been around awhile.

There are so any issues with CircleCommunities on iPad—I’ll just focus on navigation.

Once you load CircleCommunities and you click on the notifications, and then click on a single notification, you can *NEVER get back to the home screen. The comments box covers CircleCommunities navigation menu at the bottom of the sidebar. *Sometimes, if you flip away from CircleCommunities , and then come back, it appears, but not every time. Similar things like this happen that make using this—what would otherwise be an awesome, convenient alternative to the website or mobile—almost unusable. There needs to be a way to minimize the pane on the right, and the comments field/box across the bottom so that you can actually move around the topics and categories.

I really hope this is fixed because having access to Circle communities on a separate, mobile device is really nice.

I never write reviews but due to the measure of concern I figure it is accepted. Access to our microphone and device should not be possible unless provided by users. This is disappointing to see as i really like CircleCommunities and think it will only improve through time. Please fix this urgently.

I am having repeated issues signing into this application. It will say “SOMETHING WENT WRONG - An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made.”

I don’t know how to fix this.

Today I can’t view comments, yesterday the comments were wiggling all over the screen and I couldn’t read anything. There is always something going wrong.

The desktop app is nice, but the iPhone app does not allow the ability to view comments. You can like a post, create your own comment, but there is no ability to tap “comments” to view your own comments. There are other issues, for example you cannot tap on a persons name to DM them. When you tap on their name it brings you to an info screen where you can view their posts comments and spaces but cannot dm them like you can on desktop. I’d love to use this for my community, but using it as a user inside others communities it has caused some frustration and I wouldn’t want my users to feel that same frustration, hence my looking elsewhere. Once these issues are fixed I’ll update my rating and review.

App Glitches a lot

It’s really convenient browsing on my iPad but I’d love to have full screen video support.

There’s no option to update or change your profile on CircleCommunities which doesn’t make sense.

CircleCommunities desperately need dark mode. Nothing worse than getting blasted with white light period. Light sensitive or not. It is 2021 BTW

Dark mode is easier on battery life, easier on everyone's eyes and for those of us with visual disabilities it's really important for us as it helps us navigate CircleCommunities and makes it more inclusive. Please consider adding this accessibility feature.

CircleCommunities has an overall clean layout and is intuitive, but it also has some bugs like the inability to click links in posts. I’d also like to be able to edit a post and access private messages from CircleCommunities .

I was ready to give this 5 stars... but they are missing the privacy toggle that all other apps have. No you can’t have access to my microphone or photos without permission... it just opened right up to my photo library when I was going to post a photo. No ask permission and no way to turn it off anywhere! without that I’ll have to delete until you do. I hope it’s soon because CircleCommunities is very cool!

I loved Circle before their app but now I love them even more. Customer service is top notch and CircleCommunities is easy to use and simple. Thanks Circle!

Clean. Simple. Well organized. I’m really enjoying CircleCommunities and my experience inside my favorite communities here.

I absolutely love everything about Circle. It is a great product and phenomenal interface. The perfect community tool platform. Excited for every online community of mine to move this direction.

The Circle app is great, and the Circles consistently adds new features and improvements :)

Hats off to the Circle team. The iOS app is quite easy to use and lets me do what I need to do most: engage with my small community :)

Keep the load/response times low and the features lightweight please 😍

We launched our Spreadshop merch challenge as a community using Circle and we love it! Easy to setup and customize and very feature rich. People appreciate the “group” feel without being stuck in big brother services like Facebook Groups and blowing you up with ads. Highly recommended!

circle was easy to set up and customize for my needs, it solves all the headaches that we were encountering using various platforms to try and connect. The team at circle has been nothing but helpful and I can’t wait to see this product really take off.
