Honestly this review is a call for help and I’ll update if/when resolved. My son has enjoyed using LearnTrumpet .
I contacted Tonestro a week ago and haven’t heard back.
Their website is coming up as unsecure in all my browsers, so something weird is going on.
I did the free trial and ended up purchasing a year membership through Apple ($150). Now we’d like to use it on another device for my son and there is no way to do that. You are given a default member ID but can’t use it elsewhere. It’s not linked with my email.

It’s too bad because so far it’s a good product.

Hi I was really excited to learn trumpet because one of my older brothers used to play but he moved out and left his trumpet but when I downloaded LearnTrumpet I realized I had to pay a lot of money to do anything, I’m 11 and I would really appreciate it if you made the learning and maybe some of the songs free and/or maybe a little bit cheaper. Thank you!

It is really good but I have to pay premium I just want to learn how to play trumpet and I have to pay. I thought this was a free app, but I thought wrong. I should’ve figured because most apps are like this, but I can never pay it because I don’t wanna spend my money on things I do not need to do. I just want to have a talent for once, I have other options so I chose to delete this because I need to pay to move forward and I’m not wasting my hard earned money on it. If you do not pay you just get a different app. Don’t wish your time and another thing is that they only tell you one note before you could even move on, you have to pay to learn other notes like I could learn that somewhere else I would rather download a different app or learn myself then do this

I was really excited to get this as a 5th grade trumpet player but it turns out I had to pay and I couldn’t of play ANY songs without paying for premium it’s unfair really I couldn’t play any songs nor could i do lesson I’m probably gonna delete it, if you have money you can pay for LearnTrumpet

They signed me up for a full year after my trial period was over. I did want to keep it (LearnTrumpet is cool and my son who is learning trumpet has been enjoying it), so I did not cancel, but I wanted to pay monthly, so that my son could decide each month if he wanted to stick with it (he has agreed to pay half the cost). However, they automatically charged me $160 (!!) for a full year and they have ZERO customer service to clear up the problem. It just feels like a sketchy thing to do. I like LearnTrumpet , but now when I use it (I play trumpet too, though I havent tried some the more advanced levels yet), I have a twinge of feeling like I was cheated and made a fool with the "free" trial thing. If you don't want to sign up for the full year, DO NOT get the "free" trial. They seem to have no customer service department or phone numbers to call.

LearnTrumpet is ok but you are putting Premium on EVERYTHING bc I’m going to the 6th grade and it means I’m in summer rn and I need songs to play and get taught but I don’t understand why can’t we just get some songs free at least

It’s a great tool for learning trumpet. I have seen much improvement in my sons playing. HOWEVER, it has trouble recognizing notes and says he misses them. Which leads to making my job harder keeping him motivated and focused because he thinks he’s doing bad.

I was recently charged $149 for a subscription I never intended to keep or use. I had started the free trial to encourage a friend to join, but I forgot to cancel it before it renewed. When I reached out to ask if I could be charged for just one month instead of the full year, the response was a firm no. They explained that Apple and Google’s terms don’t allow refunds for subscriptions not canceled on time, as the right of withdrawal is waived upon purchase.

This was my mistake, but it’s a financial one I simply cannot afford. I’m writing this as a reminder for others—if you’re trying out LearnTrumpet, make absolutely sure to cancel the trial in time if you’re not ready to commit. LearnTrumpet itself may be great, but I won’t have the chance to find out because of this costly oversight. I hope my experience helps someone avoid the same situation.

After I learned my first note and I passed that part you have to pay for premium witch is a lot over 400 dollars a year and I bet that a lot of people think “don’t want to pay for premium” because I thought the same thing

I like LearnTrumpet but there’s a lot of things it can add to make it what I think would be one of the best music apps out there. I feel like It would be much better if it not just told you what you’re doing wrong, but how to fix it as well. I think a fingering chart would be awesome too. These two things make it less useful and a little annoying for beginners and people who have taken long breaks, given that you have to go look up how to fix what it said you’re playing wrong. I also ran into a problem when sometimes the yellow bar over the notes would move faster than the beat. Like I said, LearnTrumpet is good as it is but it could be so much more.

I am so very happy with LearnTrumpet as a beginner brass player. It lets you know if you’re playing the correct note and support is quick!

App is a great help, especially in improving timing and pitch. Played trumpet a year or two in high school. Now, at 83, I'm trying to pick it back up for my own enjoyment. So far, I'm only using the free portion but as I hopefully progress I'll consider the premium version.

I was having so much trouble with my pitch and I’ve been working on it for about 2 weeks. Only in my first lesson and I’ve already improved so much!! Definitely recommend! :D

I’m normally a clarinet player but I was thinking about getting a scholarship, so I downloaded LearnTrumpet for the trumpet and literally in a few minutes I was playing full songs. Now as a semi professional I thank LearnTrumpet for helping me come this far.

This has been a great start with this program. It’s easy to learn and practice.

LearnTrumpet will for sure help me in my band classes! I already learned so many new notes and it helps me improve a lot. There’s one small problem, it won’t tell me what I’m doing wrong and I kind of need to know so I can improve from my mistake(s) and I also need tips when playing the trumpet

January 12: im back again and it’s great I also figured out why I keep get 40 points! It was because I was using trumpet c (on LearnTrumpet ) instead of trumpet Bb (something like that) lol other than that it’s awesome I would 100% recommend

The more I relaxed the better I got, over and over again, made it challenging

It is a really good app and you can really learn a lot of notes for no price I would recommend it to anyone who wants or need help playing the trumpet.

It helps me learn new songs and even teach me song I never learned in school
