Great App for Card Collecting & Monitoring Value!

This is a great app, and I plan on using it a lot in near future. Only problem I have is it crashes a lot. It’ll either crash after both card photos are taken, or sometimes after just one of the photos is taken.

There have also been times where I accidentally swipe up or down, and it won’t save the progress I’ve made of uploading new cards. Not sure if it’s a hassle to add auto-save feature after uploading one side of card, card information, etc.? No worries if it is. Great idea for app overall though! Any chance to integrate card values from Beckett in the future?

Confusing

I was really hoping to like Cardstock. I have a fairly extensive collection and would love to catalog with pictures. First I misinterpreted the claim that Cardstock could “recognize “ and find card information based upon the picture. I thought that was a stretch for an inexpensive app. Second there is no instruction. I have spent well over a half an hour just to figure out how to log one card. I must have just gotten lucky, as I am still trying to figure out how to add a second one. For someone who would like to log thousands of cards, it is just not worth the frustration. Maybe some sort of help in explaining how to use Cardstock efficiently and would like it.

Few Issues

Cardstock is a great idea for people like me with too many cards to count. However, there are a few flaws that should be revised that I will address in this review. Firstly, when you open a checklist of cards, the cards duplicate themselves by three each time you open them. Secondly, the information detector can be extremely inaccurate, when can lead to more effort in a sense of trying to replace the incorrect information with the correct information. Other than this, Cardstock is is great, and it is a great idea.

Scanner and value

For the scanner I think we have to take a picture of the scanner it should bring up the prices automatically like he should have the option to like scan for prices automatically serene searching I’m typing in because it’s hard to find the card sometimes if you don’t type in the right stuff so maybe like you care for the $15 monthly prescription for Addely key automatically look for the value of the card

So far, OK

Been struggling to find an easy way and portable to keep track of my collection and use it when looking for cards I want. Cardstock seems to work ok- the scanning is inconsistent with the details it pulls from cards. When I group the cards by players, it does this weird thing where it gives me two different collections of that name. So if I’m looking for a card of a certain player- I need to search two different lists. Trying for a month…still a wait and see for me.

Would also love to see a feature for cards I want…

You need to pay to get card values?

I just paid $5 for Cardstock and now I’m supposed to pay Mavin $5 a month to get my card values? Maybe I missed this in the description, but I feel cheated.

*UPDATE* Thank you for clarifying! I will definitely use Cardstock now that I know how to manage Mavin. The message that comes up from Mavin is confusing. You have to hit the “X” instead of “done” to get out of the free trial menu.

Look no Further

I’ve been collecting cards since I was 5. And almost 35 years later I found Cardstock of my dreams. I’m able to find the value of each card in my collection and am super excited on the value of my collection so far!! Such and amazing app for keeping track of the value of my collection. This is Cardstock you need if this is what you need!!

Easy, quick value lookup!

Great app for organizing your cards. The photo recognition is handy and works very well, only a few instances with some really intense cards did I have to fix the auto fill manually. Developer is also very quick to respond and open about future updates, etc. highly recommend!

Very nice

I really dig Cardstock . It’s got functionality and it’s bare enough to let me have control over my own collection. It would be hard to import anyone’s entire collection into a single app, but this let’s me take a digital version of my cards wherever i go. I appreciate the hard work put into something like this. The hobby needed Cardstock.

Folders

I like Cardstock so far. But when I try the Folder Ivón I get “add” and “cancel”. “Add” is grayed out and I can only cancel. I would like to be able to sort via folders. Developer...any suggestions?

If your looking for a free app don’t buy it

I love everything about it but I’m just disappointed that I have to pay to see the value I was looking for a app that could save my cards and the value for free and it does save my cards but I don’t want to pay just to see the value I do think there is other people out there that would agree with me. Overall it is a decent app.

Needs more

Over all a great app but I wish you could delete cards that you accidentally scanned twice or folders that you don’t want anymore and some thing that will tell you how much your whole collection is worth

By

It give you the ability to put all your sports card in one place where you can look them up their names state ect very easy to use and no hidden payments

By

Nope

Downloaded Cardstock to give it a try tried to scan four separate cards. LeBron James select. kristap porzingas. Select
Lebron James Bowman chrome rookie card.
Andrew Wiggins Panini prism rookie card.
Cardstock did not recognize one single player. They want me to pay for an app that doesn’t recognize names. Sorry. If I’m going to have to type in the information I will use one of the better apps out there. I deleted Cardstock

Best customer service ever !

We totally didn’t use this right to start - and they reached out to me via email. Explained it. And my son totally figured it. Thank u to this team ! Great communication!

By

Decent

Cardstock itself in terms of price and cataloging your collection is good. In terms of valuing your cards, it is worthless. The Marvin component can’t find its way out of a wet paper bag in terms of finding and valuing your card. Look for another app to determine values but use this for cataloging.

Repeating cards

For some reason in some my check list. Any time I go in to it, it multiplies all cards in check list. Even if I start to delete some, once back out of checklist still keeps in there and adds more

By

Needs more

Great app. Simple. Needs the ability to share a collection with a link, or at least export it as a file. Needs to also add ability to create an account so I can take my collection with me when I upgrade my phone.

By

Pretty good

App is pretty good, would love to be able to move folders into other folders

By

Thank you

I was looking at websites for hours then I got Cardstock and omg it helped me a lot! If you are planning to get Cardstock I would recommend and the price is worth it I am not a bot ok. But Cardstock it’s worth the price

By

Yes

You made it and then you posted on Reddit about it. Don’t you know you’re supposed to talk about it on Reddit first and then not follow through? Good job for real 👍

By

Want to like it more..

Would be great if it could import all of the information on the card, especially the player name, position etc.

By

Useless. Does not work at all

Scanned 10 cards. Not a single one was recognized properly. So, I thought, what is the simplest card to test? 1986 Topps Baseball. Doesn’t get much easier than that for photo recognition. Big large player and team names. Results - Player Name: U6Unqsld :3Woh. Don’t waste your money.

Not working.

Tried for the first time and doesn’t retrieve data for pricing of card. Not bad, but not worth $5 yet.

Disappointed

If I knew I’d have to manually enter every card I wouldn’t have bought Cardstock
