Update: Dropping to 1 star. I just played seven games with a $10,000 entry, won four of them and placed second in the other three. Connectivity seemed good, so I risked playing a 40,000 coin entry and was booted before finishing the first hole. Developer now owes me well over 240,000 coins, just in entry fees, probably close to half a million if you count what I would have won based on my position at the time of being booted. This isn’t accidental, it’s flat out theft.

I’ve been playing for about two months now and love the game, I have spent probably $30 on gems, no issues with the purchases.I have 1 GB fiber Internet Service and a top of the wind Wi-Fi hub, never have any issues with interruptions in service and never get bumped from any of the games I play, except this one. It’s quite clear they disconnect you from games either because their server is completely unreliable or to take your coins, there is no third explanation. At this point, I would say they owe me about 200,000 coins off of disconnects that are all happening at their end. Of course they will come back with some garbage reply saying I’m being disconnected at my end, but that is patently false. It happens with such regularity, that I find myself afraid to play the higher cost courses, as I know I will be disconnected and lose my entry fee. Get it fixed, stop the intentional disconnects, I don’t really care which it is or you can kiss my purchases goodbye.

I have now lost $3,000 gold coins from tournaments I begin playing and randomly get booted from during the first hole. Not the second or third, the first one, every time. This has happened four times in the past week and when I contact customer support they blame it on my internet connection. They refused to give me my gold coins back that I continue losing for no apparent reason because they are not liable for this issue and then blame me for it. Your game is so perfect that it can’t ever mess up? How is it always the customers fault when the best support they can give me is someone who has no clue what happened emails me that they guess it was my internet connection. You’re guessing? No, this is a fun game but the lack of respect given to players is ridiculous.

Update: I have now been kicked for no reason about 7 times since and their response is to take a screenshot? How do I take a screenshot of the connecting screen as it kicks me back to main menu? What do you think I’m trying to pull here? I’m asking for my free in-game money back, not the keys to Fort Knox. Your game kicks me out randomly and the only help I get is pointing the blame at me? The way you try to shift blame is sad from such a large corporation.

I can’t do this anymore. I’ve lost hundreds of thousands of coins to this game and it’s mini golf version because of connectivity issues. Without warning the game drops the screen and returns to the Home Screen. Money used to enter the match is gone and even if you were winning you get nothing. I literally cannot get much higher than $100k at this point because every time I do I’ll lose connection multiple games in a row. There isn’t time to take a screenshot like the developer has asked for in all the other complaints. One second it’s in the match, then the “connecting” screen shows and it returns to the Home Screen.

Fix your servers or lose all your players. Those are your options.

This golf game is ridiculous. You’re constantly playing bots that shoot the most outrageous shots not even planned out and they win ! How can one get anywhere in this games. Due to that and the cheap payouts and cheap gifts you can not get anywhere. One step forward and three steps back. Come on developers…at least if you’re gonna cheat people have enough smarts to make it non detectable. These shots that make a hole in one are not even possible that I’m seeing. You can tell the bots… They always say hi. When you respond back you get no response. Then they win EVERYTIME !! Was this game developed by a 6 yr old ?! Gonna delete this one ! Golf Rival is 100x better and at least you are playing with other people instead of bots. DELETED !!

Multiple times. Multiple days. Multiple WiFi connections. Using an iPhone 12. The game loves to just crash out of nowhere and take all your coins. Let me explain. Each round, you buy into the game 200 to win 500 or 3000 to win 7000 , on and on. It goes up. Nothing is more frustrating than winning all of the beginner levels and accruing thousands of coins to be able to play the higher levels and get bigger payouts. And then. Once you take all the coins you’ve just spent hours/ days working on and buying into a higher game. And then after 1 hole the game kicks you to the main menu and you’re left with nothing. Nothing except wasted time and effort. This has been happening for months and at this point I’ve had enough

Connection Error….Connection Error! More than half of my games are lost because of your Connection Error and because of this I lose all my coins? I’ve lost 100’s of thousands of coins because of this issue not to mention how many lucky shot bonuses I’ve gotten but not awarded because of your stupid connection error! It’s not on my end either as my son plays his Xbox games daily and has never lost connection while playing! I spent a lot of money on this game and will not spend another dime until you fix this issue and if possible give me what I’m owed for your connection issue that you took from me! Don’t download this game!!!

Just got done reading other reviews and it’s kind of sickening to see that everyone else is having the same Connection Error but the makers still say it’s on our end and not theirs? Get your head out of your butts and fix this issue or find something else to do because you obviously can’t accept blame for shotty connection issues!

I’ve never left a game review, but this needed to be done! I love the game, it gives me down time entertainment. I’ve worked hard to gain a high level of coins & jewels to advance in the game. I have ZERO connectivity issues with anything else but this game CONSISTENTLY loses connection AFTER you’ve paid your entry fee, then immediately reconnects and you lose all your coins and your place in that match. I have probably lost 200,000 coins over the past 6 months from this one failure in GolfStrike. There should be a way to at least recover your entry fee!!! I just got kicked out leading on the last hole after paying 10K coins and being a putt away from winning 22K…all lost. It’s been super bad today. I despise this part of this game!!!

This would be a really fun game if it weren’t for the frequent crash to menu and connectivity issues causing me to forfeit matches. This wouldn’t be so bad if it were not for the fact that you lose your coins. On lower Tour levels this isn’t much, but I’ve had some Tour 5 games crash and those are 10k apiece…not a small number of coins! Opened a support case and haven’t heard a peep. Reinstalling doesn’t help. I play on an iPhone 12 Mini and an iPad Mini 4 running the latest iOS and it happens on both so it’s not my hardware or software here.

In short, fix the in-match crashing and/or give the user some way to upload diagnostic data to request a refund of the match fees and this game would easily get two more stars.

I have put thousands of dollars into golf clash and golf rival and golf battle and this game is much more boring and hard to control. At the beginning you can just overpower each shot and win against your opponent but after a few games you have to buy the expensive balls or you can’t win. If you land just outside of the green you can’t possibly sink your shot, unlike golf clash or golf rival where it is easily done. There is no finessing in this game. Heck there aren’t even rings when you are aiming so that you can tell how to compensate for wind. Since golf rival at its higher levels treats the player badly I would recommend golf clash over all the golf games. I think the makers of this game also make golf battle and even golf battle is infinitely more fun than this loser game.

This game could be amazing. The fact you play others at the same time and don’t have to wait forever for others to take their turns is alone enough reason to love this game. I REALLY wish they had the server capacity to actually let me play this game and it is super fun for the half game I get to play before being kicked from the game. What is even more frustrating is it takes coins to start the game and you lose them every time you are booted from the game. I want so badly to like this game but it is infuriating to constantly be kicked from a game you are doing well on and lose all those coins.

Great game, but you should skip it if you actually want to be able to finish a round (3 holes) and not lose all your coins and progress.

Generally, the game is a pretty fun little golf game. I remember Miniclip games from way back when, so no surprise there really. But once again the paradoxically named free to play model causes problems here.

The game mechanics feel good, but they’re inconsistent. Executing the exact same shot from the exact same spot will lead to your ball going to different places.

F2P problems are significant. The game requires coins as entry fees to tournaments and to pay to upgrade your clubs. The higher levels of tournaments that yield higher coin prizes have higher entry fees. It gives you enough to get started and if you place at least 3/6 you can usually earn back enough to keep playing without spending money for coins.

However, on many occasions the game has simply kicked me back to the main screen mid-play, resulting in a loss of the entry fee and no prize. This means in a case where I have bought more coins I’m out real money due to a bug. The cost for a single incident is minimal. A starter pack granted 30k coins for like $6. So .0002 dollars per coin? The entry fee on a Tour 3 tournament is like 1250 coins. I’ve had 8 of these bugs in 24 hours. So that’s $2 worth of coins forfeited. Not a huge sum of money, but losing ANY money because of a silly bug is unacceptable.

I’d avoid spending anything until it’s clear the game isn’t going to bug out and eat your money.

The game itself is fun, but there are a few insanely annoying issues with it:
1.) I keep getting “connecting” message popping up every 2-3 games on my screen even though I have fiber internet and know it’s not my connection. I do not understand why this hasn’t been fixed on mini-clip’s end as it appears to be a server issue that should be able to be patched with an update.
2.) When the above connection error happens, I do NOT get refunded my entry fee, which can be insanely annoying if you’re playing a course that requires a steep fee (I.e. really anything over $100, but primarily $1,000 and more). It’s already so expensive to upgrade your clubs, and now I have to deal with losing money every time mini clip’s server glitches?!
3.) I haven’t found a way to choose the club I want to use for each shot. It will force you to use a particular club, even though it’s very obvious that using your driver shot would be better. I guess I wish the game was a bit more realistic…
4.) There needs to be a better way to get red diamonds other than buying them. I have had my piggy bank ready to be opened for some time now but it requires 800 diamonds and I only have like 450. Why don’t people who score in top 3 get diamonds for winning in addition to coins? Doesn’t make sense since diamonds are obviously an important part of the game.
Please fix mini clip! People are not going to spend as much money on this game if it doesn’t work half the time!

This game is amazing, however - do not download this game if you like to win and are into stats. Unlike Golf Clash, Golf Strike has no support. When you’re playing Golf Clash and the game crashes, you can write into support and they refund you the coins lost from the game crashing. I was going for my 15th straight win in a row and the game crashed on me and took my money. It then showed in my profile that I had a loss under my belt, which is extremely frustrating since the loss was only because the game crashed. I eventually created another account because I didn’t like having a few losses (all due to game crashing). My new account was going good and today the game crashed on me (AGAIN)! Took all my coins and now it looks like I have yet another loss, which effects everything - all of your percentages are no longer accurate since you get penalized for the game crashing. I may try to play this game in the future and hopefully the team at Golf Strike can be more like Golf Clash and at least refund you your money and make things “FAIR.” Fun game - just hate losing and ESPECIALLY when IT’s NOT MY FAULT!!! 😢

I’m not sure why but multiple times I have been in a game setting and either the server gets disconnected, the other player drops out, or whatever may happen. I get shot back to the home page with my tokens gone. There have also been a few times where even just searching for a game it shoots you back to the golf Home Screen and you lose your tokens you had. This had just happened to me twice today. Very frustrating and I am going to delete GolfStrike . 5,000 tokens gone and not even one player was played. It is a great game other than not having your tokens restored when the server times out.

This is my first ever review. I’m not going to write an essay because I don’t feel it’s needed. I really enjoy the game play. I have spent as much $ on this game as I do buying a new console game. I just want to say that the ‘Connecting error’ mid match has completely turned me away. I lose over 50% of my games due to this error. If I am able to make it through that, my win percentage would be 75%+. I can’t build my coins up because of the error. I am on fiber internet with no spikes. If you devs think it’s on my side, that’s fair. But you lost a $$ paying customer. Hopefully in the future it’s fixed. Read through other reviews, and will see the same feedback.. Tackle the issue so it can be more enjoyable for us players. Thank you!

I finally became frustrated enough to write a review. First of all, it’s a fun game. It really is. That said, it just drops connection all the time. I’ve easily lost 15k+ coins off both types of matches just disconnecting. Ive tried turning off wifi, leaving it on, everything. It doesn’t matter. It keeps me from trying some of the more expensive courses I’ve qualified for because I will become irate if I just throw some of those amounts in the garbage without having been beaten first. It’s just incredibly frustrating. Also, I can figure out how to change my name from guest without (probably) linking to Facebook. I don’t have a Facebook and I’m not creating one for an app.

In principle, it’s a fun game. But there is one easily fixable flaw which makes the game impossible. When a player leaves, whether in 1v1 or in 6-player mode, the game disconnects and all of the players lose their bet without getting anything in return. This means that if a player is far behind and leaves, it is treated as a loss for everyone. If the developers changed it so that in 6-player mode just continues without the missing player AND that in the 1v1 mode it is considered a win for the player who did not leave, then the game would be 5 stars. Instead, it is incredibly frustrating to play

I’ve played about five games, only three of them actually finished. I’m using an iPad Pro and the game seems to stop abruptly on the second or third hole. I was like 5 strokes ahead going to the third hole — two birdies — boom the game ends with no warning. What the heck! The other golf game these guys wrote used to do the same thing.. It’s a real pity because I was having fun but this is really frustrating. I have played other highly interactive multiplayer games with no issues.

Update - per recommendation, did reinstall which helped a little but the third game I played exited prematurely. Note, there was no crash, the game merely returned to the default screen after the second hole. My money for the game was gone as was my win as I was in first place. My connection is very fast and I never have any issues with other apps, so I am not sure why it exits as there is no explanation or fanfare — it just quits the game. It would be nice if you didn’t lose your money as I have never lost a game except the three that exited early and took my entry fee with them.

I would have given this more stars, but there needs to be an improvement. Don't get me wrong. I just started playing this game today and I really enjoy it. I reached Level 4 and started playing on Sunny Heights course. Every time I play, the game kicks me out halfway through the game. And I end up losing my entry coins.
Total coins lost is 900. It's very aggravating.

Is this a glitch that will be fixed soon? I hope so! I refuse to pay for coins until then. I don't think it's my device. I play on an iPad 3rd generation. Please advice. I want to give it more stars, it at this point, I can't. Sorry!

I enjoy the game very much, however I lose most of the game because of a connection error after I started the game. I have one gig of Internet, I have plenty of Internet source but it just disconnects and I have to start all over again I’ll lose my money. This happens very frequently on my iPhone X, I think I will have to use my iPad which I have no problem with. If you don’t fix this soon I’ll just find another golf game!
