About: THE ONLY NAVIGATION APP FOR MICRO MOBILITY ScootRoute is the first and only
transit app that focuses in-depth on vehicles in the micromobility space,
including scooters, bikes, and mopeds. Any vehicle on 2-3 wheels that travels at
less than 30 mph qualifies as a micro mobility vehicle and will benefit from
ScootRoute! Find directions and plan the perfect route to your destination
based on the needs of your vehicle.

About ScootRoute

Micro mobility-friendly routes - ScootRoute only suggests routes that are appropriate for scooter navigation and other micro mobility vehicle travel.

The app has data on speed limits, bike lanes, parking zones, sidewalk rules, and other factors that are important in any path finder catered to the micro mobility world.

The Harley-Davidson app helps moped riders find routes, but scooter and bicycle travel is out of the picture until you find a dedicated bicycle navigation app.

Find bike paths and other safe routes.

Whether you’re a vehicle owner or renter, a micro mobility enthusiast or occasional rider, ScootRoute will guide you safely to your destination every time.

Map scooter routes, moped routes, bicycle and e-bike routes, or even hoverboard routes using the app’s advanced technology and GPS navigation.

They sometimes help you find bike routes as well, but the support stops there with biking.

ScootRoute combines them all to build an ideal experience for all micro mobility vehicle riders.

City transit can be difficult, but ScootRoute suggests the city routes that will work best for you.

And, of course, they’re a lot of fun to ride! The growing popularity of these transportation methods makes ScootRoute a must-have for anyone in the micromobility community to experience safe travel.

Frequent technology updates - For route optimization, ScootRoute uses three different mapping technologies to build a complete picture of the roads at all times.

Micro mobility vehicles are amazing for city dwellers who don’t own a car but hate public transportation.

Dangerous freeways, clogged roadways, and off-road bike routes are a no go.

The next time you rent a city bike, you don’t have to worry about bike navigation or download another bike app.

I’ve been wanting an App like this for years.

I had a 50cc Yamaha Vino for years and I will soon be the owner of a Honda Trail 125/CT125. Small displacement engines and US speed limits don’t always mix but ScootRoute lets you create a route with your top speed in mind. I can set a 45 mph max speed (the Trail 125 can go faster but gives you a little more wiggle room), and ScootRoute successfully routes me around highways and 55 mph county roads. I have two requests: allow for routes over 300 miles, and allow downloading maps for offline use, even if those are paid add ons. The scooter and low displacement motorcycle community will eat it up.

Great Idea

this app is awesome in helping me plan a scooter route based on my current street abilities. It would be great if it had Bluetooth ability so that you could not only plan your route, but hear the turn by turn commands on your Bluetooth device, while wearing a helmet on a noisy scooter.
I’ve noticed that the “Steps” often list the wrong street names and / or travel miles, but the actual route is perfectly lined up.
ScootRoute is an awesome idea that needs work.

Almost....

ScootRoute fills a gap in map software. I like to use it on my 50cc scooter to avoid fast roads. ScootRoute is a bit buggy and slow to respond, but gets the job done. I wish I could get rid of the ads. Its asks me each time to accept the terms, and to use motion data. It also only shows top down view on the map. But will all that said, its taking me new places on roads I feel comfortable on with such little horsepower.

Great for Bikes too!

I bike to work every day and even though I can use Google maps I use this app to be on the safer side. I like it because the first thing they asked me is for Destiination and I’m usually in a rush. It’s become part of my morning routine and as the world opens up I can’t wait to use it to get all over the place.

Great concept but fatal flaw

Love the routes that it gives but turn-by-turn directions are annoying because it keeps recalculating every 10-30 seconds. So unless I want to hear “recalculating” 3,000 times during my ride, I have to just keep pulling over to look at the route on my phone.

Even great for city-to-suburb rides

My son and I like to go on long bike rides. Scoot Route is great because it helps us avoid busy roads and hills. I have been able to explore brand new routes I never knew existed thanks to Scoot Route!

Finally!!!

I have been looking for help navigating the Boston streets for a long time. So excited to see ScootRoute in the store.

Great Idea

Finally I can ride my scooter navigating routes that are scooter-friendly! The Bike Lane integration is also super helpful! Looking forward to plotting more routes!!

Genius!

ScootRoute I’ve been waiting for! Thank you, this app, for making my scooter and bike rides safer and easier.

Great Idea!

Awesome application, great idea! Helps me navigate around streets and roads allowing me to avoid steep hills or highway speeds that are too fast for my scooter.

Can’t map out a route after last update.

After the last update I don’t see a way to enter a destination from my current location. What’s the point of ScootRoute if I can’t map out a route?

By

Used to be great

ScootRoute used to work great. Now the ads cover up where to enter your address. The keyboard pops up but nowhere to enter your destination. How did ScootRoute go from being so great to completely unusable?

By

Exactly what I wanted. Thank you

👍🏻

Nice idea, poor execution

App constantly shuts down while in use. On my last ride, I gave up and switched to Apple Maps.

By

Doesn’t show route based on max speed

I set the speed tolerance to 25mph, but it showed me a route along El Camino Real, where the speed limit is 35. Meanwhile, there are adjacent roads with 25mph speed limits that it ignored.

Help

Dude. Was super pumped on ScootRoute and then it comes spring and the new update won’t let me put in a destination. Doesn’t even tell me how long my route is. Broken app at the moment. PLEASE FIX.

By

Even apple maps gives safer directions

They really expect me to take the Long Island Expressway with a scooter that goes 35 mph

Terrible directions in SF

Trying to direct an e scooter rider to go straight down one of the busiest main roads in SF that has no bike lane. Dangerous and totally useless.

I loved this app till yesterday

Great app to use for you scooters mopeds that can only go up to 35-45 mph. Until yesterday. Both my iOS and android phones 📱 stopped working. What’s happening?

Have uninstalled and installed again not working. Just says error after you search for a destination.

Unusable

ScootRoute does not update the map’s orientation or position as you ride your route. The buttons that would seem to control this functionality don’t work. The spoken instructions do still work as you ride along, but those are not that helpful without the map. I tried to submit a bug report but that doesn’t work either. I’d love for ScootRoute to work but at this point it’s unusable, unfortunately.

Great, could be greater.

Please make 3D, Thank you.
😊👊

Constantly rerouting

Constantly rerouting, doesn’t stick to original route either. Map orientation doesn’t follow the direction you are going either.
I originally chose a safe route, ScootRoute put me in a dangerous one instead. Being on two wheels…. Dangerous to be checking your route once you get going.

When I say rerouting…. Every second for my 130 mile journey.

Many better options

I have an e-scooter. I tried ScootRoute and had only bad experiences when navigating. The one good thing it does is give me an ETA based on max speed of my e-scooter. It’s given me bad routes, not updating location in real-time (minutes delayed), and other issues. I had to stop and use bike mode on Apple & Google - FWIW I’ve found Google has the best routes and mapping of scooter/bike only trails

App does not even open

I used to love ScootRoute, even though it kept rerouting. It still gave me directions to get to places on my scooter. It was great. But for a long time now, I haven’t been able to even open it. I hope they get it fixed/updated. 😊

Recalculating…

I’ve used ScootRoute to navigate within town and to get between towns, and it’s pretty good at getting me there on roads of 55mph or less.

However…

I wish there was a way to mute or disable the audio directions in ScootRoute , because as it is it tells me that it is “Recalculating…” often, even though I am not deviating from the calculated route. And by “often” I mean anywhere from once every two or three minutes to once every 10 to 15 seconds. This effectively means I can’t listen to anything during the trip because it is constantly being interrupted by ScootRoute telling me it is “Recalculating…”
