Nope!

I would’ve paid for HeartRateMonitor if it did what the ad claimed it would do. It showed the blood pressure monitor, and pulse. Sure, call me an idiot for thinking the blood pressure could be monitored without a cuff around the arm to measure the strength or force of the flow of blood. I knew better. Maybe I was just curious to see if it could really work. Maybe I thought they found a way around the cuff. I mean, they can measure oxygen in the blood through the finger. They’re coming out with all kinds of things! But I will NEVER support fraud. When you imply that it takes your blood pressure, it is still lying. Honesty is NOT about the cute ways you think you can get around “lying” with the way you word a phrase or show a picture. Honesty is exposing the truth, the whole truth and nothing BUT the truth. Honesty is about how the listener or reader UNDERSTANDS what you are saying. When you cause your users to understand that a blood pressure monitor is included, and you deliberately steer them in that direction, it is an outright LIE, and I refuse to tolerate it.

Interesting

This was more $$$ than I would normally spend but since I had a stroke I am always wondering how my heart is doing and since I will only see my heart Dr once this year I really would like to know how it is doing. Plus with the lock down I have gained a few pounds and not moving around as much. So I figure that maybe this will help. I will give it a try and if not will cancel. I figure it is better to know what is happening.

Blood pressure

I just watched it when it told me it was gonna cost me $75 and some cents I will keep it for this year and next year I am going to cancel it out I love the way it works really does good it tells me if I’m in normal or high or low that part I really like but next year I’ll go back to using my own blood pressure kit it’s wonderful if you have heart trouble to use this number saved your life and I can’t afford it

Easy to download and use, but deceptive!

HeartRateMonitor is something every concerned person should want to have available. It was easy to download and it is very easy to use. I have no problem with that. But the advertising said it was a free download, which suggests that it is a free app. It is not free; it is a subscription that has an expiration date and will automatically be billed to your account. I consider this deception!

Cindy Genovese

I just downloaded HeartRateMonitor and I think it’s terrific. For anyone who is “older” or someone who has health issues or lives with someone older or with health issues HeartRateMonitor is a MUST HAVE!! Great job👏 , it would be great if you could somehow incorporate a way to check your Blood Pressure at the same time you’re checking your Heart Rate🙏🏼👍❤️🤝🥰

Pulse

Love that Apple is coming out with this technology and I got my 5 watch just for being a new person with sinus rhythm problems. I got this the end of March and then u came out with the ability to do more heart stuff/sleep stuff. At this expense I. Cannot get another watch updated...but I need the technology..sad sad sad but live that these frontiers are opening!

No choice for free use

Description says you can upgrade to paid subscription without ads. But when I tried to start it, a popup shows with 2-3 paid options. I scrolled down to the bottom to see if there was an option to say ‘no thanks’ to the paid choices but nothing was there either.
I went back to HeartRateMonitor Store and it still says you can upgrade to paid version without ads.
Implying that you can see ads if you don’t want to upgrade.
Nothing mentioned in settings on HeartRateMonitor about subscription choices. .

Tried and now deleting

It does work but I am deleting it. I thought it was using the home button but one had to leave fingerprints on the camera lens every time it Is used. In my case I have to take my phone out of the case every time I would want to use it. When it seemingly tried to make me upgrade to the expensive upgrade I closed it and found the free version did work but after that I was disgusted and an now deleting it. I can take my own pulse rate without an app anyway.

Amazing!

Using my iPhone to check my heart rate is unbelievable! I've been concerned about what was going on lately because I sometimes feel that my heart is pounding at rest, but thanks to this new app it looks like it's all normal and I didn't have to find a cardiologist! Can't beat that!! Apple is just the BEST!

Heart is working. First signs of life

Upon starting HeartRateMonitor I found out that my heart is beating. I will repeat later tonight and for the next 3 days of the free trial. If my heart is still beating and HeartRateMonitor is way more informative than this We will beat together. If not I am afraid I will get a transplant to another app.

Too early to rate

So far it sounds as if I have accidentally signed for a chargeable app but I don’t yet know the price. I think it measured my pulse rate but this request to rate popped up before I could see it. I have seen none of the other stats that were indicated or promised.

Wanting Money before seeing how or if it works

Just another app maker after money. Doesn’t even let you test to see how well their app works for you or not. You could at least do either a 7 day trail or so many rate checks before you want your money. When you buy a blood pressure cuff you don’t have to pay a monthly or yearly fee. You pay one time. So yeah money is what your after with HeartRateMonitor.

Love it!

Easy to use. I am 60. Slight hypertension walk 5 miles 6 days a week. Love learning meditation and keeping an eeye on my heart rate made so simple with HeartRateMonitor. Very generous on the free side. I thought it was forcing payment at first and almost deleted it. Glad i left it and tried again.

Haven’t used all of what it offers.

According to the instructions HeartRateMonitor does everything I would want to know about my heart. I really just always want to know my pulse rate because I’m trying to get my resting pulse down. It’s fast and easy!

Will not pay

If you’re going to come out with an app to protect people from heart attacks and to protect them from high blood pressure it should be free then because it saves lives for you to be charging people for HeartRateMonitor then HeartRateMonitor is a scam it’s not even real I’m sorry I’m not paying when I can go through Upmc and get free blood pressure cuff sent to my home to check my blood pressure and I can take it anywhere I want so you know what it’s a scam everybody

Life Saver

HeartRateMonitor is very important because it is so easy to set up and use. We have the phone constantly with us. The phone is now an even bigger part of our health life. It sure means the world to me now!

By

Spam!

HeartRateMonitor tried to charge me $70 by immediately opening a subscription link as soon as I opened it. You are already using your thumb print to download and it uses your thumbprint to agree to a purchase immediately!!! The support feature is inactive and you have to open your App Store app and cancel subscription from there. You have 3 days from downloading to app to cancel or you see out $70!

By

Complete scam.

Listed under free apps, but you cannot do anything unless you pay for the $70 yearly subscription. No other option. There is a 3 day free trial, but you have to cancel 24 hours before the end. That makes it effectively a 2 day trial. I also suspect many of the 5 star reviews are bought reviews. Check out other negative reviews that is where the truth is. Apple needs to remove these con artists.

0-0

So I think it must of been a glitch I mean I hope. Cause I tested this with my dads monitor and it was accurate. So I never questioned it until now. I got a 0 in my first reading of the day. There’s an option for support in HeartRateMonitor and I was going to say/ask about it. But I guess you need pro version ..
