“Free” app but requires a paid subscription?

I used to use this app on my old android device, but never had to sign up for a subscription to use it. For iOS the only option is to sign up for a subscription to start using it. A “3 day free trial” is offered, but that isn’t helpful if you don’t want another subscription or can’t afford one. If you are going to make a subscription the only option, at least make that information known before people download the app.
Needs Work

In the morning, it’s still on previous day. Doesn’t automatically switch over. I have to power off my phone to get to the next day. Also, for people who speak English, it’s a bit odd…the reminder that pops up during the day says “why you don’t not drink?”
