Rumble Debate Reviews

Great app but frankly a bunch of idiots who try to use their religious beliefs or conspiracy theories to justify their distorted sense of reality and make it fact. The rating system only amplifies this as the person/idiot/conspiracy theorists you are debating gets mad when you throw logic, evidence and sound reasoning at them instead of speculation and conspiracy theories.

All in all, needs to be a better rating system and as well as a more thorough review of the rhetoric people are using.

I’ve had dozens of conversations in which I simply ask for evidence of said conspiracies, and every single time the opponent fails to provide it. The problem is, the “featured” section is hand picked debates by the creator, and they ONLY feature debates in which the right wing side looks like it’s winning. I and friend on RumbleDebate have had debates in which the other side reveals themselves to be a complete lunatic with some basic questioning, but those debates NEVER get featured. Huge annoying bias. RumbleDebate is swarming with conspiracy theorist from antivaxxers to election frauders, but the creator of RumbleDebate has made this a safe space for them by never featuring debates which challenge their weak ideas… ironic.

Beyond that, RumbleDebate is still very buggy, particularly the chat.

RumbleDebate is incredibly boring the prompts are terribly mundane and it’s fairly biased on topics. In all honesty the only use RumbleDebate proposes is the opportunity for trolling, an activity it seems most users have adopted either out of said boredom or as an initial interest, either way I wouldn’t recommended this as torture do you’re self a favor and find a nice book instead of this dribble.

Overall RumbleDebate serves its purpose but it has lots of bugs. There have been a few times where my rumbles will just disappear and I have no way of getting them back. Other times, I’ll be moving around RumbleDebate and it’ll just give me a blank screen and I have to exit RumbleDebate and reload it for it to work again.

Another issue I have with RumbleDebate is that it has a tendency of spreading misinformation. It will often pose something that has been debunked or proven true/false and acts like there are two sides.

Most of the people on here are annoying and obnoxious, but that's not an issue because you can block them. However, the people who send death threats and advocate for genocide are an issue, and should be banned. I have reported multiple people (including one who said he was going to shoot me) and none of them were banned. Fix this, and I will up my rating to 5 stars.

If you’re scrolling through a menu and navigate to a different tab, your scroll position gets reset. Annoying.

I like the concept of RumbleDebate, and I had high hopes for reasonable debates. However there is a huge right wing bias. On the featured debates section that lets you see others people’s debates, but no matter how much logic, evidence and citations the more left leaning people use, the right wing position get the vast majority of votes.

RumbleDebate could maybe use moderators that you can call or something similar but it’s good overall. Just running into a lot of trolls. All of the bugs and suggestions I had were submitted in-app which is nice. Good app overall.

I like that you can make suggestions and most people on here are respectful I just wish there was a way to stop inactive users

Good app. But the rating system is a little weird since people who won’t even listen to real news sources are rating one-star. All they want to see is fake news.

I love RumbleDebate, but I have two suggestions: (1) make a way to have friends in RumbleDebate so that one can debate someone one likes again on a different topic, and (2) add the ability for users to create/suggest/vote on custom topics. For example, if I wanted to debate on “Windows be Mac” or “The existence of God” or something, I would love if there was a way for me to do that. Otherwise, I love the concept and execution of RumbleDebate, and it is exactly what I was looking for! I will definitely recommend it to friends, and I hope the user base grows so we can have more various and interesting conversations!

I enjoy RumbleDebate because I get the opportunity to talk with others who don’t share my opinions, experiences and political views. I like that the topics regularly update which keeps things fresh.

RumbleDebate is a way to have a very good discussion with somebody about a topic that you may disagree on but it is all done out of kindness and I love that because you don’t get so much of that anymore

RumbleDebate is truly the best place for healthy debate. It is by far the best platform for constructive conversations. We all have something to gain by hearing different view points on topics we are passionate about. Highly recommend!

In these times of public discourse dominated by tribalism and hyper partisan shouting matches being passed off as “news,” an app that allows and encourages individuals to have a civil, one on one conversation about the topics of the day isn’t just a good idea, it’s a service to Democracy.

This is a great way to challenge political beliefs you have by debating with other individuals, which is not something many people get exposure to. I would highly recommend downloading this and exploring whatever political stance you may have.

App is well made and serves a good purpose - healthy debates on very relevant topics. I really enjoy it and have interesting conversations I wouldn’t otherwise have had, especially during the pandemic when you’re not socializing as much. This is a fantastic outlet to keep intellectual conversation going and get to understand other point of views.

Great idea! With all the division in the world having 2 people with different opinions the ability to talk it out can be very productive

I’ve never seen an app that allows you to full express your thoughts in an unfiltered way. It’s been fun debating important topics.

Those 3 adjectives only BEGIN to describe this application; one can only IMAGINE what this can do for society. One giant step in the correct direction for all of mankind.

So far so good. Having good dialogue with fellow rumblers. Highly recommend.

The LEAST effective way to pass judgment on Rumble is a review of the Featured Bouts. Those bouts seem to show bias, misinformation, rudeness and nasty comments. Instead, review the FEEDS section to get a better picture: friendly, respectful, engaging, interesting perspectives. These bouts are between the most active debaters. Showing respect is paramount.
