Jewels of Egypt Match 3 Puzzle Reviews

I enjoy this game. But honestly the only reason I am playing it is because my jewels of rome stopped allowing me to watch videos to earn jewels. I stupidly fell for their .99 deal and bought some jewels in JUNE. It’s now October and I have never again been allowed to earn jewels. You need jewels to buy tools. It’s no fun to play when you don’t have access to tools for the harder puzzles. You could play the same puzzle for a week and not solve it without a finisher. So I am starting over, switched to jewels of Egypt and will never fall for the .99 deal. Update: developers say the videos to earn jewels is not meant to go on forever, well it was quite the coincidence that the same day I bought the .99 cent jewels, my ads quit. If that is true and I eventually can’t earn jewels in the Egypt game, I’ll quit and got find another match game. After all, they are a dime a dozen.

Just another matching clone. There are no instructions and it is not intuitive. No, I am not bothering to Google the rules or concepts. Add an optional tutorial. If there is one now, I didn’t see it.. I almost randomly play, like the randomly falling pieces. The game often has all the fun, making new matches with what pieces the game has drop into place. It works to fill a few minutes of a break until the energy quickly runs out and the developers demand real money to play. Then I go back to work. Update: I did an email stating there are hints and I can contact them with questions. No, this is not worth that much time. The graphics are more interesting than the original version, but the actual playing is less interesting. I play with the annoying sounds off.

It’s kind of an ok game. There’s a lot of junk added in, making it bothersome to play. And I detest that they want my email address (admittedly to send me spam) in order to save my progress. I’m certain I’ll be deleting it soon. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………To the developer: I did NOT say there were too many quests in the game… I said there was too much JUNK (as in constant pop ups wanting me to “like” on Facebook, or harassing me to accept notifications, or bugging me to buy stuff). And, I was going to give my email until I read the part about you and your affiliates sending email promotions (aka ads, aka SPAM). The game is just not interesting enough to put up with the garbage in order to play.

Poor, terrible, ad system on all G5 games. I realize the game is "free", but blank ads, numerous ads, completely obsolete ads, and forcing you to the stores multiple times in a 30 minute session is not how to run a business. I have been sent to the store for EVERY G5 game and I'm not interested and the one game I play is getting to be too bothersome. Your patten robotic response to each occurrence is the same. Just stop the madness or reduce the number of ads. I love this game. The game itself is worth 5 stars in my opinion. But the number of times that it crashes is infuriating. I’ve recently made a decision that once it crashes for the third time, I’m done for the day. Sometimes, I don’t even get to play at all. And it is super wonderful after they add a new storyline. Be prepared for crashes for at least 24 hours. I would love it if they would work out the bugs before releasing something new.

When I have complained to “Complaint Line” they want details like the exact moment something happened. Usually a crash happens and I can’t get in at all. By the time I can get in, it’s hours later and I can’t answer their questions. Or the time I requested info on getting an update. I explained that I had done all the steps (I told them exactly what I had done) but that the game update did not load. Guess what they told me to do! They told me to follow all the steps that I had told them I’d done. It appears to me that they have a pre-generated answer for questions and complaints. They saw “update” and gave me a standard, pre-written answer that absolutely did not help.

If you love match 3 games, I would highly recommend “Cradle of Rome 2.” Absolutely the best. Have played it start to finish many times.

I don’t understand. It seems like the more we progress the more difficult it becomes to improve. I don’t know about anyone else, but playing the same challenge 10 to 15 times and still not completing it makes me disinterested in the game. Why do that? I was so enjoying the game, but find myself constantly frustrated. I would think your goal would be to keep people playing the game. Life is so stressful in general, so I would appreciate it if you would stop making it so difficult. Five times per challenge is sufficient. It would make me want to stay with this and other G5 games.

I really liked this game until I got stuck on a level for 4 days. You have to have power boosts to make it through, I guess. The only problem is that you have to have crystals to buy them and you can’t earn them in the game, you’ve got to buy them and I’m just not willing or able to spend that kind of money on a game. So I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m going to have to just delete the game and find something else. It’s a pity too because this game is good except for the aforementioned problem.

I really like clockmaker, but it is RIDICULOUSly $$Expensive!!
If they had more variety and reasonable pricing, I would be playing it rather than this game, why?
Graphics - Yours are too cartoony.

Too much of same thing: Goal maybe different, MY ROPE, huh?? But basically it’s the same match 3 over and over again.
Sound affects: sometimes sound affects can make the whole game, like Slingo did.
In the game it’s hard to see how I’m doing. How many whatevers have I gotten and how many turns do I have before I run out of moves. There’s so much clutter on the screen, I can’t tell.
Rewards, it says I can win rewards like jewelry, but these really add nothing to my game. Why can’t I get a reward, like coins or rubies that I can use so I don’t have to buy MORE to keep the game going?
Difficulty- some games are sooooo difficult they cannot be won. Why not add in option Easy, Medium, and hard. Each type giving more time.

This can be rather repetitive, same things you are eliminating most of the time. Being in Egypt a great deal there are many other objects than could have been used.

Sometimes difficult to figure out what to do on certain levels but this was better than most and rather easy to collect items. The however comes in is it is just another gambling game. You usually needed to add more diamonds which cost money, for mostly one last thing to remove. Not really fond of gambling or addictive games involving so much money. You are always paying for more diamonds, I believe I received two without paying for finishing a level or task. Tired of spending money I deleted it. If there were a way to win diamonds sometimes I might not have deleted it. Over $30 for two days not my thing.

I absolutely love your games, and I play seven of them on a daily basis, and I have for a few years now since Covid. However, the recent sounds that most of your games are now making after every move, we make is so annoying because I enjoy hearing the music and now you have added these silly sounds on top of them including the geckos. Is there a way that we can turn off? Those sounds and just listen to the music? I know you can turn off the music, but I would prefer the music over these annoying sounds. Thanks for making great games and your graphics and animation are spot on and very artistic. You have very artistic people that draw everything including the baskets that we win for each event. Thank you so much.

I’ve been mostly enjoying this game and the variety of goals and challenges. The frequent prompts to make a move are distracting when you are trying to study the board for your next move. Perhaps the rushing of your moves increases your chances of losing the puzzle? But, the biggest annoyance is that, after purchasing a few gems, I’m receiving multiple pop up messages for “great deals” in purchases inserted between puzzles. I know you are trying to earn a living. But, please knock it off. The overselling is not necessarily appreciated and is off putting thereby decreasing enjoyment of the game.

Play several of your g5 games, but I seem to enjoy this one the most. Maybe because it is the newest, but I don't get as frustrated completing the tasks. So far I have been able to play without needing to purchase anything. Being retired and on a limited budget, the once the thing would be if you were given more tools to achieve the goals

Play all the time even the specials now all of a sudden I click on it gets to the 1st page and then crashes don’t know if it has something to do with the phone update or not. I would love to come and be able to make this a five star game again? Issue has been fixed and I’m back in business. Thank you G5

I love all of the games I have downloaded from G5. I wish that there was a way to get more keys to unlock gifts in the challenges because sometimes my gazebo gets full and I am not able to collect gifts. I love that you can visit friends and help them out. Would love to see that aspect of the game evolved more. Not sure why I can skip the extra moves left after I complete a round on jewels of Rome but have to wait on jewels of Egypt. The graphics keep getting better and better with each update. Keep it up G5 I love everything you are doing!

This is a great match 3 with challenging replay-ability. There are plenty of opportunities to earn helpful bonus items and gems through events and completing stories, no need to spend money unless you are impatient or you really want to buy something. The Union feature and events have been a fun way to interact with other players. Support is responsive when there are game bugs.

Finding it good for brain health. Love the simplicity of the drop part of the game, however it takes a bit of figuring out how to go about playing the game. There is plenty of help explaining as you go through the paces. Still trying to figure out some things. I especially like the fact that you can still play without having to spend real money, since I am on a very fixed low income.
Keep up the good work in creating fun games.

I’ve been playing this game for years, and one of my favorite parts is how varied the backgrounds are for the puzzles, as well as how often new scenarios are introduced into the story context. The visuals are sophisticated enough to be interesting, and the new characters that are introduced during events give more dimension to the storyline of the settlement. I end up looking forward to whatever the next new thing is and really love that I can mostly play the game without absolutely having to spend money to advance in it.

This is the best M3 game out there! The creators give us constant updates, frequent events, and reasons to login daily. ❤️this game!!!

VOID >>>This weekend’s Scroll Scoop Event has broken my game. I’ve completed the event, got the final chest, and as soon as all the goodies are parsed out the game crashes. I’m on an iPad running 15.0. I’ve closed down everything, rebooted, done everything short of uninstalling and reinstalling which I really don’t want to do. I have a few hundred gems and I’m lvl 119. The last time I reinstalled I lost all my gems and all my progress. Can you get a fix out please?

Your games are really fun!, but then they get too difficult for me & I have to delete... I thought I should let you know that I had a head injury in the past & my manual dexterity is slow & I don't have very fast reactions to things. So... It's me! I love your games, they are the best out there!!! The e-mail I just sent is my correct e-mail! I’ve had this problem several times, please correct it for me!

I have enjoyed playing Jewels of Egypt. It’s challenging and fun. I do get aggravated at times when I don’t have enough moves to get just one more item to complete the game. I do wish the festival’s would last longer. I never get all the way through them. I enjoy the Mahjong games. I find them more of a challenge than some of the other games offered.
