Trend Micro Ad Blocker Reviews

Despite whitelisting Google itself, most search results when I am actually shopping will not load, giving me a browser error that the site has been blocked by the ad blocker. Even when I whitelist THAT site, still happens. Only way to stop it is to turn of the extension. I contacted support and THAT was a very bad joke. They asked for my info so they could call me and they never did. 3 more emails trying to close the ticket, followed by my telling them NO YOU DID NOT SOLVE MY PROBLEM, followed by profuse apologies in broken English and promises of follow up... and now I just give up. A bad product and even worse support. 

P.S.:They seem to try to hide this on TrendMicroAdBlocker Store, but this is Trend Micro.

It's sad that developers and companies do all they can to avoid any blame or be the root-cause to a problem with THEIR app by having you Accept the garbage that will be installed onto your computer, in exchange for them having unlimited access to collect, keep and sell anything they decide to collect...all for profit. There's no benefit to have something TrendMicroAdBlocker claims to offer, from a company that tries harder to work around laws than to actually apply the same effort to better a user's experience without collecting then selling Personally Identifiable Information.

It’s like kinda alright, I mean, it blocks a significant amount of ads, but I do not think that it really helps and blocking all ads. Like, for instance, I have ad block on Google Chrome on my computer and it works great and blocking literally EVERYTHING. But on my iPhone, it seems that it only blocks maybe half of everything. I don’t know if it is because it might be a free version or you have to pay for all, but if that was the case, then why does it block all my ads on my computer but not my iPhone? I guess I would rate it four stars but because it doesn’t provide the same services (that I know of) i’m rating at three stars

I like my privacy and I appreciate that TrendMicroAdBlocker helps block a lot of tracking calls. It does have one very annoying issue: the “in-app” switch doesn’t stay on. If you turn it on, it will stay that way for a while but you have to check it every day or two to make sure it is still on. Sometimes it turns off for no apparent reason and without a notification.

So before switching to safari, I was using uBlock origin as my daily goto for ad blockers. But after swithcing back to Safari for the simplicity and ease of access that it gives me across all my Apple devices, AD Block One has yet to disappoint me. Granted, I was using AdGuard before this but I find that ABO does not slow down browser speeds as much as AdGuard does.

This Ad Blocker seems to be pretty good. Of course, Trend Micro usually makes solid software. While I believe the software's performance is pretty good, I feel uncomfortable with the fact Antivirus One forces you to install Ad Block One in order to provide a "Protected" status in Antivirus One.

Additionally, while I understand reviews are important to developers and software companies. the fact of the way AdBlock continually nags for a review on top of the forcing you to use their software feels… wrong.

Yes. I could have just kept using my previous Ad Blocker and lived with the "Unprotected" Status in Antivirus One, but I licenced AdBlock One not only to protect my system but to make it easy to track how well I am being protected. I realize I could also live with the review nag, but honestly who likes that?

Its only been a few days but it says its blocked almost 900 ads and pop-ups. Which is extremely nice. I didnt like that I had to purchase another product from them, it felt like a bait & switch in a way, but I did it anyway, so as long as it continues to work, I don't have an issue. I just felt it should all be upfront what the costs are, not... oh now you need to purchase this after I already purchased something.

I like most all of the trend micro line products!!!! House call was a great help before I switched to Mac. Chrome has a bunch of holes in its OS but ad block does a fair job of plugging them but still have some that still are annoying! I wish I could figure out how to update for chrome and safari.

I downloaded this because I got a virus from a "are you human" type pop up, whiched looked decently dependable, I was on a non alarmoing website, but Oh well, I clicked on the proving im not a robot thing and that was my downfall. Instant lagging, more pop ups and boom, virus. So i went to emergency mode, turned off my internet on my mac and went to my phone to see what I should do. after HOURS of doing what was reccomended by apple and other dependable websites I was still getting popups. I then decided to download TrendMicroAdBlocker, and it immediatly found what was wrong and got rid of it. It's free, and definetly gives me some security of knowing that in the future I will be protected against viruses

I kinda forgot I downloaded TrendMicroAdBlocker, well, not KINDA, I completely forgot. But that's how good it is. It blocked almost 8,000 ads without me knowing it was even there. I don't notice any kinda of performance hit, either. I'm glad I took the chance and downloaded it.

In the last couple of months I started getting plagued by rogue Apps that just appeared out of nowhere into my compouter. These rogue Apps were impossible to delete manually, until I subscribed to Antivirus One and AdBlock One.
These computer police Apps really works and I reccomend them unreservedly.

Superb Ad Block that every mac machine should install ensuring another level of blocking those that want to collect your personal internet searches to push there own agenda what "They" other companies want to direct you too to make $$$$ money by sharing your personal online conection to the world for personal gain. "CYBERUS" STRONG!

Very surprised when i got it and is amazing just one problem the extra vpn that removes ads turns off after a day but other than that its amazing and would recommend for crunchy roll and other website with ads. Thank you for making a amazing app like this keep it up.

Purchased a new Macbook Air and added multiple TrendMicro applications to keep everything clean and safe. It says it blocked 962 ads in less than 24 hours. I don't know if Safari wouldn't have blocked most of those anyway but TrendMicroAdBlocker can't hurt and seems to be useful.

This is what I call total tracking and ad block to the Max and they have there app made bulletproof as for the other ones that these sites claim the top 5 ….. not 1 of the other ad blockers will be as good as the ones who designed this well you just blew every single other ad blocker away I can’t take them seriously because everyone that has claimed this is the top five this one’s a top one well, I’ve tried other ones that you have not even looked at that other ones that may be a lot bigger than your top five from these so-called news

Not a bad app whatsoever, especially considering many good features are for free, rather than actually having to pay for them. I don't have a premium membership, but I would personally definitely reccomend TrendMicroAdBlocker as it has been doing an absolute great job just blocking every website that is malicious/contains some sort of virus.

I installed TrendMicroAdBlocker a couple weeks ago after doing a lot of research on these type of apps I wasn’t sure if this one was gonna work or not but it’s amazing how many attacks on my phone TrendMicroAdBlocker weeds out a day and I am just using the free version I am still very amazed, and extremely pleased I would recommend for anybody that wants some peace on their phone to download TrendMicroAdBlocker.

This is crazy, I was talking to my friend and he was talking about how he uses an ad blocker (he use chrome and windows in mac and safari) and a specific website was giving me ad issues so I searched ad blocker for Mac and this is so helpful. It’s a bit annoying for YT ads that are really long because it takes a bit more time but that’s ok because it blocks trackers and other weird ads so it’s overall a 10/10

I have only used this extension for a little while, but I can say that it is doing really well. The main reason I chose this extension is that there are no in-app purchases or any "premium/pro" subscriptions, which are a waste of money. This one may not a few of the fancy things that some of those "pro" versions have, but it still works really well. And for free, I cannot complain one bit. I like how this is still being updated and minor bugs are being fixed. Keep up the good work!

Ad blockers always work for me. In a day in age where literally full blown adult pornographic ads are plastered everywhere and me personally not wanting to see that- apps and extensions like this are what gets the job done. Seriously, there are kids who surf the internet- people need to be more careful!
