Signed up for an sms option since I live outside U.S., attracted by "free" texts to test service. After sending and receiving one text, free service evaporated (not quantified by likely number of texts), and the site then revealed its high cost for texts afterward on -- over and above the monthly fee. I sought support feedback, which responded only with unhelpful after-the-fact explanations. Get clear with them on total likely costs for service you'll use before completely wasting money on a first month.

I tell you what if they know it’s not going to work calling an American number, and then sit there and have the same audacity to say because American laws they can’t call American, which is a lie. If that was the case. Apps like TextNow, Pinger, Next would be nonexistent too. This is a scam. They should be ashamed. I don’t really write reviews often but I’m gonna call this one out like I see it.

Apple, I’m asking you to do something to get this scam of a company out of here for the hard-working Americans.

Great phone numbers available, easy to set up, straightforward to use, even looks good, but it doesn't work reliably. Texts may or may not come. The one thing it is supposed to do, it does not. Moreover, I paid for a subscription but still only received a few "credits" for texts? Doesn't even charge properly. A total bust. Do NOT buy Texter unless they address these issues explicitly in an update.

Thought at first that Texter worked really well, but after two text exchanges it stopped sending and/or receiving messages and I still had over 100 credits so I was clearly not the problem. I would love it if they would remedy the situation but I doubt they will so now I’m stuck feeling like I wasted my money

Texter is ridiculously expensive and doesn’t work well , i got charge $4.99 for a phone number - when trying to use it ; I can’t because I have to purchase now credits which is $2.99 more . The least expensive is almost 3.00.

Please refund my money and let me cancel my subscription. This will not let me send US texts.. It also does not let you cancel your subscription this is a scam. Please cancel my subscription and give me a refund..

Purchased the monthly plan and as soon I sent my 1st message. A pop up came up stating that they cannot send out text to US numbers. I want a refund seeing that I wanted Texter for my device and to use for work.

Texter is very pricy, and does not perform well. There is no free trial/free option either.

Don’t trust them!!! It was working great for a while. Now when I try to text or change a number, it says something went wrong! Please don’t waste your time with this! I’m fed up!

Needed a simple app for gsm texting and came across a lot of huge apps with billion features. So glad I found this. Easy, quick, cheap, wokring.

I hate sharing my personal phone number with strangers and that's exactly why I keep on having my this app number on hand.
