Doesn’t work with new iOS updates

Used to be able to connect directly to my phone with the WiFi. Now says it can’t connect to the recorder immediately after tapping the connect button on the app even after I’ve connected to the WiFi and I’ve endured it’s all set up properly. Tried reinstalling the app, factor resetting the camera, even resetting my phone and nothing works. Ditching their broken app and camera for something better.
App no longer allows video download

I was able to download videos in the past but this function no longer works as of yesterday. The app only allows you to download a PICTURE. NO VIDEOS. Pointless. For reference, I have a iPhone 13 out to date on all iOS updates, I am attempting to use on a super old or buggy device. Very disappointed we spent like $150 between an sd card and a proper car mount and it only lasted a couple years. TRASH.

The interface is not intuitive or user friendly, so the most obvious function (downloading videos) is a pain to figure out.
What’s worse is that my iPhone reports 25-30% of my battery life is being used by this one app, even when it should not be connected to the camera. What is it doing that eats up so much power?
