Well this app displays server information adequately it’s still needs a lot of improvement. The best example is the library‘s view. When you open one of the libraries in this you have only two options a big picture of a single video or a little picture of a single video at a time. If it were displayed more like in the Plex app used for viewing the videos then it wouldn’t take so long to scroll through and edit information if needed. It just feels clunky and not as easy to use as the original Plex app and should match that as much as possible.

I like the idea of having a way to monitor the server remotely. This app helps, but it’s got the potential to being a better app. Having the server graphs is very nice once you figure out how to find them. I like Varys because that’s a button right there, but that’s an enhancement request really.
I hope to see better reporting in this app. Varys allows me to see down to who is playing what on what device. This app seems primitive to that feature. To be honest you can’t even manage home users or friends to the server from the app.
When you view the server logs in the app, it infinitely loops the log and you have to crash the app to go back to the previous page. It makes it useless when it comes to troubleshooting issues.
To be honest and I know this sounds dumb, but I’d just add this to the original Plex app for admins profiles. It’s sort of silly to have so many apps to do something so simple as this. I can almost see a need like plexamp, but even that app seems like it could be migrated to the original app too.
I still use Varys to monitor my server and for a couple bucks I was able to unlock some great reporting features that are very handy actually. Keep up the hard work and I know this can be a much better app!

I LOVE that we’re getting this and it all just worked on sign in, but I immediately missed the ability to set custom artwork via url and upload, grid view when viewing libraries, and most other admin functions like emptying trash, renaming and deleting media, selecting database sources, etc.
So I think it’s a great start, but has a way to go yet before I can consider parting ways with server management via the web UI, which is ultimately what I’m hoping for (5 star rating reserved for that). Either way, thanks Plex for being awesome and for taking these first steps!
