Pump It Up M: Beat Finger Step Reviews

Great game! I really think most parts of the game are really good, my only suggestions would be when playing a level map, to have an option to restart from the beginning of the map, and the quit button shouldn't play the fail exit and should take you straight back to the level select. Lastly i feel like after using all of the golden shoes you originally start with, and after you burn through most of the quests, its still very difficult to get to the price of most golden shoe unlocks with how many of them are in the game, so i think more of a golden shoe reward for first completion of each difficulty of a level (higher difficulty level the more) and maybe a slightly increased daily reward, with maybe a change of if you miss a day it restarts or goes back a spot or two would balance that too. Other than that, amazing game, fun to play especially since you dont need good wifi to play it i give a 9.9/10 ;)

Initially I had written about running into numerous input delay or detection issues. After some investigating, I may have discovered the root of the problem. In the options you can change the size of the input areas (arrows) and I increased it by 30%. I decided to go back to default and noticed a significant improvement on my score.

For example my previous score on Can Can (8) was 344PP, 50P, 8G, 4G, 2B, 0M.

After reverting to default it is now 352PP, 55P, 1G

Not ideal solution for people with big hands, but at least this makes the game playable. There still might be that occasional hit wonder, but it is much more rare now.

When updating this review, I was going to bump my rating from 3/5 to 4/5. There is still no retry and the load times are a little long.

However the base game is such a great value for free and nothing is locked behind a hard paywall. So many classic songs are available to start with.

They also offer ways to earn the in game currencies through daily challenges, watching optional ads, or just by playing normally.

I love Pump so much and did not want to give up on PumpItUpM. So I will go ahead and give it a 5/5 based on the positive and on faith they have improvements in the future.

I grew up playing this game on psp and xbox original! So happy to play it handheld again and with so many new settings/options. The only thing I’d want is more songs and especially more of the old songs from the original game. It also can be a bit buggy especially with the shop menus.

This game is really nicely built and I appreciate all the fixes and improvements made to it in the past year!

I believe it could be possible to add doubles, it would work especially nice on iPad with more screen space, just a thought though.

I love pump It up. It was my favorite game growing up. I really love this new mobile version but it needs some improvements. The Game was great until it got rid of Almost Half of the K-pop Originals and Half of the old ones and replaced with modern K-pop. I really hope this changes in the future. Thx

Pump it up mobile is great! There are just a few additions that I would hope to see in the future!

1. There should be a restart button too so you don’t have to go back to the home screen.
2. Sometimes when I hit the pad, it delays or it doesn’t read my movements right away. Please fix.

Love this game, works well normally, but the most recent update has caused some issues. There has been stuttering for the notes in all charts (imagine the gimmick in 86 S20), and the loading screens are significantly longer than they were in the previous updates.

Hi, I love to play this game but started getting a message saying “unable to complete ssl connection” I am so sad because I can’t play it anymore. I uninstalled and install and nothing. Maybe a bug?

Great game! Will there be addition updates on the songs for pump it up mobile? Such as adding into K-Pop genres similar to arcade mode games. Please please please update with kpop songs definitely should do the work. Follow its software update great collaboration! Great app! Great game! Awesome no problems but would be more awesome if kpop songs were added too!

The game is great, touch screen mechanisms are really nice!

However, the game still needs debugging.
1. Problem logging in from multiple devices. If you played on a phone (with Game Center) and then sometime later try to login from your tablet, the game is stuck in “loading” and the eventually says “this user already registered” o_O
2. Maybe it’s just me, but I cannot press three or more arrows at once. It just doesn’t seem to work. I can get around this sometimes with a quick “swipe”, but it’s not feasible in 19+ songs
3. On first start up when the game tries downloading an update, download often freezes and you need to restart the game to resume downloading

The beat of the song and the buttons are still glitching and fail to match up properly. Please fix this it’s very annoying😤

PumpItUpM works great for ios, and update 1.6 is even better! It takes way less time to start the game now, thank you!I wish the arcade version of PIU had the judgement this mobile game has.

It feels like I have a stepmania on my phone, absolutely love PumpItUpM! Wish the music videos would be on the songs like the arcade cabinets, but I know that would take up a lot of memory space.

Seriously thank you for making this game. I haven’t played PIU in years and this takes me back to my childhood. So far so good! My suggestion are the following:

- Add the actual animes in the background during the songs. Part of playing Canon D was watching the awesome animated story.
- Add songs from Exceed, Exceed 2, Zero, and Zero 2. There’s some gems missing like Dignity, Kiss Me, I’ll Give You All My Love, Fire Fighter, and more,
- Please add “Another Step” to this game! Canon D’s Another step in crazy was my favorite.

first off, just wanted to say that i've literally been playing this nonstop, i'm obsessed haha. i just really really really wish that there was a way to restart without having to wait for the game to load up the whole menu screen again. like if there was a restart button instead of the give up button. having to wait for it to load all over again throws me off so often. also thank you for fixing the problem with switronic!!

My only complaint is that audio quality could be a little better, and that bracketing is very difficult. Otherwise the gameplay is perfect.

Everytime I play hard mode on songs there is delays like the steps didn’t match the song and for some reason the accuracy of pressing the steps is not accurate lol I’ve been playing the real pump it up games but this brings back memories but they don’t see to work. The steps is not in sync with the music!! Please fix!

So I play ddr, and pump it up. But when I’m not at home… I play this! But there is one major problem, when I’m on pause and I continue, it freezes the arrows… please fix this! - Harper

I saw a video for Beethoven Virus and this game was one that was played, so I tried to get it but I couldn’t get past the Home Screen saying “Touch to play” because apparently the touch wasn’t working, I went through the reviews and saw that many other people have had the same problem.

Hey when I press “Touch to start” the game won’t load. Can this be fixed? Thanks.
