I thought that this game would only be about finishing common phrases and entering the words that fit definitions correctly. However, there is also quite a bit of trivia thrown in there too, but it is only about white people. There is zero trivia about black, Asian, Indigenous, or Latino people. Fix this or please take the trivia out. We learn about the history of mainly white ppl (98%) throughout many years of school from textbooks. I do not need to learn even more during what is supposed to be a relaxing game, especially when 100% of the trivia is only about white people again. The world is very diverse & consists of several races and many cultures. If you’re going to add trivia, it should reflect that diversity and their great contributions to society.

I know that in order to make games free you rely on ads for your profits. I play two different games that provide a cool way to handle the problem. In one game the person plays for awhile then after some time I think something like 7 or 8 minutes a timer shows up in the corner at the end of the 5 minute timer an ad pops up. So you get a warning an ad is coming on. The other game takes a different approach. In that game the ads are steady but you get 8 minutes of play time then an ad then 8 minutes of play time then an ad. I think this game would be really cool if it did something like these two games. Without ads there would be no free games. The quality of this one is great and I really like the music and graphics. But if the player had some warning either with a timer or with an ad after every fourth or fifth round this game would be awesome.

The game is good overall, and I play fairly often. My only complaint is this: after each clue is solved and the word found, you have the opportunity of giving that clue a thumbs up or thumbs down. Which is great - BUT - on the very last clue on each level, the moment you “cross off” that final word, the screen moves on to the next level, and there is no way to give thumbs up or down to that last clue. And since, if I am going to give a thumbs down, it is likely to be for a clue that is difficult. And the most difficult clue is likely to be the last one I find. So the hard clues never get voted on. Pretty useless to ask the players’ opinions and then not allow us to give our opinion of all the clues.

This game is so fun and can keep you busy for hours, but the scoring needs some work!!! First of all when a player plays a level and finishes it the game says the player wins seven thousand and some hundred points….BUT in all actuality the player only gets 15 points!!
THEN…at the beginning of each day the player gets daily points and sometimes the player gets to double those points but lately what has been happening to me is this: After I watch the video and it comes back to the screen to collect the double points…it just kinda freezes. So after that, of course, I get no points!!! And no it’s not my phone cause this is the only app it happens on.
It would be great if you could fix this!!

This game is actually very soothing (I turned off the sounds, though, and only keep the music on), until I realized that several levels are repeated. The repetition of entire puzzles actually causes me stress because of how unexpected it is and how relaxed I am until I see that clue. I really like that you can report a clue but maybe if we could report a full puzzle, that could help ensure this doesn’t happen. I mean, repeating clues every once in a while would be one thing, but whole puzzles, nah. That is why this is three stars instead of five.

I would give this game 5 stars but as I play along and I have the chance to double my reward, most of the time I only get the original half I earned. When I watch an ad to double my, let’s say 300 coins, I want 600 coins not the 300!!! In my world 300 double is 600. I know this happens often because my Mom plays the same game and out of all the times she has watched the ad just one time did it double. When it’s the only way to get points I want what I earn. I’ve had enough cheating in the past two months, I don’t want it in my game I play to relax!!! It would be nice to see this fixed ASAP

I have this game on my iPad and really enjoy it However, recently there seems to be an area of the puzzle that doesn’t respond, and it’s not the same area each time You have the clue, you see the answer but you can’t highlight it. What is even more frustrating is when it’s one of the last answers and you’ve got to use coins to highlight the first letter to make it start working so you can finish the puzzle. Finally, when you try to give them feedback, your only choice is “other”. This is why people resort to angry reviews!

I really love this game. It can be very addicting however I find myself not playing it as much as I like because I get fed up with having an ad after every single puzzle. Seems I’m watching ads much more than I am playing the game. I realize that ads are necessary to keep the game free however there really doesn’t have to be that many ads it takes away from the fun of the game so sadly I don’t play this game near as much as I’d like to.
EDIT: I realize that ads are what helps keep WordLanes free and is what allows for the game to be improved however most games allow you to play at least 3 or 4 puzzles or a certain amount of time before you get an ad that way it doesn’t get so intrusive and make you feel like you are being over run with ads. I honestly don’t mind ads, that is how I have found some of the games I really like. That is how I found this game. I just don’t want to spend 50% of game time watching ads.

There is a thing happening where I will complete a puzzle and go on to the next one, then close WordLanes for whatever reason but when I go back to the puzzle it goes back to the previous one I’ve already completed and I have to do it again. It’s been doing this for awhile and was just wondering if there was any way to fix it. Other than that I love WordLanes and I’ve been using to for years!

I’ve played this game for years. It is challenging , but no too much Perfect for aging brain. Lately however it won’t take the word I enter. I’m positive I’m correct, no matter how many times I try. When I get down to the last word, it finally allows the word! It’s happened several times. I’m at level 1133, and my points are almost 1 so I know and love the game. I hope you can fix this before I can’t take it anymore. Thank you for listening.

I really enjoy the game but am finding that after I’ve completed a puzzle section and am awarded my points after seeing phrases such as “excellent” or “impressive” followed by a number such as 2215 or 1950 that those figures are not being added to the total found in the top right hand corner. Those figures seem completely arbitrary UNLESS you choose to “spend” them to purchase a flashlight or compass - then they get subtracted correctly.

This is a good word game similar to a word search except the word is bent up. However, some clues are a bit dated. I had one, the description was: a circular receptacle for stubbing out cigarettes-answer was an ashtray. Today, smoking is highly discouraged and the number of people who smoke have dropped considerably. That’s not to say there are no smokers but the number doing this activity would make me think that the people who know what an ashtray is would be much, much less than it used to be.

Scoring is have issue once in the 260s after each chapter or what ever it should give 150 gold points and double that to 300 if you watch an ad. But instead it tells you your score is 300 and that if I watch an ad that is doubled instead of giving the 600 which I Know is an error it just gives the 300. This would a problem but what is worse , for the first time I chose not to watch the ad and see what happened if it would give 300 or 150
And it gave me Nothing no points at all.🤔😩👎🏼 so yeah you might want to fix that. I took several screen saves in case you want them I normally don’t read email I did try to contact you through email but there was always a failure to send so that’s it might want to fix the scoring or folks are going to start to get angry that they get no points if they don’t watch an ad. I enjoy this game a lot, I play on Vey hard and I enjoy the diversity and the accuracy of the clues. I also like that you can approve or dislike clues if there is an issue. My only complaint is that on higher levels you will actually get a repeat of an entire level. Like the same exact level from a hundred or so back. I am on level 350ish and it has happened about 10 times I’d guess… if you didn’t play as constantly as me you probably wouldn’t notice. There is not a constant bombardment of ads unless you want extra coins so that is a plus. :)

I love this game. A lot. The only issue I have is that I won’t pay to get rid of ad’s so I usually play when I’m not connected to wifi and my cellular for the game/app is off. Basically it has zero access to internet and yet, it still plays ad’s!! How?? Do they have ad’s coded into the game or something that can make them play with zero internet?? I didn’t use to have this problem, but with one of the last updates I now have ad’s all the time and while there’s no connection to internet. It’s baffling. I turn the game off every time I get an ad. So I’m not really able to play as much as I used to which is a bummer.

I adore this game and I agree with most of the reviews, sometimes you get all of the difficult clues all bunched together and it can be difficult but I have also experienced the freezing that others have noticed as well. I always find that my phone really heats up and my battery usage shoots through the roof while playing the game. I think the two are intertwined. I can’t play for any more than one bout before my phone gets uncomfortably hot to hold and starts to slow down and freeze on WordLanes . If you can find out what is causing it, I guarantee both problems will be taken care of. Great game otherwise. Just wish I could play it more.

I love this game. it's extremely addicting and I play it constantly in my free time. I love that it's not a typical crossword puzzle and that the words can go in different directions. however, I do wish this game was harder. I am currently on level 640 (I am not proud of this) and I am getting a lot of repeats of the same words which isn't challenging at all. occasionally I will get stumped but it doesn't take too long to figure the puzzles out. you can also sometimes identify words without even reading the clues which can make it easy to solve the level. I thought by this far in the game it'd be harder but maybe people don't really get this far because they actually have a life so who knows. I just wish it was a little more difficult!

Seriously one of the best games on WordLanes store! I find it pretty challenging on the hard setting and really enjoy playing - I could just play for hours on end! if anything, the per-level gold is a little low at just 15, but the daily bonus is a big help! I also would prefer less ads but I love this is so much that I would be willing to pay to remove ads.

I see a few people asking for the game to be harder. I think it’s just right as it is, because I don’t object an occasional easy word! Maybe you could include harder and easier levels and people could choose what they want.

What I really want to request is that you tweak the game so it will rotate on my iPad, so I can play it holding the iPad in landscape rather than portrait position. With the plug on the bottom, I can’t put my iPad on a stand or even prop it on my lap, as long as it must remain in portrait position.

The user interface is really part of what makes this game so soothing to play. The first 10 puzzles are super easy and then it asks what difficulty level you prefer. There are made-in opportunities to provide optional feedback without expending much effort. I’d like to see a level harder than hard, with more rows and columns, for when I’m in the mood for a bigger challenge, but the hard setting is just right for relaxed play.
