Playground works like a charm, however my notification will not appear on my phone i change all setting in my phone and on Playground . It even has a test to send notification and still i have nothing. I will be dropping my kid out of the day care they use cause I be can not get notifications about my kid
This was a great app the first few days then it started logging me out in the middle of checking in/out or after the signature it starts loading and it takes a while and just shuts down. I’ve tried deleting Playground and reinstalling and same thing. Could definitely be better.
Using the limited photo library setting as this app shouldn’t need access to the thousands of photos on my phone just to send a single photo of a missing item to a teacher via the chat.
Each time it insists that it doesn’t have any library access at all and tells me to enable access or reinstall Playground .
Reinstallation doesn’t fix it either, it still wants full access to all my photos.
Next step is to report this to Apple - updates that block basic iOS privacy features just shouldn’t be allowed.
Please fix the delay between scanning a QR code to sign in/out and being able to sign and complete the process. It kills me every time at pick up.
Always get a blank white screen while I use the sign out feature. Would have to uninstall and reinstall app for it to work again.
Had to do this 5 times in the last 2 months
The 522 version of Playground seems to show the notification bubble on Playground icon even when I’ve already viewed new content in the feed.
Having used several similar apps, this one is fine. My 2 cents … Playground experience needs attention. Having to pull down on screens (pull to refresh) for updated info is outdated.
Most annoying though, Playground badge won’t reset u less Playground is closed and reopened.
It works, it’s just a little too legacy as is.
There are many apps out there that do this same thing so it’s not the BEST. I appreciate being able to chat with teachers easily and parents. That’s the only gain I’ve had with it. But coming from another app to this one for our school, it has a lot more gaps than gains.
When multiple kids, the switch process is not efficient. Don’t even see which kid you’re switching to/from. It should list child’s name.
When you get a notification badge on Playground , there is NO visibility to what is new information in Playground . And with more than one kid, the frustration compounds.
When there are attached documents in the feed for a kid, like lesson plans, you can’t zoom in to read them. You have to download everything to your phone to then see what you need to see.
Work through these topics and you’d have a very worthy app.
We are a large center that needed an upgrade. this app was easy to use and train staff on use. Customer service has been spectacular.

I love how easy it is to change my pickup schedule or authorize new guardians. Playground is super simple and looks awesome. My favorite feature is the ability to create play dates - makes signing out way more convenient. Hats off to the developers.
this app has a QR code feature that helps us keep everybody social distanced and keeps our lines moving. We printed QR Codes and put them on tables outside our gate and parents come up 3 at a time to sign in. It’s been surprisingly easy to do it this way and many of our parents actually prefer this way.

this app has one of the best interfaces i’ve come across. It’s incredibly seamless to communicate with parents and vice versa, and hosts an array of features that are lacking in other applications. More than that, they have fantastic customer support for on-boarding and any questions one may have. Cannot recommend enough!
