I love this idea, but it’s barely usable. A few times I returned from a 3 kilometer run only to find that the unit hadn’t actually tracked any of my activity. Then there’s shooting the ball. I’ve taken 200+ shots and it recorded all but one as passes. Just idiotic. And now it’s started telling me that my phone isn’t connected to the internet, so it can’t sync. (Spoiler alert - I’m posting this review from my phone. On the internet.) I contacted customer service to see if they could help and they acted like they’d never heard of such issues. All one has to do is look at other review in adidasTEAMFX Store here to see that other people have had the identical issue. Very poor support of a very poor item. If I had it to do over, I’d just get a Fitbit.

In adidasTEAMFX and on here it states, “It's able to measure the number of kicks, shot speed, run speed and total distance run.“ And no where is there a way to access your shot speed, running speed, or anything related to that. Sure it’s cool that I can connect to fifa but as a player looking to get better I would like to know information like this in order to see what I need to work on and then compare this information later on. So I would not recommend this as it did not do what it Adidas said it would do, very disappointed.

I think this has a long way to go. Even if the stats were a representation that’s great...but now it has just stopped working or recording. I’ve reinstalled adidasTEAMFX a half dozen times with all her “stats” not recorded. My 10 year old daughter is a ‘high level’ athlete and this was supposed to be that individual motivation; alas this has been a huge disappointing Christmas gift, after having been the “cool dad”. It questionably recorded for a about 3 months, now it’s just a rock in her shoe. Let me know when you have a fix.

But it’s executed poorly. Like all first versions of products with high potential there will be teething problems but there are so many issues with it from not tracking shots, counting c.40% of kicks, app crashing during firmware updates (multiple times in a row), poor communication in adidasTEAMFX assuming it’s a bot, I could go on.

I love the idea and think there is a huge upside and potential to this device but not this version unfortunately.....I’m happy to keep buying new versions if they increase usability and correct tracking.

So I got the GMR tag for my birthday and I’ve tried for two days trying to get it to connect to my phone but I can never get past the part where it asks for your strong foot naturally being left footed I clicked on the left clear and pressed done but it keeps on saying failed to update stronger foot and I can’t finish the syncing I’ve tried 3 factory resets and have delegated adidasTEAMFX multiple times and have emailed the adidas GMR team and I haven’t gotten a respond I want this product to work so please respond if you have a fix.

The hardware and software integration is just plain bad it doesn’t track most of the time and shows it’s disconnected even though it’s connected and fully charged when you think that your stats are being recorded only to later comeback and see that barely anything has been recorded since it’s kept disconnecting throughout a session as an idea has great potential but under the hands of adidas who don’t make software or hardware the integration and experience take a massive hit to a pretty great idea of a product maybe actually invest in a proper dev team to get the integration sorted out as for the hardware guess that can’t be helped considering google make bad quality hardware and adidas doesn’t make any hardware

I got the tag yesterday and it worked fine when I synced it to the Fifa app. Today I tried syncing it but it said my phone wasn’t connected to the internet even though I could see it was. I deleted the GMR app and then reloaded it but when I put my email in it said that the “email verification failed”. I reloaded adidasTEAMFX on another phone and it said the same thing.

Had GMR 4-5 times I played soccer .Every time it showed total distance 0.6 miles when my Apple Watch had 7.2-7.4 miles .I don’t have another device to compare touches , ball speed or my own speed , but comparing distance makes me feel that all stats are wrong .
Sometimes it takes 10-15 times before you can connect to gmr . I never thought I will have bad reviews for Adidas , but it is how it is when you do something with google

Right around the third week I started using it suddenly it ask for the phone to connect to a network but it is connected, and doesn't sync or load previous stats. I deleted adidasTEAMFX and downloaded again but lost my data from that day, even though it loaded the previous weeks worth of data. Please fix it as it turns the tag basically an annoyance to use.

Very accurate but adidasTEAMFX wont let me compare any stats other than kick speed against the community. There is no way to change off of kick speed to view other stats of the pro players or the community.

I have been using it a lot recently and then out of no where it stoped syncing it said your phone has no internet connection even tho i had internet. i hope this gets fixed because i love checking my stats it’s a cool idea and well designed and comfortable. Please fix the syncing issue!

Last night the email verification issue was resolved. Thank you for fixing that.

The new issue is that my data is not syncing. I synced once today, but after 5 my data was not syncing because it said that my phone isn’t connected to the internet. My phone is connected. Please fix this issue.

Great app and good stats

Please add a setting to be able to change the measurements from km/h to mph
Also this would be a great Apple Watch app if you could make it one
Finally change it so you can turn off fifa connections I don’t play the game and do not want to have to click “later” every time I open adidasTEAMFX

If the sync issue was not a problem than this would get 5 stars.

It’s a great app, I’ve been progressing slowly and my only concern is that there isn’t setting which I can change from kilometers per hour to miles per hour

When do the thing to tell which foot you shoot with, it says that there is a failure to update.

I love using these at soccer practice or when testing my skills. I really works. The only thing I would suggest is that they should add an option for mile not just kilometers.

So today I tried to sync my data to FIFA but it said it wasn’t connected to internet but it was, so I deleted it and did it again and it worked, but pls fix this.

I use these for every match and practice. Stats are accurate. Syncs to fifa well. The only negative is that you can only see your stats in kph not mph but all around accurate and you can’t even feel the chip.

I’ve tried connecting my tag and it will pie but once I get to the final step of setting up my dominant foot which is my right it says update error. Can figure this out. Can someone help me?
