Final Boss Reveal

I loved this game when it first released. The simple interface and feature discovery really set MinimalDungeon apart from other incremental type games. It’s a different way to tap yourself through an RPG. Very fresh ideas! Then the ultimate game boss was revealed!
A Weekly subscription FEE from the developer. WEEKLY?!!
Come on Devs, that’s just greedy. There’s a global pandemic happening and many people looking for a stress reliever are given one more thing they can’t do.
One solution would be to offer expansion keys for purchase to open new areas of the game with a different and new content. I understand your coders and artists need an income but cost vs. content from games is getting out of control.
Be an industry leader and place appropriate pricing for the software you release. Regardless, you will still make a fortune.
I had to drop my 5 star rating to 2 stars. this app is still a great game concept, unfortunately it’s perpetuating this ridiculous industry pricing that phone gamers have been facing for too many years.
Good luck.

It’s OK

The game mechanics are stupid simple; tap buttons until you’ve cleared the ‘room’. Not much of a challenge, but still an ok time-waster.

There are only 40 levels, with new levels promised “soon” for over a year now. You cannot go back to previous towns to finish out. As a result, you wind up with useless items you can’t get rid of such as shards, treasure pieces, keys for specific rooms, etc.

The ‘dreamstones’ allow you to go back to some of the dungeons, but only some. They are also level limited.

Recovery only works occasionally and rarely during the dreamscapes.

Most of the ‘rooms’ have ads in them. While they are optional, and you do get a ‘reward’ plus a nice 30 second break to do something else, there are far too many. Also, there is little or no reason to spend nearly $6.00 a month to get rid of them. Their monetization scheme is not very well thought out.

Ultimately the game is a meh. Try it if you wish, just don’t expect much.

Update soon?

I’ve reached the end of the availible content. This game is kind of the sort that doesn’t incentivize play if the character can’t level up and progress the story. I noticed the dreams are like repeats of previous levels, and only instance offers anything new. I’m more interested in progressing, so open up more character levels? Some sort of mini games which can fill in time while waiting for other content? Maybe a point where you choose different options to get different outcomes? I like the idea of possible side quests with their own bosses and items.

Pretty fun but...

I had a good time playing the game.
I like how the game has minimal visuals, leaving you to imagine the scenery and characters as you explore. The explore mechanic was helpful, especially since while you cannot get more experience after you reach 100% for the explore spot, you could still get a little money from clicking the completed spot.

The grammar is kinda weird, but I don’t mind it too much. Although some non-English text does appear, it looks to just be for one or two things. I don’t expect perfect English.

Unfortunately I’m unable to progress with the story, not because of my level or stats being too low, but because of a glitch I found.

It happened about two times, the first not stopping me. You move from room to room via buttons on the sides of the room, which normally is always able to be pressed unless an enemy is alive in the room, then you just defeat them so you can be able to press the button.

Sometimes the button stays inaccessible even after the enemies were dead. The first only blocked off one button, the rest I could press, and I was able to finish the level.

I started a new chapter in the story, the first room had enemies to defeat before I could move on. The glitch happened, this time effecting all four buttons. I couldn’t move to another room from the starter room.

I still find the game enjoyable and if not for the glitch, I’d recommend this game.

Compelled to write a review

Man, I don’t leave many reviews at all, but I had to leave one for this game...because for some reason I’ve been playing this ALL NIGHT after downloading it. I love love love the concept here, I love the pace of progression, there’s a lot right about the gameplay and it’s not garbage loaded with ads. It’s a breath of fresh air for MinimalDungeonRPG Store. There are glaring problems though, but they don’t make the game unplayable. The English is pretty bad, and makes the story mostly incomprehensible. I don’t hold that against the quality of the game, but it’s such an obvious problem that it must be mentioned. This feels like an early access game due to missing pieces and lack of polish. It also could do with a much more robust tutorial, although it’s fairly recognizable for fans of the genre. Regardless, I really have had fun playing this simple game, and I hope it just gets better and better. Well done, developers.

Great game so far

Really enjoy this game but do have a few minor suggestions:

1) More levels obviously.... I’m maxed out :(
2) A little less ads or, more preferable, IAP for removing ads.
3) Glitch where if you tap to quick after dying causes some animation issues that you have to keep tapping to force it to advance on through the animation / return control to the player.
4) Not sure if it is intended but some animations continue when you switch screens (like start fishing but go on to the next room before it completes). Can cause an issue where an object permanently becomes unable to 100% complete (like digging).
5) English translations - some of the story I’m really not certain what is going on.
6) Some sort of bag auto-cleanup if the gear is below your level by some customizable setting. Maybe an override for not just level of the equip but grade of equip too? This doesn’t sound like a big deal but if you are farming instances over and over while being too strong for the area... cleaning the bag takes longer than clearing the rooms.

Overall, love it and keep up the good work

Very interesting game

I have been wanting a dungeon crawl game with this kinda layout. The only thing missing for me would be the ability to maybe build your own character like a real d&d game and with random consequences to the story. With the ability to have different outcomes and scenarios. But other wise the game is definitely fun.

For some reason part of me was think it would be fun if the game had more to over then anyone would realize. Like even the ability to build your own little civilization in the camp.

Dont know if you watch anime. But the time i got reincarnated as a slime to me has an interesting story effect in it. And i think it would be cool if someone implemented that into a game similar to this where the visuals dont need to be extravagant. But people in this magical world and forge there own paths where even the main protagonist some how becomes the leader of a goblin village and then it becomes a sprawling city. And before then he end up in a cave where he basically kill and swallows everything in his past which when he finally makes it out of the cave he super strong.

I found my self in the beginning stages feeling exactly like that protagonist in the cave collecting and killing everything in my path.

So long story short great game be cool if it could become more but that may be another app for another day.

Wish i knew how to build games so instead i just tell others in the hopes someone will build it to feed my selfish needs

Please keep it up

I have to say this game is a gem and one of the best on the store for it’s simplicity and originality. I’m always sad when a game I like (like this one) stops getting worked on by the devs so with that said do what it takes devs to keep this game going please. If you need to put some more ads for profit like 2x profits for 30 minutes or some other non forced ads I would watch them to support you or some permanent upgrade for a few bucks, I would gladly pay that for this great game. I know you don’t have many ratings at the moment but this game WILL gain traction if you hang in there and ad more great things to the concept of this game. There are so many directions you can go with like having a map or world to travel in with the style you already have. Many options you could do with item merging or smelting/spell crafting. I’m excited to see where this goes from creative devs like you.

Great game

I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I really like this game. I played through the story mode, and I’ve been doing Adventure mode and Dreamland mode. I like the way they do ads as well. The only problem I have is that I can’t get stones any more. In one of the Dreamland stages, you’re able to trade 20 wood and 20 stone for some stuff, but once I ran out of stones, I wasn’t able to do the trade anymore. I don’t know if this feature was intentional or not, but I’m not a fan of it. Aside from that, this is a wonderful game

Perfect Game

ok, so far. No annoying ads i have to pay to get rid of, An interesting story, the game always gives you what you need and doesn't make you wait for cooldown timers like "come back later now that you played for 2 minutes for another two minutes of gameplay in 12 hours!" i always hated that :/ I love the simple tap mechanics for my autism. I can focus on this and I genuinely enjoy this more then (almost) every other game on my phone. ^u^ I can't wait to see the game progress.

Pls don’t stop!!

I absolutely love this game, and going through the stages. It’s really nice that the game leaves a lot to the imagination. There’s definitely improvements that could be made but I love the game for how it is now. I hope you guys continue to develop/maybe add procedurally generated levels so the stress of having to update every so often is lessened. I’d be sad to see the game “die” without any replay able content added. You guys have my full support! Stay safe & well, love the game :)

Minimal Content RPG

All jokes aside, this is a pretty fun game and there are some tricks to help you through some tougher levels (I’ll let you find those out on your own). I have had pretty much max gear for a while now and am waiting for new content to come out. The game has no challenges at the top and imo it should just infinitely scale or something (that including lvls of items). This game only takes one sitting to beat and needs to have either unlimited shard levels or more adventure or a whole new raid/dungeon.

Can’t Get Enough

Great game! Absolutely love it! Can’t wait to see future updates. It’s nice to finally play a mobile game where I don’t feel forced to spend money. If a cash shop is implemented, I hope players use it by choice not need. Game feels pretty balanced. Didn’t feel like I had to grind the dreamland and instance to push through the story. Quests in the story are very well done, simple and easy. Even though I’ve beat all the story stages, I’m still farming instances and dreamland for keys, gold and gems. Have to get ready for the next adventure!

Pretty straightforward and fun game

Game as the title says is pretty straightforward and fun I see no issues through playing and have enjoyed this game a lot, it is clear the devs had put tlc into this game as no overbearing ads every five seconds and the battery doesn’t heat up even after hours of play, the levels are fun and require strategy only real gripe is I have no clue what rcv is but I don’t have any doubts that the game will explain at some point, I will update this review with any bugs I find but overall good game.

A hidden gem on the App Store

First let me start off by saying I HATE mobile games. Mobile games are generic games where you can download 5 different games that play exactly the same. They also throw all the in-app purchases in your face and or make you watch tons of ads.

Not this game, this game is unique, I’ve never seen a game be so simple yet so addicting. Optional in-app purchases that allow you to get further quicker but that’s it. You DON’T need to buy anything you gain the gems naturally by playing the game. All I ask for is more of this game it’s addicting.

Fun game!

I have played this game for about a week, and enjoyed the whole thing! The minimalism may put some people off, but I pictured it like a pen and paper rpg. The story, albeit a little off, is there, you provide the imagination and chance provides the battles. Great time killer! I have currently beat all the main campaign and played a lot of the random dungeons. As it stands now, max level is 150, even though I have a full inventory of LV 155 gear. The last level in the story campaign is 25. I hope more content is released soon! The last update was about a week ago, so I am hoping the next one is soon! If you like RPGs, it’s definitely worth a shot! Totally free and ad supported.

Classes and advance classes

Ok I’m be 100% honest I just played the game for like 10-15 min already amazing it’s simple and not too much text to bore you out of your mind, but I think having a bit more stuff like classes at a certain dungeon or something like when you get to an enemy that you can’t beat so you use the explore to get gold and use it to buy stuff at the store instead of fruits and such, you know a bit more Grindy and or achievements you can get for a goal. I really liked the design of the game I really hope I don’t embarrass myself and there is something like this just I haven’t gotten there

Max level 150?

Love the game. Always a big fan of rpgs. I will say once you understand how the gameplay works the strategy is pretty much the same as to how you beat each stage. Basically hoping for good RNG. I noticed if you get the 20%+ Def buff it’s GG to all the Mobs in that Dungeon. Clearing all the trees, rocks, fog etc is great on certain stages that allow fast energy recharge. Certain stages are a pain as you have to wait as energy charge especially if you have a decrease Buff on your energy Recharge. Also for anyone reading. RCV stands for recovery. So the rate you hp recovers. I noticed in-game there wasn’t anything to indicate this.

So I’m currently at lvl 150 and my experience bar seems to be stuck. I have an armor piece I purchase for 50 gems that is lvl 155 so I’m a bit confused because I’ve been grinding for a day between dreamlands and instances searching for stat + squares in order to beat my current story mode boss. Thinking that would solve my lvl status. Alas I finally killed the dang monster but no luck getting my lvl past 150. Sooooo yeah

If you read this review I award you a cookie
(^ω^)

Awesome!!

As someone who always needs something to do with my hands and/or my head I normally get bored pretty quickly of idle games. But I have been playing for a little over a couple months and maxed out the story but I keep coming back almost daily! Personally if you have add or adhd like me I would recommend it! On days where you just aren’t feeling the storyline, don’t worry you can play the adventure or dreamlands, but if story is what your looking for, even better! I hope to see more updates to said story but even if there isn’t I’m sure I’ll stick around for a while. Thank you developers for such an awesome game☺️

Can’t wait for More!!

So i was intrigued by this game because i’ve been craving a simplified Dungeon Crawler with a good story. I have become addicted to this game. I look forward to when level 150+ is unlocked so i can get past some of these bad guys. Lol. Also i would love to see more added to it (like either a pay to get more gems or specific dream world stones or even more ads to do the same...seriously, i would watch so many ads to get more stuff).
