I am a fan of games with pixel style so when I figured out about nitrome I was pretty excited. I’ve played nearly all of the games. When I originally got this one I thought it was fun but not anything amazing. I played it for a little while and eventually unlocked a few other characters. This is when I realized how cool this game was. All of the different characters had quite unique abilities. When you get bored instead of just closing Redungeon and doing a different game you can pick another person who will completely change your experience. I like how all of the characters when maxed out are almost about equal in strength. I have spent hours grinding on this game just to upgrade a few characters. I hope that they add some other people to play as soon though because everyone who plays this game will eventually run out of things to upgrade. At first it’s really satisfying, but it gets old pretty quickly. Overall this is easily a five star game and a really great experience.

This game is honestly one of the best games I’ve played. I first downloaded this game a few years ago and beat it (unlocked everything) about 3 months later. The process of unlocking everything was fun as I got to try new characters and their abilities without spending a single dime! I have now reinstalled it onto my new phone and picked it up again. It’s just as fun as I remember! Thanks to the devs at Nitrome for updating the game and adding new elements, new traps and scary new monsters. The pressure is real every time I enter the dungeon and I love it. Everything about this game is adorable and feels so genuine. From and animations being unique for each character to certain interactions for different monsters and characters, the game has had a lot of time and effort poured into it. It’s amazing, you should download it

I stumbled onto this game a few weeks ago, and I’ve already sunk too many hours into it. It’s simple, it’s fun, and it’s challenging. The characters are fun, and I definitely see that some people prefer certain characters over others. One of my favorites is unlocked early on, so at first the later characters felt disappointing. It is really all about how you play the game though.

The one downside is that I’ve occasionally felt like the game was using ads to hold me hostage. I hate microtransactions and paying for ad free. At the same time, that seems the best way for the devs to make money. It seems like the ad problem has cleared up lately. There are still advertisements, but they are easier to bypass and don’t pop up all the time.

I love this game, and I’ve grinded on it for far too long. I’m not asking for a huge update, but some bug fixes that aren’t disastrous to gameplay, but still annoying.

1. After reaching around 10,000m or more, there is one obstacle that is impossible to get past by unless you fly over it, or teleport. It’s hard to explain the obstacle, but it’s meant to be non lethal, and has five jump pads, three of them on moving wood. It’ll bounce you to the left side, then the right (or vice versa), then the middle, and you land safely. Once above around 10,000m, it’ll glitch, and you’ll be stuck jumping back and forth, leaving you to die in the darkness.

2. If you’re fast enough you can move diagonally. I tried it with Vesna, and you can see the plant marks that she leaves behind is vertical. Extremely hard to do though.

3. Probably the most important one, my goddam high score. Currently, I am #6 on the global leaderboard with 22,165m, but that’s not my actual highscore. I have a screenshot of me going up to 33,333m (yes, that was done on purpose), but it won’t show on the leaderboard. Because of this, I’ll probably try to go for 29,999, maybe because there’s a bug where scores over 30,000 won’t show, but that’s a maybe.

I just got this game a couple of days ago and I’m all ready hooked! There is only one complaint about the game, and that is the prices to unlock and upgrade characters. For example the character you start out with his 4th upgrade cost 2000 coins but I guess since there are only five upgrades for each character so it might just be me. But overall it’s a really good game and probably my favorite game on my phone. I like the multiple different characters and the upgrades actually have use. And the game is very hard, I mean it says death is inevitable in the images of the game but I like the challenge. And the dungeon you explore is always different so it adds verity to the game. In my book it’s a 100 out of 10!

Sir Gylbard and Rik have redundant design compared Bragg. Omnidirectional Shooting would improve both of these characters greatly. However it would not fix my gripe of Rik’s massive ineffectiveness in all situations. When compared to the sacrifices Panic bot, Bragg, and Ribb must make to be effective, Rik comes out on the bottom. To improve his chracter I would suggest 4 fireball cost on his fireball and shield along with omnidirectional shooting and a shield like Ribb’s skulls. Another fix I suggest would be to make it so that pistons can’t crush rik and can’t push him off of ledges. Another fix may be to give Rik the same refilling stations Panic bot has. Whatever you chose to do, I assure you Rik must have more consistent value and less passive more FUN gameplay.

Before I mention the one thing I dislike, allow me to tell you that after about a year, this game is still a lot of fun to me! Randomized endless dungeons of increasing difficulty is the kind of thing to make you guess what’s coming next, and most of not all the “modules” are fun to work around (my favorite character is Bragg). My only issue with the game... though it isn’t much of a complaint, I wish they would update the game more often, or just update it more in general, I’ve unlocked everything, and while it is still fun, I don’t really have anything to work towards. (apart from stockpiling gold to my satisfaction 😛) despite my one small issue, this is still a phenomenal game, thanks devs! I look forward to checking out your other games!

I love this game but I wish it had a dragon,the name could be Xceiles, it’s first ability would be able to avoid all ground objects and enemies, his next ability would be a fire breath, his third ability would allow you to call apon another character and make them ride you and gain their powers for a little bit(this would force people to upgrade other characters)the 2nd to last ability would allow you to jump a few blocks ahead. The last ability would save you from a fall for the duration of the ability. You are the best if you read all of this.🤗thank you.

This is an excellent game and feels fun and (relatively) new in a world where most of the apps I see are boring copies with micro transactions thrown in for the money. This game is very enjoyable and easy to pick up with lots to unlock and experience.
The one thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is that there seems to be a bug (maybe a memory leak?) Where every time you restart the frame rate drops a little. Unfortunately this is not a game you can play without perfect frame rate because many of the traps and enemies require perfect timing and feedback. My first run after opening Redungeon is always smooth though, so simply having to restart Redungeon between each run isn’t too bad.
Overall a great game that I thoroughly recommend.

Over the last few months since downloading this game, I have had a lot of fun moments in it, and perhaps the main reason I decided to keep it is because the ads were not too long or often. But now I’m seeing ads that are lasting almost six whole minutes! This is ridiculous because this was the very thing keeping me coming back to the game and is now just as annoying as any other mobile game which doesn’t become of this one. Please fix this

Edit: not too much time has gone by and I have now encountered ads that last as long as fourty one minutes! This is astonishing! And not only that but now every single time I die there is yet another ad. You guys are better than this.

I’m going to write an honest review. I love this game. I do not become addicted to games. I get bored so easily.

I became addicted to this. I’ve unlocked all characters. Quick pros and cons.
Pros: addicting gameplay that makes you think
Why do I do stupid things constantly
Fun variety of heroes

I’m still playing it.

Cons: some heroes aren’t worth the grind. I think the pirate is the best one.
The pirates parrot is the bane of my existence. He never stays more than a millisecond. Not worth it.
The quality of the heroes is off compared to what you grind for.

Bugs: after a while of playing the music stops. And then a little while later the frame rates drop. And they continue dropping to the point of not being able to play so I restart Redungeon .

I love this game. Keep it up. I hope more heroes come soon!

PS Medusa should get gold for breaking the stoned enemies. Makes sense since she is after the pirate who makes a ton of gold

The music is great. The SFX is impressive. The art and level design is beautiful. The gameplay is addicting and the rewards are fair and rewarding. Honestly, if you take long commutes or see yourself waiting a lot, get this game. I also paid the $3.99 to take out the ads and it’s worth it, in my opinion. The ads are unrelenting though. Especially if you’re hasty like me in the game and die often. That’s why I had to take out one star. I do understand that the devs need to make money though. If it wasn’t for the annoying ads, I would have put 5 stars.

All in all, play this game. Support these devs. I look forward to seeing more from them.

It hurts me to give it one star but that’s the only way they’ll ever notice this. There’s no way to delete your progress. Why would I want to do that? Well because I’ve beaten it black and blue and I want to start over so I can do it again. The game is good enough for me to want to do it all over again.

Unfortunately no matter what I try I’m stuck with the progress. Deleting and downloading it back? Doesn’t work. Turning off the cloud symbol in options? Doesn’t do anything. Try to delete Redungeon data in my settings? Nope! It’d be great if they could add a reset button so I can actually start over without having to go to some great unfathomable measures to do it. It’s really depressing that I can’t start over and am stuck with all this annoying progress

Randomly placed puzzle rooms a good test of growing skill.

Can't preview unlockable character abilities before spending coins, but the surprise is generally interesting and noticeably affects gameplay. Better than the mundane bonus stats other games give.

Most ads are skippable in 5 seconds, which is better than games that force you to rewatch the same long ads. You can watch 30 second ads to earn coins faster than from playing the game, which is dissatisfying.

This game is really fun with nice gameplay that rewards paying attention and quick reactions.
However, this is one of those games where it has this horrid trend nowadays where it constantly shoves ads in you face and makes you PAY if you want them gone.
Plus, this game runs on a gold system. And playing the name normally, you have to get to about 300M (which IS pretty far) to actually get goods amount of loot, making it so that I’d just be easier to pay 3.99 to get 50K gold. Which could literally buy AND fully upgrade about 7/12 of the heros.

Just two problems, some of the characters are really weak and just not worth the grind. I could have avoided wasting my time on some characters by looking up what they do, but I was too lazy. There are also really annoying advertisements that are for some reason very hard to get rid of (I'm on iPad), basically it won't let you exit out even if you tap the x button repeatedly. Not only that, they also advertise War of Colony which does extreme false advertising (I'd give it a 3 1/2 stars just because these bad ads but I'll settle it at 4).



Other than that, great game!

It's an alright fun game although it forces ads everywhere. If you thought you could avoid an ad by not clicking the continue button lol get psyched and watch one anyways. Ads are fine as long as they're non intrusive but this one is which is unfortunate cause otherwise it would be a great game. As is it's just another game where you're watching ads 50% of the time and playing the other 50%. It's to try to strongarm you into buying the ad free version but don't give in and give this one a pass, they need to learn that this marketing practice is NOT ok and we deserve better.

Hello people, Redungeon is very fun and I am sure you will enjoy it. I love the character diversity with so many different power-ups, but I have one problem: It takes forever to earn any gold to buy new characters or upgrade ones you already have. At certain points I just end up playing the video for 50 gold over and over again when I would rather be playing the game. You developers need to make normal coins worth ten, green coins worth twenty- so on and so forth. Great app overall but the money system needs to be nerfed.

I really enjoy this game I thought it was gonna be one of those games that I played for a few days and get bored of of but I love that you have to grind I’m for the characters. So far I’ve just got Rik. The one thing that wish you could do choose where the arrow keys go. Because I find myself accidentally hitting the up arrow instead of the right arrow and that ends most my runs. Maybe that could be done. But all together it’s a great game that I’m having fun with right now.

The concept is fun and mindless. I played it for a bit, but on runs where I died really quickly I would restart, so that I’d just get the money and go again. My problem is that if you choose to revive in the same spot you were in you have to watch an ad. While that’s understandable, I mean, free devs have to make money somehow. I was severely disappointed that when I chose to just restart from the beginning every other reset was followed by a forced ad.

That is a major disappointment, I don’t want to see an ad unless I choose to see it. I’m pretty sure most mobile consumers can agree. Pop-ups are annoying regardless of what medium.
