From the for minute I started the game, to this very second, I’ve had such an incredible experience. The art style is very attention grabbing, for new players, and sets itself apart from many of the newer rpg games that have similarities to this game. The game does a good job at making so many interesting tiny Easter eggs (if you classify them as such) and details that give this quirky vibe to the game. Starting the game, there were really cool characters that were out of reach, and it was almost implied that, you could get and have fun with if you put the time into. This game does a good job to give “power” to the consumer, basically not having to pay for everything. Of course, you pay to speed up progress you will get on your own time but, it doesn’t feel like a pay wall (which many other games have) which is really nice! There’s plenty of bugs, but I think that it helps with the vibe of quirky that the game presents itself as (and devs are generous with the rewards). Basically, Dungeon Boss gives a lot while not asking much, and every time I come back, there’s something new. There’s many characters to choose from, and with their investment in creating “factional benefits” you can create cool synergies. Side note: very glad they removed star requirement for ascension (though I understood why it was placed in the first place). Just, very cool game that has gone a long way.

Like others I have played this of and on for years to the point that I’ve deleted the game because I briefly needed a break and thought wrongly that it had nothing else to offer and I always come back snd starting over which has meant paying for things more then once. This may sound (and is) ridiculous on several levels. This is the one and only game I’ve ever (or ever will) done this. If you don’t have tons of money for games this game is for you. It offers real bonuses for completing tasks as an individual or group. The group aspect isn’t unique to this game as most gamers know but no other game fosters the group dynamic like this game. The events offer great rewards and the events are not once every so often but all the time, in fact events often overlap. So many games want the following this game has but to my knowledge no game has a better developer player relationship than this. I’ve never had a problem with in game issues not once and that dedication to the players is unmatched. This game is worth the time whatever amount of time you want to put in you will enjoy this. And to the developers and the support staff the 4th anniversary event and the rewards are above and beyond whatever anyone could expect proving how much you value players. Thanks! Sorry I didn’t review this game sooner!

The game is phenomenally fun, with cool characters, abilities, and synergies for days. Revolving events make it worth your while to stick around.

However, the game, especially with the addition of new characters, lacks some polish. You can filter your heroes, but you can’t save teams/rune loadouts. Doesn’t sound like a big deal until you want to mess around with different characters quickly, then your run is longer in just setting up your team than the actual fight. Also, the events aren’t balanced well. Some events are purely there to get you to spend money, others allow you to excel and actually earn rewards, but then some you don’t have any hope of even participating in. You can easily go from early game to mid game, and the grind to late game is actually well done imo. A lot of players feel like the devs don’t respond well to feedback, but many of them have played for years so it doesn’t seem to matter.

In the end, it’s fun, but you’ll notice the cracks fairly quickly. Spending money is not rewarded much at all, ironically, so don’t bother. Even if it seems like a good deal, you’ll eventually get up to an appreciable participation level where spending money makes next to 0 dent in your gameplay.

Several months ago I uploaded game played it and had terrible time, tutorial was simplistic and bare, I deleted the game after 1 week. Then an associate said it had gotten better, so I reinstalled the application just to see if it really had gotten better. First off the graphics and gameplay are quite improved from last time, not as much lagging in game. Went through same things and tutorials was slightly better as now it explains runes a bit better, then came the PVP Raid. Now my avatars were at lvl 12 maxed abilities and almost all were ascended to second tier. The opponent had 3 regular lvl 8, and a 3 tier lvl 10. My team should have won easily but no, 4 hits and each of my avatars were down. That is one punch for each by regardless of tier lvl lesser lvl avatars. Why waste time or money on game where lvl of avatars don’t matter nor obviously runes when lower lvl can wipe out lvls much higher with ease. That was why I refuse to play and shall delete game once more, I don’t mind that people pay to play but let’s make it real, lvl 8 is just lvl 8 not a 12 and unless ascended to max shouldn’t beat lvl 12, hurt them yes, but not a one hit and the 12 is on ground by lvl 8. Great graphics, smoother gameplay but horrible system in regards to lvl and ascension. If it’s improve which I highly doubt the makers care, I shall try again until then my blog shall let people know this is another systematic probability gone horribly wrong. Good day and another deleted game.

I started playing this a year or two ago, got bored, and had to delete it to save space on my device. I re downloaded it, and actually became good because I knew what I was doing this time. Now, all of these people complain about characters being too strong, and then everybody else is mad about them being nerfed and less useful. Sure, you spent a few weeks getting the evos to ascend this amazing hero. Sure, they nerfed it a week later. But what would happen if every single person had the exact same team of the same heroes as everybody else? Characters are made weaker for a reason, to balance gameplay, not to make you frustrated. Anyway, I love how you almost never run out of raids or dungeons to run, and can always have some sort of goal. The events keep gameplay new and surprising. New heroes get released at a good rate, and getting gems isn’t too hard or too easy. The few things I’d like to see is maybe a trading system between you and your friends, in case you just need that one last Arcane Evo to ascend Solaris, and also a way to break down evos, like the opposite of combining. You would be able to break a Monarch into ten sprites, and celestial into the evos they are made of. Great game :)

This game is amazing the events really help new players and as an experienced player myself I have to say it requires a lot more strategy then meets the eye HOWEVER THIS GAME HAS 1 GIANT ISSUE evolution…while for some heroes like nitpick, Rogar stonecrucher etc. the ascension require some persistence but aren’t impossible however I recall vividly when I wanted to step my ascensions up for the first time and I tried IGOROK but he required to celestial evos the subterranean eco which sounds pretty tame in retrospect but I used nearly 1,000 stamina on beyond the wall and I didn’t get a single celestial evo leaving me to not even be able to play the game for the rest of the day because I had no stamina left and for some heroes such as Lord Zomm (2nd ascension) Kobal (2nd ascension) IGOROK (both) etc. if you could make not saying nerf all ascensions but just one or two that are nearly impossible the community would really appreciate it.

I’ll keep this clear and concise:

This game is fun, however, the waiting and rewards are insanely bad. 25 minute wait to play one round is garbage. Specially with such a cap cap becomes worthless. I could understand to make the feature for money, but, make the charge every minute and the ability to buy for 4.99 max 9.99 unlimited plays. Instead you pay which I did for 100 a day which isn’t enough. Actually makes the game boring. The rewards for pay to win are not valuable enough to want to pay money for either. The amount of evos and crafting required is not only ridiculous but boring. The adventures are the same where not enough rewards for the time requirement. The game realistically needs no cap on playing. Allow someone to play all day. To combat this have ads and then charge money for no ads even 4.99 max. Make evos a higher drop rate scaing based on dungeon difficulty and level. This goes for gold as well. consolidate the crafting system, where you don’t need 5 different stages and allow for less of the celestial as needed to craft. You can change the shop around to sell evos and more runes. You’d make more money on that way then selling diamonds to buy energy. I’d be willing to put in money that way.

So this game was a good game! It was trust me but until one update so I was playing this game until an update came and ruined it It gave me all of the characters? I was like wait FORREAL! And I soon realized that diamonds were hard to get and those helped alot on getting characters but it was like now the rarest thing now. BUT! It ruined the game people left the game people didn’t talk and especially even said in the chat that they left. challenges were easy but we didn’t even get alot of gems and trust me this meaning meant that I had to leave the game if they did change it (The update duh)then I would’ve played this game again but Nooooo! They kept it like that I was super sad that the update they’ve done was bad and the population was not well with the game the game was way worse then bad it was garbage🤮 I hope the creators of this game learn of what they did to a masterpiece and they changed it to a good game to a garbage game I wish they’d never changed dungeon boss it was perfect and I’ll always remember the good times before the update see ya and I hope they soon realize this that this game was a good game

Gameplay is actually quite fun, however the pay to win is so awful you would think this games developers are about to go out of business. Last update removed nearly every way to get gems without paying large amounts ( the amount you could get before was kinda sad anyway). If the game didn’t require gems for just about everything it wouldn’t be that big of a deal really. VIP rewards were completely nerfed with the portal update, removing one vip reward and making another basically useless. All the games shops also received a huge nerf so as to focus the player on paying more money in the games cash shop. Some of the game modes available almost seem pointless now.

Used to love this game, have played for a long time, and even spent money on it. Sad that I wasted money on this game, as every dollar spent requires another 10 it seems here. I still believe with a “good” couple of updates they might be able to fix this game and make it awesome, but I highly doubt it will happen.

As a summary, stay away unless you feel like blowing large amounts of cash. Game is fun after a certain amount spent.

Recently I’ve bought the jingle pass for 20$. It was advertised that after I opened all of the winterfest doors, I would get the krampus skin for the new hero I also paid for. Come to find out, I open all the doors and bam, no skin. I then go to my guild mates and asked why I didn’t have the skin. Come to find out, you have to open all of the winterfest and jingle pass doors TWICE and you have to pay a GOLD key to open the secret door that holds the skin. In the description of the jingle pass, it said I would have to just open all of the winterfest and jingle pass doors and I would be awarded my skin. It said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about having to open ALL of the doors TWICE then have to pay a GOLD key to open another door to get the skin. Mind you that a gold key is worth about another 10$. After opening the doors, who in their right mind will have an extra gold key left over, especially if they weren’t notified that they would need it to get the skin. This was blatant false advertisement and a complete ripoff, I either was my money back or my skin because I feel like I’ve been robbed.

The game over all is fun for people who like to grind out and loot. The PvP team vs team raid is also something you can do to grind out for end of season rewards. The campaign is fun and is perfect for those people wanting to solo play. Over all I really love this game it fits my personal preference for games.

Although there are some bugs that need work on. I recently found one where if you are in a online match, if Miko, The marvellous clones someone. For example if he clones Emperor Zullkod, if the original Zullkod on my team banishes the clone it bugs out the game and the next teammate to attack on your team can’t attack because you are stuck on the banished screen and no one is there to attack. Which means the only solution is to retreat and lose your trophies. Developers please look into this as for the Grand Tourney is live.

I’ve spent 3 1/2 years playing this game, and have willingly spent quite a bit of money on it, too. It WAS a fun, engaging strategy game with a good bit of wry humor sprinkled in. Not. Any. More. The game was sold to new developers who are excessively greedy. Now, everything is money based. It would truly be laughable at what they want you to buy if it weren’t the sad truth. What once was a fun, relatively ‘free’ game to play has now turned into a ‘nickel and dime’ you ploy at every turn. The recent upgrade plummeted character powers, took away half of the portals, changed shops and made the challenge basically undoable UNLESS YOU FORK OVER YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY!!! Everyone is extremely upset by all of these changes. Players are quitting the game altogether in droves. Our concerns, my friends, fall on deaf ears. If you want to spend $60-$100 a week to have half-a-chance at building your to team to have any ability to grow in strength/power, then, by all means, sign up and make sure to connect your payPal account!! It’s too bad that such a unique, fun game has turned into a money-grubbing ploy....vultures feasting on the carcasses of loyal players.

The game is a great time killer if you are looking for something to do that doesn’t take much time. However it is also full of things if you want to sit down and take some time playing a game, there is much to do. The daily and event quest keeps the game lively and the grind alive even if it seems to come to a halt. Collecting the characters and finding all the fun abilities is a blast.
The only complaint is once you hit a certain point, collecting those final pieces to characters seems to take days unless you pay real money. Which don’t get me wrong, all about supporting the devs, but If you don’t feel like dumping money into the game, it’s going to take you a while.
Despite the slow mid/later grind, the game is amazing fun with so much to do, even without getting those specific pieces.
I would highly recommend if you are a fan of TCGs turn based combat.

This game is by far one of my favorite games to play on mobile! Whenever I open my phone, Dungeon Boss is one of the first things I open. Have I raided these dungeons yet? Have I collected my daily reward? Have I opened the great portal? Have I upgraded my heroes? There’s just so much to do! With barely any ads that are optional! It’s incredible! The ONLY thing keeping this from being five stars is a lot of the time I’ll be buying stuff when it tells me “Out of Sync” and I lose my stuff and the gems I spent! Like this just happened with my Jerry tokens... I had spent a bunch of gems on Healer Jerry Tokens when it told me “Out of Sync”, so I reloaded and had lost the gems I spent but didn’t have the Jerry tokens! I also lost the quest reward for having 2 6star heroes... but yeah! Other than that kind of really annoying kink I love this game!

Let me start with the beginning, the tutorial is quite simple but as your continue on with the game, it becomes for interactive with hidden treasures during every level. Now once done with with your missions or levels you can learn what characters should be used together and find your ultimate dungeon team as you continue during your quest to money and gems. Now once you’ve found your team you can upgrade them and evolve them to become more sovereign and powerful. Now that your team has become the best team anyone could ask for, you dominate each player in pvp mode and take there loot. And if that wasn’t good enough you can start your very own guild and group up with your friends and family to become one of the very best. This concludes my review. Have fun playing this game and becoming the ultimate Dungeon Boss.

Originally loved this game. I had no confusion about the grinding and at first the progression was balanced. Once I got to about level 35, the balance shifted significantly. The normal grinding I had done up to that point was useless. Almost every battle the enemy team was way over powered with exp level, skill set and runes. It was clear that if you want to make any progress faster than a crawl, your going to have to bow down to the micro-transaction gods. Even still I grinder away without paying and it was even more of a slog to get to level 40 and 50. I’ve finally had enough and am deleting the game after this. It’s not just about winning battles that slows to a couple day crawl. Remotely depending on the dungeons or ‘quick wins’ to actually generate the the material needed to ascend is an exercise in futility.

It would be one thing if it acted like a micro-transaction wh*** from he beginning but it’s another to act like you have balanced play for about 30 levels.

I’ll be honest, I spend hours each day playing it, and am high level. It’s probably one of the nicest games of this type developed. It’s fun

But, if you get high enough level, spend enough time, it becomes apparent the heart of this game is gone. It’s the embers of a cash cow, sold to a cut rate business.

The hard core player community is resigned to this, and work around the unfixed bugs, the unbalanced play ( due to new hero’s being added to try to get more dollars out of people) and the outrageous cash grabs. The events are repeated over and over again. It’s a game frozen in time, with an icing of greed and low budget maintenance . But, it’s really hard for new players to see the rot and mismanagement. The game is so awesome that one will have to spend a lot of hours , maybe hundreds, before things become clear about all of this.

And that is the reason of my review: the game is a nice place to visit, but not to live in.

The original people who developed this game are long gone, I think. I heard they used to care about the players.

There are other games out there that has a vibrant and functional player community. I feel like people who want to play this game, and are going to spend a lot of time on it, should know this.

Only game that’s stayed in my phone for years. It’s a fun game with multiple daily things going on. Really deep, can’t even imagine the learning curve for new folks but it’s fun and worth it. Lots of opportunities to spend way too much money but since pvp is only a small portion of the game “pay to win” isn’t too much of a factor. It’s more like “pay if you’re impatient” because everything you can buy you can also eventually earn just by playing the game. They have constant events and updates and listen to their community about concerns when major changes are implemented and many times they put in a “middle ground” patch to kind of meet in the middle between original update and community feedback. If nothing else you really have to respect that.

Everything about this game is completely pointless. Don’t matter type of five star hero you have, level you’re in , Rune you have equipped and most especially if you’ve achieved epic status however, it really should be called “ what epic? Where’s the epic? The unknown epic of all epics. ALL completely pointless and useless. This games only mission is to get you all fired up for the sole purpose of hoping you are retarded enough and you know who you are, into wasting you’re money on in-app items available for purchase but seriously, bad enough all the wasted time. E for effort and killing time when I’m bored epic. NEVER and I mean EVER take so called games on the mobile platform seriously enough to waste your money they will never achieve true console style game play so don’t be fooled by the pretty graphics.

I got this game when it first came out and was a dedicated player for about three years sinking a few dollars and a lot of time! I just got back into it again and I lost some of my progress and my best heroes. Got talking to customer support and within two days of emailing to confirm it’s me, and my actual purchases I got all that I lost back and or compensated enough to where I feel like it’s all my stuff again! So great customer support and all around great game in terms of strategy, progression, gameplay, and graphics. None others like it other than a supercell game. And it doesn’t make you feel desperate for gems, it gives you enough to where it feels like you gotta keep grinding for what you want but that you can play to get somewhere! Keep it up!

I’ve played this game for three years and I’m just now starting this review to save the new players from my fate I’ve been playing for a long time it’s a really good game but this thing started to happen I was loading game like usually and this thing happened it said error please try again later and i said ok 1 day later I load DungeonBoss and it said the same thing again and I got tired of it so searched web nothing so I deleted it and reinstalled and it still said same thing but later on it worked but everything was gone everything my progress my op avator everything all my max assended characters and and I wasted all my money I wasted 50 dollars at least worth money and that’s it so hope the creators can stop this so no one gets the same fate that I did so that’s it I’m still giving game 5 star ratting hope they fix it bye
