4.5 out of 5
Scam!!

I tried to find out about the program from their website but it makes you enter all of your stats first (height, weight, etc). Then you have to provide your email. I entered mine and it said an account already existed (it shouldn’t have…) I had to use “forgot password” to login and figure this all out.

Then I downloaded Reset since the website is a dead-end. There’s no way to check your account. I have access to everything in Reset but shouldn’t bc I never signed up!

If you try to cancel, you have to contact a coach, so that’s what I did. I’m trying to figure out how and why I have a subscription that I didn’t authorize.

The “coach” said I signed up via Reset , which isn’t true. She said I had to cancel via my apple subscription page.

Reset does NOT show up on my apple subscription page so I can’t cancel there!! I checked Apple’s help & it says that if you don’t see a subscription, search your email for receipts, so that’s what I did next. Guess what? No receipt!

I have access to this crappy app that I don’t want and didn’t authorize and no way to verify that I won’t be charged.

Horrible

The advertised services-meal planner/ recommendations and calorie tracker-were redundant and seemed to lack anything new. Their “plan” is simply eating 800 calories 2-3 days per week and then eating mind filling the other 5-4 per week. It’s easy enough to follow in one of the free calorie tracker apps out there. Especially since they don’t offer much else.

I’ve attempted to request a refund, but Be warned: I used for less than a week but they charged for 12 weeks up front. It’s impossible to get ahold of anyone to cancel or see how I can get a refund even though they advertise a chat feature. No email addresses or even a phone number out there to follow up with customer service. Honestly there are so many red flags with Reset and it feels like a scam and absolutely not worth the price.i wonder how much they paid for the empty meaningless 5 star reviews

Not what I expected

I love the concept of this however, not at all what I expected. I would like to have the capability to edit certain items within a recipe that may affect the calorie content. For instance, if I made an omelette but left out the cheese, or I didn’t include that slice of bacon, it would alter my calorie and protein content which is all it tracks on the this app days.

I don’t like that I can’t input my own recipe or food intake on the this app days, every meal has to be one from within Reset .

BUT MOST OF ALL…..I do jot like that there is no way to cancel the membership directly! What looks like a “chat” feature actually got me nowhere except to type in my message and get a reply that it will be answered in my email. I haven’t gotten ANY emails, not even when first signing up. Something just feels shady about Reset. I feel like it’s pretty pricey also for no more than what it is.

No different than others

It’s no different than other weight loss apps. Possibly the biggest difference and my 2 stars is that you don’t know what the program is all about until you pay them $72 for the first installment. Then you get to review what they promote. Worst still is there is no customer service or even email to reach out to them. It’s all through coaches. At the moment I’ve been waiting for a response from my coach to find out how to cancel and get a refund for subscription just made today. Certain I’ll have to contact my credit card and dispute. BUT BEWARE. It’s no different than other systems with little support or actual education. At least with NOOM, you learn from the get-go. Here they just give you meals and options to swap them out without any context to why OR WHAT YOU DO THE OTHER 4 days not on the 3 day diet portion. Stay away

Not worth it

I used the this app app for about a month and did not lose any weight. The recipes are not very good and the instructions are usually wrong or leave out ingredients or steps. There are hardly any options either and most of the food they recommend are frozen meals. They don’t explain that you can’t really eat “regularly” on your off days. You still need to limit your calories for this to work. Also I was starving on my this app days and it just does not seem like a sustainable way to lose weight for me. I’m going back to the old fashioned method of watching calories daily, exercising and choosing more nutritious foods and you probably should to.

I gave two stars because it was convenient although their recipes, coaching and food options need some work.

Plan works great!

I’ve been using this app with coach John’s support for 9 weeks now and my weight loss is solid at a pound a week. That may not be fast, but it is so doable and sustainable, which works best for me. I love only having to track my food two days per week, letting those two days help train me to eat more mindfully, and having the weight come off. Two this app days is perfect and keeps me on track. I’m making changes and enjoying many non scale victories in eating more healthfully. I’ve rated the program a 4 and not a 5 because I feel like the training support under the “habits” tab could be increased. Most other apps I’ve used give you content daily and I only get updates on that tab once weekly, maybe twice sometimes, so I don’t even check it very often anymore. There’s so much that could be offered there. Tracking is easy except that the barcode scanner is glitchy and doesn’t always work, but most foods are there in the search or I only have to add calories and protein, so it’s easy to add my own favorites quickly. this app works and has been easy for me to implement and John has been supportive and responsive and has answered my questions or provided help in a timely manner when needed. Thanks, this app, for helping me get on a healthier path!

It definitely helps

I am finishing my second week using Reset. It has helped me so far stay on track and more motivated than before, and I am actually losing weight because of this..I do have an observation. For the this app days, some recipes show amountsfor 1, 2, 6 servings etc and that's confusing and frustrating. Why there's no consistency? Who knows. But it would be better if they just stick with the same amount of servings (preferably 1) or let the person select how many servings they want shown. One time I didn't noticed and started preparing my recipe, when someone told me that those amounts looked like too much, then noticed the recipe was for 6 servings. Then had to throw food away and figure out how much I had to eat because now I had a gigantic salad just for myself.

Also, the coach advertised is not really a coach. They just respond to you if you send a question, that's it. My coach has not contacted me once to ask me how I am in regards to my goals or encourage me to stick with the plan. I understand what Reset costs is low so I don't expect a personal coach 24/7 for myself, but it shouldn't be advertised as a coach when that's not it at all.

This WORKs

Update:From July to September I lost 11 pounds and I have a hypothyroid disorder. This works. Noom didn’t work for me.

Pair their recipes and this app day budgets with walking 10,000 steps at the speed walking clip and you will drop weight. I’ve lost 5 pounds in two and a half weeks, which is not always easy to do and maintain. My goal is just another 10 or 15 pounds. I’ve learned some really cool recipes. I found out I actually do like kale. I’m actually not as hungry as I thought I would be. Are used to be in great shape, and had no trouble keeping that way, but after Covid, everything kind of slid downhill & I couldn’t stay on top of any diet. This isn’t a diet. (The secret to kale is to really ring it and massage and massage olive oil and lemon dressing on it with your hands.)

Lost a little more than a pound, and I haven’t even started yet!

I have incorporated a new habit of drinking 8 ounces of water a half hour before meals 3 days ago, and I am watching the scale creep down before my first this app day. That tells me that my mind is thinking about releasing weight by eating healthier and moving more.

I just placed my thoughtful grocery list for the next week and feel confident in the meals I have planned for my 3 this app days this coming week. Being mentally prepared and planning my grocery shopping is great! I can feel the stress and concern of weight gain lessen its grip on me.

Can’t wait to see what the next week brings!!!

Intermittent Fasting Without the Fasting

I am in recovery for Binge Eating Disorder and have been for quite a few years. I have been able to give up binging and maintain my weight, but losing it has been more difficult. While my therapist is not down with restricting, this program allows me to do it only two days a week, and it has the added benefit of keeping my portion sizes in check for the rest of the week. It has done more to help me nudge my weight in a downward direction than just trying to be mindful by giving me a little more guidance, which I needed. And I only have to restrict 2 days a week, so I seem to be able to keep the overwhelming urge to fight the restriction with binging at bay. The weight comes off very slowly with only 2 days, but that is just fine.

Very Workable Program

UPDATE: after about 10 months I’m down 30 pounds and it’s still pretty painless! I tend to eat much like the this app days on non-this app days, so it’s become fairly habitual. Couldn’t be happier.
* * *
I came to this diet with this attitude: I’m not trying for perfection, I won’t beat myself up if I have a bad day, and I won’t let a bad day become a lost week and a reason for quitting.
* * *
I’ve been doing this for about six weeks and I’ve lost 11 pounds. I toggle from 9 to 11 and back, but I’m not letting that defeat me. The diet is sound and the food choices seem great, but honestly I eat the same thing each this app day, and I don’t mind and I don’t have to think too much about it. It works for me. Happy to keep going and probably make this a life habit.

Feeling in control

After Covid struck a year ago I went from on the go and at the gym to stick at home. Workouts were a struggle and my eating couldn’t adjust to my new lifestyle. I gained 15 pounds and was unsuccessful in finding a way to turn it around. I felt awful. Finally after repeatedly telling myself it was too expensive I signed up for this app.
Initially I went with two days a week, but after trying the food and enjoying it I decided to speed up my results. A quick note to my coach John had me going three days a week.
In just over four weeks I’ve lost seven pounds and expect to easily hit my goal before warm weather.
I’ll be 60 this year and was a fitness instructor before Covid so it’s that really hard to lose weight I’m dealing with. You know, those last 10-15 pounds anyone finds themselves stuck with after dieting. And it seems harder to lose weight when you’ve been working out can’t make a lot of healthy lifestyle changes too. (I had a good routine of exercise for a month or more before this app with no change.)
Thanks this app. Knowing I can have it tomorrow if I really want it makes a difference.

Very easy plan

I have been on this plan for 2 months I was looking for a way to lose some weight and couldn’t find anything that I could stick to. I love this plan because I only have to be strict 2 days a week and even though I have had other days where I have splurged i also feel not as hungry on my ‘free days’ and I eat smaller portions.I have lost 5 1/2 pounds it’s been a slow steady weight loss but I didn’t need to lose much.
I’m so happy that I have found a way to control my weight that is so simple and ‘painless’ and easy to stick to because I don’t feel like I’m constantly on a diet.

Looks great!

I am discovering I can be a pickier eater than I ever realized. I have actually been in a weight loss journey for a few years now as I had to have both knees replaced. At 57, I realized this up and down with my weight hadn’t done me much good. So I am not in any blood pressure meds/cholesterol meds either. I’ve been exercising steadily since January but realized my eating habits needed to be changed. I basically know what is lower in calorie, etc., however, I wanted some new ideas that I will stick with and it will do my body some good! This looks great so far……keep you posted!

Feeling encouraged

I started eating healthy 2 1/2 years ago. One day I looked at the scale and I was 159. I said to my self “No way am I going into the 160’s. So I started a healthy eating style of mostly meat and veggies. I cut out sugar, white flour and a bunch of stuff. Eating healthy, I lost about 18 lbs. but suddenly gained a couple of lbs. again and couldn’t get started losing again. And then I found this way of eating, with the restart days. I have just been on this way of eating for less than a week, but have lost a couple of lbs. already and the big thing is that I feel more encouraged and like this is doable for the rest of my life instead of being punished daily. I’ve only had one this app day, but 2 resets a week is definitely possible instead of feeling bad when you occasionally eat something that is not on your plan. This is a life plan without guilt!

I have now had 2 this app days, and am down to 139.8. First time I have been under 140 in 40 years. I feel great!

Optimistic

Well, I’m new at this, but so far I’ve lost 4 lbs… and I’m enjoying the recipes and the good advice. I can see that over time, I can educate myself on better nutritional choices even when it’s not a “this app day”. And I don’t have to feel deprived when my co-worker brings pizza and a box of chocolates ( literally happened yesterday) because I just tell myself “I can have that tomorrow, if I want to”.
Feeling optimistic about being able to stick to this and sustain any weight loss. I will report back when I’ve got more time in. Wish me luck.

Very well organized app

I found this app to be an amazing weight management app. I love the ease of use, it’s multiple really helpful features such as having a coach, an excellent variety of recipes, including vegetarian. I love that it allows you to select from various meal options and gives the total caloric value for the day and the nutritional content.
Plus there can be nothing better than having to only think of eating a certain way for only 2 days a week, and still ensure healthy weight management. Super exciting !

Great app!

Reset is so easy to navigate it has some really great recipes and has really helped to change my mindset about eating. Not that I was ever a bad eater but it makes you realize how much even a little snack can add up to so many unwanted calories. I’ve been doing two this app days a week for the past month and practicing 16 hour intermittent fasting and I’m down 6 lbs in a month and this includes Valentine’s Day chocolate so that’s really good for me. I usually gain 10 lbs this time of the year. Definitely teaches you a new way of life!

Simple Awesome

This was my first time to EVER pay for a diet program. I’m so happy that I did. This WORKS. I have lost 13lbs in 6 weeks. My weight was at a plateau for over 2 years. I never thought that I would ever be able to lose it. Now with this app, I can say I did. The meals are simple yet very delicious. I used to cook with a lot of seasoning, now I find myself doing so with a lot less. I don’t recall how I got on this program, but I’m so happy that I found it. Give it a try, you’ll be happy you did.

Working so far…

I’ve tried every diet, packaged meals, intermittent fasting, diet pills and everything in between, but nothing has worked so far until this app. I’m in my mid 60s, so I just thought this is just the way it is. I took a chance on this app and I’m really glad I did. this app is so easy and I’m sure there’s some psychology built-in, but on my this app days, I’m a little hungry at the end of the day, but it’s not bad knowing that I can eat more the next day. The funny thing is that the next day I don’t feel all that hungry either. All I know, is this app is working for me. I’ve lost 5 pounds in a week and I’m going to keep going.
