TCLHome requests access to your location. I’m just trying to change the volume on my speaker. There is no legitimate reason why it needs my location and it refuses to work without it.
App worked fine in the beginning, for the most part. But then it stopped working at all for my window ac. I noticed it had an update for the firmware so I figured that may be the problem. But I can’t get it to actually update. When I tap on the update, it will just say “updating” for hours. Nothing ever happens. So now TCLHome is useless!
Wish I had purchased a Samsung. Their app works perfectly. I tried to get some TCL service and they were no help. Chat room disconnected me for “inactivity” even though they had asked me to perform a time consuming process. Would give 0 stars if could.
Honestly, I only downloaded it to make setting up my tcl tv a TINY bit easier. It doesn’t even recognize the tv as a device because TCL is so far behind in app support, it’s not even funny. I have a new TCL GoogleTV - also borderline useless. It’s sad that a tech-ish company can’t load support for a new product to an existing app. I’d steer clear of TCL if you can. I wish I had.
In the world of failed apps, this one stands out and deserves an outstanding achievement award for just how bad it functions.
If they had given a 6th grade class a case of red bull and a coding manual written in Sanskrit, they probably could have created a more useful product.

i’ve been trying to connect the wifi for my air conditioner for a while and it just won’t work. also, why can’t they just hire someone to proofread their instructions? the English is TERRIBLE.
TCLHome had difficulty connecting to the TV. It has no option to connect to my brand new TCL sound bar. The TCL Soundbar will not connect to the TCL TV. Nothing but problems!!!!
The services is not good at all I have to keep restarting my phone or delete TCLHome and download it again
Connectivity issues plague the heck out of TCLHome. Sometimes it works, but 99% of the time it doesn’t. I was able to set the timer and get it to work one time, after that it no longer worked. Changing the temp sometimes works… everything is sporadic.

Bought TCL brand dehumidifier so we could control while away. FAT CHANCE!! Can’t even get their REQUIRED registration to work.

Either the developer is blind, doesn't bother to test the application before launch.. the remote is not working. Every time it shows not connected with the same network…
Tried so set up AI Sonic on my Q6510. Keep getting an error that it cannot find my device, turn bluetooth off/on, etc… it doesn’t work even after pairing my phone with the soundbar. Just stay away from this.
I would give this a zero if I can. I downloaded this because I lost my remote for my TCL tv, but TCLHome does not even work for tcl. TCLHome only works for ROKU and that is sad and messed up. This made me so mad, please fix this.
I recently downloaded the TCL Home app with high hopes of conveniently controlling my AC unit. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Despite meticulously following all the provided instructions, I was unable to establish a connection between TCLHome and my AC.
The user interface seemed promising at first, but the connectivity issues overshadowed any potential benefits. After numerous attempts and troubleshooting, I decided to erase TCLHome . It simply wasn’t worth the hassle, and now I understand why it has such a low rating.
I was really looking forward to the convenience TCLHome promised, but it failed to deliver on its core functionality. I hope the developers take these issues seriously and work on improving TCLHome . Until then, I cannot recommend the TCL Home app to anyone looking to control their AC remotely.
TCLHome was not robust to begin. The latest version of TCLHome even worse. I use TCLHome with my TCL dehumidifier. When the dehumidifier is full, TCLHome sends me notifications CONSTANTLY; literally every 3 seconds. It's ruining the entire experience of using my phone and it's draining my battery faster because my screen is constantly on because of the notifications. Fix TCLHome, my God.
Please fix TCLHome ! One day I went on to TCLHome and it was coming up in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. TCLHome no longer worked to my connected window unit. I have lost that remote because I’ve been using TCLHome to operate it for the last year and a half.
Took a chance despite the low star ratings. App crashes, glitches, won’t work with Google home when it should. I buy their $350 ac unit. I go to work the next day and to my surprise, it says it’s offline. Yet everything else is online in my house. I bought this to use TCLHome feature and it won’t work.
I finally got my a/c set up and connected(though the instructions were terrible) and it worked great for a few weeks. All of a sudden it kicked me out of TCLHome , no longer recognizes the a/c device and no matter what I do, it will not connect. Deleting this pointless app.

Tried multiple ways to connect my tv to TCLHome and was not successful. First tried over Wi-Fi, TCLHome could not find the tv. Then tried manually and upon clicking the tv icon, the loader would pop up and then disappear without any additional prompts. Lastly I tried via the QR code and it would scan and immediately close out the scanner and go back to the main account home page. Needless to say, this is not a great user experience and clearly not user error.
I’ve tried connecting to my AC, however it doesn’t even work, I’ve tried turning on and off the bluetooth and all also.
TCLHome is pointless and a complete waste of time. I’ve been trying to connect my air conditioner for the longest and no matter what I try it will not connect and you can’t contact anyone for help either. I am not happy at all and am on the verge of bringing it back to get my money back. Do not get TCL products!!
It allows me to register an email address and set up an account. That is it. It has a bunch of generic stuff devices that aren’t mine. It won’t even connect to my TCL television. I am sitting right in front of it. I can’t even use it as a remote. It does absolutely nothing
I started out pretty well setting up my Sweeva 6000 vacuum, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to designate/create rooms. Looks like some controls are missing. When I try to send feedback via TCLHome , it says “failed to send.”

TCLHome is absolutely useless. Disconnects way too often. I bought 3 air purifiers and I’m about to return all 3 of them if the company can’t build a reliable app. Can’t operate the air purifiers 100% with just the panel. TCLHome is needed. Needs to be fixed.
Does not link up with Google Home, which is the only reason to download TCLHome, as there is already a pure remote control app with a way better UI.
I have a TCL Google TV 5-Series Model S546. I installed TCLHome and attempted to use it but it only has a selection for a TCL ROKU TV. This does not work with my Google TV. When I ask it to search for my TV on my network it cannot find it. So, TCLHome is worthless to me

The thing is is whenever I try to scan my QR code for the TV it won’t work but every time I try to connect it’s still not work TCLHome so TCLHome is called a useless TCL please help I don’t know what to do so fix it it doesn’t work
Please, PLEASE fix the amount of notifications that are sent when the dehumidifier fills up and needs emptying. One is sufficient. The other 99 in the span of 5 minutes are unnecessary and aggravating. Thank you.

I’m trying to add my soundbar but It doesn’t see it. I have the TS813 but the only one that shows up is the TS8211.
The application stopped suddenly i can turn on and off the AC only from google home cuz i link it with TCL Home app please fix the problem
TCLHome works perfectly fine, albeit a tad slow. I will say, it’s 2023 and dark mode has become less of an option, especially with TCLHome being blindingly white.
Would love to see a room temperature functionality for split AC

The application ceased functioning correctly. I use it to remotely control the air conditioner. Today, it began displaying temperatures in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. I couldn't control the device through the application. I tried reinstalling TCLHome and removing and re-adding the device. Interestingly, the device appears connected to Wi-Fi because if I unplug it, TCLHome indicates that the device is disconnected. However, once I plug it back into the wall power, it reconnects to the network.
App works great. Please add a dark mode though. Sometimes I want to turn the ac on from my bed and suddenly heaven itself springs forth from my phone and scorches upon my retinas a clear image of my TLC portable aircon unit. Do fix.
People are dumb, was easy to pair, follow directions if you can’t figure tech things out on your own. I assume most of these reviews are from USA considering how dumb people are getting here.

I don't understand the negative reviews because I received my new air purifier today the Breeva A2 and set up was flawless on the device itself, connecting to Wi-Fi as well as using Alexa to turn it on and off and select which speed setting I would like.
I could also turn the lights off and on either from TCLHome .
Everything worked on the first try and is working perfectly. Great app from my experience!
I love this. It’s so convenient, especially when my kids loose the remote about 50 times every day.
I don't know why all the reviews are negative, I've been using TCLHome for a long time and it works pretty good yes the UI can be better but other than that everything is good 👍🏻
