Free to download yet not free to use. Who is the genius that devised this brilliant idea? First, the shenanigans started with game developers who came up with the idea of selling items required to progress to subsequent levels. In the end, customers were bilked a hundred bucks for a game that should have cost $4.99. Developers failed to consider the impact of lost customers due to this money grab. Now, we have mandatory app rental fees. Take a silly app worth no more than $1.99 and force the customer to pay upwards of $50 a year. As though, PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects and this platform would be used for anything more than child’s play. Once again, some genius came up with the brilliant idea to force customers into a mandatory monthly payment plan so they could gain control over our credit cards. Once again, these genius’ fail to account for lost customers and opportunities. What is the next money grab strategy?

I deleted your app. You see how this works? You got nothing in the end. Sell PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects for $2.99. If you want to make more money, develop more apps that are reasonably priced. The consumer is not stupid and they will see value. Plus, the developer won’t have to worry about uploading positive reviews.

I have no idea of how to use this and when I sent in a help request, as instructed by PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects, I haven’t received any reply. So after a couple days I did it again. Still no reply.!. (I wanted to erase the one star that is filled in but PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects, this screen, would not allow me to.) I really had high hopes for PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects but...? Frustrating and confusing!

This was a really great app right up until it wouldn’t let me save with sound , now it’s so disappointing , if it doesn’t get fixed soon I’m getting rid of, asking for a refund and finding a new app. It’s been almost a year since they said would look into it - nothing has changed - still no sound

Attempt to try on one photo but app wanted to setup “free trial then $2.99”. So since you can’t try it without having to setup/cancel it’s not worth any time. Shame as it appeared it could be fun. I do understand creators need to be reimbursed, but you don’t need to use a subscription to try a “lite” app. Not my thing.

I don’t get why you have to use a premium this one’s terrible I just want to add a perfect affect to my pictures without any premium and this was the best one I could fine and it takes up so much storage for my phone I’m sorry but two stars totally worth it :(

Don’t get me wrong, it’s fun to use, but PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects would be so much more powerful with one simple tool. An eraser. It would be nice to edit out parts of the animations to make them appear behind a subject. The download page for PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects has an animation where it looks like the ability exists, with a girl sitting on a motorcycle and the sky is moving behind her, but I have found no way to make this happen in PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects . After about three hours and no in-app help file or how-to’s - and a lot of frustrating messing around with options, it just doesn’t seem possible. If this option was available I’d definitely be a subscriber and could rate PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects higher. I do love how it auto connects to Unsplash and Pexels. That’s both amazing and thoughtful for the users.

It’s a fun app to add moving objects to your photos. It’s surprisingly fully featured for a free app. But, the exported videos are very low-res (640x640). The only thing I can think of feature wise to add is masking. Making it universal would be a bonus.

Changing certain things like color/tone or vignette turns the whole image brown (iPad Pro 10.5 latest iOS).

Really like the available fx and adding the effects to photos is pretty easy. I was disappointed that I couldn’t figure out how to creat widescreen videos/gifs. I sent and inquiry to see if that was possible but haven’t heard from anyone.

Could use more refined effects. We should be able to position the effects on a specific area. If you can, it’s not obvious. This could definitely improve more, but for now it’s satisfactory.

This is great i like it brcause i can change and add to pictures that is a lot of fun and thr grand kids love it too we doing pictures of the pets tomorrow and park day after tomorrow thanks again

Trying the free trial. Seems pretty simple but you can't save your creation without leaving a review which is mildly annoying

Instant jump in and use. Thought of a fast working efficient app for touching up photos. Only critique is maybe more variety of motion graphics for each category but still amazing! Thanks

The default apps work but can’t download the “free” options. Took PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects off my iPhone & put it back & it still says “error” when I tap the free downloads. I will have to find another app because I actually needed to use the free downloads.

Tried my first one and it worked well but without the ability to place and resize the effect, it will not work very well on most photos.

Great app so far. Most effects look realistic and there are editing options. Now the question is this...will the developer of this FREE app do what typical new apps do? Make it free right out of the gate, then a month or two later add an update with a vague update description with no mention of any major changes, users of PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects download the update only to then find that they’re locked out of PhotoAnimatorAfterEffects because it has changed to a subscription based model. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely don’t mind paying or subscribing, what I don’t like is a bait and switch or feeling like I’ve been conned. Transparency is key. So let’s wait and see what happens here.
