3.5 out of 5
Needs work

App keeps kicking me out of the lessons while I’m reading the course material, tried many times to start again until it got too annoying, had to quit.

App not working iPhone XS Max 13.1.3 build

Update: with the recent app update, it is now loading on my iPhone; however, none of my digital media links are showing up. How do I get my links to media show up here?

PADITraining is NOT loading with the iPhone XS Max with the 13.1.3 build. It’s working with my older iPhone 7 Max with 13.1.3. I’ve deleted and downloaded and restarted the phone several times and it keeps hanging after the login with “Please Wait ...”.

This app is not doing much

I signed up for e learning course and Im doing this at home with a laptop. I wanted portability so I downloaded PADITraining.

I logged in fine but it directs me to computer website and does not recognize me as a signed up user. It directs me to pay again.

Very very horrible app. Im deleting now.

TRASH

PADITraining is the worst I've ever. When it actually opens it doesn’t stay open for long before kicking you out and losing all progress. For such a large organization that only teaches people to dive safely one would hope they invested more in their teaching tools.

Not worth the time

I have uninstalled and reinstalled PADITraining multiple times. I have downloaded the content but still PADITraining rests back to the main screen every 30 seconds. You can’t read or more importantly learn anything from PADITraining.

Glitches.

I was hoping to use PADITraining to study when I don’t have my computer on me but every time I open a course section and start scrolling, it immediately reloads and sends me back to the sign in/home page.
Suuuuper frustrating!! I hope PADI fixes this soon.

Worst app of the 20th century

Complete trust buster. I finished all the learnings for the course (which cost $200 btw) and the final exam for the course is still locked. Why did I pay for this again? I’ll have to pay to re-take the test at the diving center because of this buggy app. Oh and also, if I log on to the desktop app, it says I’ve only finished half the training...

Will not load past first lesson

I started a class on my computer and decided to continue on my iPhone. First I noticed that it didn’t save my spot. I redid the questions to move onto the next session and PADITraining froze. I closed out and reopened but then it froze before loading the section I was already on. I’ll do the rest of the class on my computer.

Nonfunctional

“More than 70% of the planet is covered in water” and apparently this also applies to PADI’s servers since it’s almost impossible to download anything.

If you are away from perfect top speed internet (i.e. most of the world’s good dive spots) the download will initially stall out, then refuse to ever activate again, with only the cryptic message “Scorm package not ready” to keep you company.

As someone else said, you had one job…

Doesn’t work for elearning

After you pay for the course you can’t download any of the modules except the first sample one.
I guess PADITraining is just to show you what the course is not to actually take the course.
PADI is a pretty ghetto company. They aren't user friendly and don't bother to help.
Ssi is more of a luxury and upper class dive certification operation. They are professional and user friendly with a fabulous app. Plus they’re much much cheaper and work closer with divers.

Can’t take the corse

App is buggy and won’t let me take the corse until I select a dive center but won’t load the map.

App is glitching way too much

Your app needs a serious fix! Unless I have wifi, the “download” to read in an airplane feature is worthless. Likewise, doesn’t work on data. Recommend fixing this bug because your students can’t actually get the studying they need to in order to prep for the dive unless they have wifi. It shuts down automatically otherwise. Waste of time. This happened on 2 of my iPads and phone. Extremely dissatisfied.

Zero Stars

Like many other reviewers here, I’ve found PADITraining to be completely unusable. I’m on an iPhone 12 running iOS 14.4.2. After multiple attempts reopening and closing PADITraining , I finally managed to get to the eLearning course only to be greeted with the error “Scorm Package is not ready” when I try to view or download anything. I’m technically literate and just could not get this working. If not for years of inertia, PADI would and should be out of business with SSI eating all its market share. What a disappointment.

horrible!

what’s the point of downloading material but then not be able to use off-line??? you must always be connected to the Internet for it to work. Even when you are connected some times it will dump you out of the learning module and back to the main screen. Apparently some modules will continually do this so you have to end up opening up your laptop and going online to see the information.

Such a pain I can’t believe they actually haven’t fixed it after so many years.

You had one job :(

The main reason one would use PADITraining is to be able to use PADI training materials offline. Sadly this function doesn’t work. Judging from other reviews, it hasn’t worked for a long time, if ever.
When connected to WiFi, I logged in, then accessed my course, then downloaded it. PADITraining works fine when connected to internet, but when not connected, it tells you you have to be connected to access the content, even when it is already downloaded. Too bad, it would have been really convenient.

Doesn’t work, very bad

As you try and complete the courses which have to be downloaded to be done. You’ll run into PADITraining stopping working and not able to down load anything ever again. This is a ver bad app that seems like it should work in this day and age when I can literally write this review with limited internet but can’t watch little video and answer questions on PADITraining . I would suggest going to a hotel or home with good Wi-Fi and use PADI’s website at least that thing doesn’t crash as much. But sadly that’s why I tried moving to PADITraining . Either way this is annoying as PADI is an international organization with no digital leadership.

Can’t log dives

I did my elearning on PADITraining just fine, but now that I’m diving I tried to log the dive and it won’t let me select a location, which won’t let me save without a location…

Not sure why reviews are so low. good app

While you do have to download the content, it just takes a second or two. My only issue with this is that you need service or wifi to log in, so even if you have downloaded the content, you can’t do it offline which is inconvenient while traveling. Don’t count on doing your work on a flight or out of the country. That is the only reason I don’t give 5 stars, it would be really great if u could do it offline.
Otherwise PADITraining is totally functional and much easier to use than the website on a phone. Idk why the reviews are so low, I’ve had no issues with it crashing and it seems to save my progress well. the website doesn’t work for my iPhone so I’m glad I have PADITraining .

Worked Great for Me!

The only issue I’ve encountered is a glitch where videos won’t play when you tap play, but bringing the video into fullscreen fixes that.
Otherwise, PADITraining has been very helpful getting my certificate done as compared to doing it on the browser on my phone.
Good stuff!
