Seriously, I have literally been telling everyone about my genius idea and why no one is doing it. Finally, someone does it and they do it RIGHT.

Why can’t google or Apple do this? Brain damage probably. Maybe with the acquisition of dark sky from Apple, Apple plans to include this. Mark your calendars, WeatherontheWay’s days are numbered. Enjoy it while you still can! Give this man who INGENIOUSLY finally did this idea, all of your money now. He truly deserves it. Genius. You have done a great job with WeatherontheWay. However, it would really help with timing if you added in route intervals for rest/gas time. Most people stop about every 3 hours for gas, food, etc. It would be helpful to have a additional setting that could be added so timing on weather and trip were able to be set. Maybe a slider for time or miles you may travel and stops for approx time. I pick a city and it really messes up the map and times. Thanks for a great app

I just loaded WeatherontheWay in preparation of an upcoming road trip - so since I haven’t actually used it on the road I’m reserving the 5 star rating - but I can already tell from looking through WeatherontheWay that it’s exactly what I was looking for. After searching several apps for something to give real time weather as I traveled - including weather alerts, I chose this one for the ease of use. It’s amazingly easy to use and has great concise graphics and lots of information in a compact form. I’m ready to pay for it but will use my free uses first - Fantastic app that does precisely what it says it will do.

Ever since weather underground got rid of their road trip planner feature, I have been looking for an app just like this. I came across the developer’s Reddit post several years back and have been a huge fan of WeatherontheWay ever since. I’m a frequent traveler and storm chaser so having such a simple yet effective UI has been a huge help, especially on the plains where the weather varies from county to county. I would definitely recommend it, the pro features are worth it!

I have wanted something like this for years as a trip planner for the family. Now if you put hotels info along, that would be just perfect!
Oh one more thing, Can you set forecast whether along the trip? System can set a set of default forecast depends on when you reach to each town on the way (for example , based on your driving speed) and user can set a different forecast for the town on the way according their actual travel schedule. Add gas station, grocery stores, etc.

WeatherontheWay is ESSENTIAL for any road trips lasting more than an hour. It’s crazy when you leave home and it’s gorgeous out, and then half way through the drive it starts unexpectedly raining cats and dogs. Live near mountains? You know how the weather can vastly vary from one side to the other.

I will be paying for Pro. WeatherontheWay in seconds what would take me 20+ minutes each time. Multi-day road trips makes this almost impossible to do manually.

Road trip across the country, listening to audiobooks and avoiding the news. I had no idea about the wildfires, but I was curious about the weather. WeatherontheWay showed warnings where smoke and air quality were dangerous and I was able to pick a new route. So grateful!!

Next upgrade: cell service along the way please!!!

It would really be great to be able to save the locations in WeatherontheWay . I drive cross country and it usually takes 3 to 4 days. If I close WeatherontheWay for an extended period of time to take a rest break I find I have to reload my locations back into WeatherontheWay . This can be a little time consuming because breaks are based on time/distance between stops and are different each trip. If not for this issue, this would be a top shelf app.

First off I would like to say that WeatherontheWay is very well put together and the creators should give themselves a pat on the back.

WeatherontheWay is a very simple and easy to use and for me it’s very helpful Whether it be for a car trip or to look at the weather on your route to work WeatherontheWay is helpful to just about everyone.

Unlike many other trip-planning weather apps, this one is actually intuitive and easy to use. It gives you the information you want in a straight ahead manner that's easy to understand. Highly recommend!

I wanted to use WeatherontheWay to see the weather on my son’s trip across the country in winter. The week I used it it was going well until the last day. WeatherontheWay said the route was partly cloudy most of the route, when in fact it was snowing most of the drive. So, do not count on the accuracy of the weather on WeatherontheWay. Use only for timing. But, then again if it’s poor weather, timing will be off as well.

WeatherontheWay has come in handy so many times! I can finally check the weather for our trip without having to type in a dozen locations and remember details. Would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Just opened WeatherontheWay today to find a “wind map”. Being able to see which way my travel trailer will be impacted by wind before my trips is a game changer. Awesome job. Great app. Only drawback is when I forget to use it before I hit the road!

I got WeatherontheWay for a winter road trip. I was really excited about it. It’s very user friendly. Unfortunately, it seems terrible at warning users of blizzards they might be headed towards. Precipitation doesn’t really show up on the planned routes. I even tried planning a route while looking out the window at heavy snow. All WeatherontheWay told me was there was a 10% chance of snow. Deleted before I have even gotten home.

I don’t write reviews but this is a truly unique & useful weather app for those of us that drive a lot or take long road trips.

Anyone complaining about $0.99/mo for access to Pro features needs to get real - it is a tremendous value.

I plan a long road trip into another state & the result is great. But the trip cannot be saved. So there are can be no updates as to weather changes, detours, time delays etc. There is so much info out there but nobody can get it together?? No way I would keep re-entering my destination so I could see what kind of weather I’m driving into!

Just signed up for a yearly subscription WeatherontheWay is so handy. Helped me figure out what time to leave to avoid a huge rainstorm and we use it for every trip we take that we know rain will be somewhere along the way.

I found a post on Reddit that led me to WeatherontheWay. I now know two things: 1) The guy who made this is smart, humble and worth supporting. 2) WeatherontheWay makes traveling so much easier. How this hasn’t existed before, I don’t know. Thank you, Mr. Developer!

I find WeatherontheWay very helpful as I travel to avoid driving through bad weather. The only thing I would like to see added is an adjustment for my speed. I tow a RV so I drive under the speed limit which can make a difference in the weather I see while planning.

(Worked once, now it crashes.) Restarted my phone and it’s working fine now. I don’t use WeatherontheWay often, only in cold winter weather. I’ll check it again on my next trip.

Love WeatherontheWay. The interface is simple, yet informative. The developer is super responsive, too. The only thing missing is CarPlay, which hopefully will be added soon.
