It's good - keeps good time, audible. I don't need much more than that. The accent on the first beat is good. I'd like to be able to change tempo while the metronome is keeping time.
Only quibble is that it’s hard to move up one notch without stopping it.
I love MetronomeBeats so much! It has different sent rings so you can change how fast or slow your tempo is. The only problem with it is that I have a concert coming up and need to learn the temp to be able to play it. Anyway, the problem with that is I can’t figure out the tempo speed without MetronomeBeats .
This is great! The controls are simple and the visual is very nice. My only slight criticism is that I'd like a deeper/fullerwoodblock sound option. The "Digital 1" is close enough to what I'm used to and, the other sound choices are good. Tap tempo would be nice too! Thanks!
Like everything but the 6/8 time with the other little beats audible when I am trying to learn a new piece. Is there a way to have inaudible as well as audible?
I am pleased at how easy it is.
I can count on MetronomeBeats to work when I need it.
I applaud the simplicity of MetronomeBeats. All I was looking for was something to help me with my timing and this does the job! There are only two things worth mentioning. First: When I opened MetronomeBeats for the first time, I had to select what instrument I played from a limited list, and at what level (Novice, Intermediate, Professional). I play banjo which was not on the list so l selected “Other”. I sometimes play around with other instruments and am not able to return to the options to make changes. Not sure if these selections have anything to do with how MetronomeBeats functions, unless they are only used by the developer. Second: there are options for the primary beat sound, two digital and three mechanical sounds. Each option has its own “unchangeable” strong beat sound (all primary sounds have the option to turn off the strong beat). Some of these strong beat sounds are like a high-pitched bell that ring thru the remaining beats. I can see how this might be useful in some cases, but it is very annoying to me at this time (I like one of the mechanical sounds that uses the ringing bell for the strong beat sound) . It would be great if you could choose the primary beat sound and then select the strong beat sound separately. Sort of a mix-n-match of primary/strong beat sounds.
As a side note, bluegrass music is what I play and can sometimes be very fast. Currently, MetronomeBeats only goes up to 208 BPMs. Though, I don’t think I personally will need any faster… at this time!!
This metronome app is all you need. Perfect visual to complement the aural, and a few different sounding options.
Awesome metronome! Just increase or decrease the beat tempo, and start playing and singing. Wow!
Simple and easy!
The graphics for this metronome looked exactly like the one i used when I took drum lessons in middle school. I was familiar with the slide mechanism. Immediately I remembered which speeds I favored certain rudiments at. The advantage to the virtual one over the real one is that I don’t have to wind this one. I feel like I should be filling out my practice card.
Simple & easy to use. I wish I could get my fingers in sync just as easy.
I like that it works just like my metronome at home but I can take it with me without having to worry about damaging the “real” one. Also I prefer this over others that I’ve tried because of the realistic sound options.
If it had an alarm option on the timer it’d be perfect. But it’s free so really can’t complain. It’s great
It’s a great companion for when I’m not at home and can’t use my dear 100-year-old Seth Thomas wind-up Maelzel. It’s also beautifully designed. I love the simplicity of it and the plastic Wittner is also a classic that I feel right at home with.
If you are looking for a simple metronome without lots of options and works perfect then this is it. Looks great, works great, no ads. Perfect for me.
Edit: Dark mode would be nice. Also, the ability to have the metronome still running with the phone locked or screen off.
I grew up using an identical metronome, and even still have it today.
The only thing I wish it had was more control over the timer. I’d love to have a feature to set a time limit, or even just a simple timer reset.
Using MetronomeBeats to get a sense of timing on actions while I go about my daily business is helping my animation skills. Not the intended function, sure, but it’s easy to use, effective, and works really well as background to other activities.
Simple and straight forward. Great intuitive graphics an interface. Love it!
