Contact Contact Groups Support

I wished to delete more than one contact at once and since apple does not offer that I googled it and this app was listed as a good way to do it. I download it and sync my contacts and start selecting the ones I want to delete. When I get to 10 an error message pops up saying I can’t select more than 10 so I go to delete them but my brain has a malfunction and I try to select another contact. The error pops up again and I hit ok and then I hit delete so I can delete the first 10 contacts I selected. Before I know what has happened the screen paused for a second and I see that some contacts I did not select are selected then before I know it the screen updates and ALL of my contacts are gone from the app and my phone. There was no confirmation or undo. When I went to apple support they told me that the app had also managed to delete them from my cloud storage and backup as well. Perhaps this app is good for other purpose but it seriously messed up for me.

Update Found a bug- if you have two contacts in your list with the same email address; in my case a husband and wife with a shared email, it won’t send the email when both people are selected. I still lose contacts periodically. I’ll have to find a new app if this doesn’t improve soon. I’d love to give this 5 stars for functionality but I keep having to rebuild my contact list. I have exactly one group with 17 names in it. I have no idea why but every few weeks about 1/3 of the names in that list disappear and I have to go re-add them. I usually figure it out when people tell me they didn’t get an email. My only guess is they have made it too easy to delete and it’s dropping names randomly when I try to select people.

After reading a few reviews I came to the conclusion that it was not due to an error on my behalf. I only selected the contacts I actually wanted to delete and it ended up deleting every single one of my contacts. Before the developer has the audacity to say it must’ve been human error — NOPE — I checked my selections multiple times before clicking “delete” to confirm I had only selected the ones I actually wanted to delete. Now I have to go through the hassle of restoring via iCloud!!!
