It gave people a laugh

2023-08-23

I would be 94% concerning to being of no concern at all. I decided to scan my mole from birth and it was over 80% concerning. I tried a freckle and it was concerning. I took a black marker and marked my hand and it was concerning. What gave us a huge laugh was when I took a picture of my coworker face with SkinCheck as a joke and it said 94% concerning. I have deleted SkinCheck .

Definitely fake

2024-05-28

I took 10 different pictures of the same area and got a different response each time. It’s basically like one of those magic 8 ball toys you could ask a question and shake then it would show you a random answer. Nothing rings true and I hate this because I really needed and wanted it to work. Please note that I gave it 10 clear pictures of the same area just so I could see if it was accurate or fake. If this was even 10% accurate then I would had gotten same response at least once. On the other hand , maybe if you are very young and want to seem cool, or you’re just bored out of your mind, then you could use this and pretend your phone can screen for cancers. Play Doctor with it? I’m struggling to find a reason to use it, sorry. :(

Inconsistent

2024-05-26

I checked the same mole three times in a row and was given three different responses including 100% cancer and 68% not cancer.

Apparently my quilt has cancer?

2024-05-26

It’s 99% sure that my quilt is a cancerous legion.

Dangerous and unethical

2024-05-26

I began using this for some questions able moles and was relieved that they were fine. Then I used it on a cancerous mole of my husband’s that is nothing like mine. It said the same exactly thing as mine. We started playing with it. I have taken photos of my fingernail, inanimate objects, and even my dogs fur and the all come up as the exact same type of lesion. This is dangerous and unethical to make the claim that this is an app to define skin lesions.

Completely wrong

2024-05-26

I would not use. To check any moles or skin lesions.

App doesn’t do anything

2024-05-28

It lets you take a picture of a lesion and manually compare the picture to pictures of skin issues found on the internet. It does not use AI to evaluate the risk of you lesion.

Worst App Ever

2024-05-28

It kept say 1 “non cancerous thing” the same thing over and over. Well I do have skin cancer, I nearly died because I thought it was nothing so I left it untreated, I blacked out in the living room, they took me too the er and did scans, I have skin cancer. Worst app, I looked up a picture of what it said I had and it looked nothing like the 100 pictures I tested. Would NOT recommend too anyone, just go to the doctors

Do not use

2024-05-26

It’s 99% sure that my rug does not have skin cancer. It gave multiple different answers for the same area I checked. The only way to be for sure about something is to go to the dermatologist. I do not recommend anyone go off of what SkinCheck says.

Do not rely on this app

2024-05-28

Took two photos and they both gave me a diagnosis skin condition that looks nothing like what I have. Took a third photo and came back 84% cancer. Definitely not an app that you should trust with this kind of seriousness. I’ll update this with my actual diagnosis.

Idk what’s going on but

2024-09-17

Not even one thing worked. Any time I tried to select a “button” nothing opened. Couldn’t even get to an option to upload or take a picture. The little circle in the top corner that is supposed to take you to your account, did nothing. SkinCheck was a mess

Consistency, Reliability & Accuracy

2024-09-10

I’ve been using SkinCheck for months. Taking pic of same place time after time I receive different answers. One of the times I received an answer that there’s a 64% sure the mole is cancerous chance of melanoma and they’re 91% sure of that. Whaaaaat? I did same location numerous more times with different answer (no cancer). I went for a biopsy and now waiting for results. It’s great that there’s an app but it definitely needs to be more reliable.

Pretty good

2024-09-06

It’s kinda hard to take pictures that are both close enough and high enough quality for SkinCheck to recognize. I’m not sure how accurate the analysis is, but I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with anything it said. It’s not super easy to check multiple moles when you can only check one at a time. I only have a few moles that are big enough to be checking so that’s not a big issue, but it is a little slow.

This app is cool

2024-08-05

Now I know my moles are not cancer :)

Love this app!

Super easy to use, reliable, and clean interface! Multiple people I know have detected truly dangerous moles with SkinCheck. I would gladly pay for SkinCheck. Thank you!

Good app

2025-01-07

It gave me the exact name of the mole I had! Very accurate!

Great app!

2024-09-17

I took a picture of a spot on my dads arm and it said it was skin cancer. He went to the dermatologist and it turns out it was! Thankfully they cut it out and all is well now.

Skin Check is a great detector

2024-02-24

My sister has developed several moles that looked concerning to us, before we were able to seek a dermatologist’s opinion.
That’s when we heard about Skin Check, and downloaded looking for answers. She had 8 moles at the time that looked concerning and SkinCheck flagged several of them. After waiting several weeks for an appointment, the dermatologist confirmed the exact moles that Skin Check had shown were concerning and we were able to get them removed.

Would highly recommend using if you are worried about a skin spot that looks odd. It is accurate!

Super Accurate

2024-02-24

SkinCheck has helped me a lot by letting me test moles that have spooked me to ensure they are okay.

Love the app!

2024-09-17

Even though my region is US so I couldn't fully use a diagnosis function I still found the AI detection and follow up options really helpful!

This app literally saved my teachers life.

2024-02-24

I introduced SkinCheck to one of my teachers he was a bit unconvinced but then decided to try it. The results came out as skin cancer, he of course didn’t believe it so he went to get it checked out, and it turned out to be true. He got it removed before it got any worse, I am thankful we caught it early. SkinCheck is like my hero. Thank you.
