Don’t buy premium

I’m so upset I wasted $11 on this. I thought the locked pallets underneath were a sample/demo of potential colors, but they were the actual colors! All you were paying for is to see the colors blown up. I’m really upset also that it doesn’t tell you if a color you’re pointing up with the camera is one of your colors. It just gives you a name of the closest color it’s to. I would really like a checkmark or an X when you’re pointing at one your clothes in your closet but it leaves the guesswork up to you. It’s a really handy app, which is why I’m giving it four stars, but i’m disappointed for the little I got for $11. For the paid version I would give it one star. I would love it if they told you whether or not the clothes you’re pointing up we’re part of your color scheme. If they added this little feature it would totally be worth it.

Great but needs improvement

I love MyBestColors it has really helped me out. I just wore what my parents picked usually so I decided to take a few fashion courses and MyBestColors came highly recommend. I definitely see why. It makes it super easy for me to find my general colors in addition what I have learned. The only thing I don’t like is some of the colors are not named for the neutrals, jewelry and for the complimentary colors. In addition to you have to use the website to take your picture to be analyzed and it says you can download your custom palate if you pay more. Which is fine but the color analysis should be in MyBestColors as well. I would also like to see color expansion and tones(with explanation)added.

Best app

I love MyBestColors - and the ability to refer back to “my colors” when shopping or getting dressed. Before styling was a challenge and relying in blue, grey, black or white was my go to. Now I can confidently wear colors that actually suit me!

By

Needs some improvement

This is a great concept, however, the camera needs work picking out colors. I tested the camera to make sure this part of MyBestColors would be helpful. I had the settings all dialed in and it picked up Navy Blue as Powder Blue. Nope, not the right color. Went through all the settings, changed lighting in my room and it never wavered from powder blue.

I really want to like MyBestColors and give it 5* so please keep “tinkering” with it.

Until then, I will do my best to eyeball colors.

Updating previous review

I reviewed MyBestColors earlier (Sunday, I think) and gave it one star. I have since worked with it a little more and have been able to import my colors thru Facebook into MyBestColors . I’m upgrading my review to three stars at this point. When I have a chance to work more with MyBestColors this could change. So far I have gone from wanting a refund to MyBestColors has potential.

5/29/19 Update

I have gone all the way from 1 star and thinking about a refund to 5 star I love MyBestColors. The more I use it the more I want to use it. The customer service is excellent. All questions I’ve had have Ben answered promptly, including instructing me how to get a refund when I was not loving MyBestColors . I understand how MyBestColors works and have begun purging my closet and fabric stash using MyBestColors. It took some trial and error on my part, but now I love it.

Some colors are not named

The colors for deep winter are not named in any pallet other than the best colors.

It’d also be great to be able to customize my pallet IN MyBestColors , especially for the cost.

By

Not helpful

MyBestColors doesn’t include a range of skin tones to assess. It only has like three. As a brown person the user experience is not helpful at all.

By

Not good for blk skin

Kept typing me as dark Winter because it couldn’t read my very dark brown eyes and hair. They both kept coming up as black.

By

Maddening

I am a cool winter but can’t select my season because there is no circle to mark with a check mark to see my pallet and save it.

By

Doesn’t work

Not what I was expecting

By

Ridiculous

The price is steep enough I exited right away

By

Has potential but is a let down so far

This could change but as of right now I can't even get the site to connect to my Facebook to import to MyBestColors so it's pretty much useless for me since I can't afford the steep price of $10.99 to unlock all the features. Really wanted to like MyBestColors but it's not very user friendly and doesn't do much to explain how to use it or most of the features in MyBestColors .

Needs a lot of work.

MyBestColors crashes and the colors picked up by the camera are wonky. Also, if you’re not blessed enough to be one of the four primary seasons (say, you’re a deep autumn,) then they won’t help you at all unless you pay up $10.99. It was fun for a short while, but other free resources online are much more helpful.

By

Useless

I paid $10.99 for the 12 seasonal color palettes, and can’t use them because MyBestColors crashes within a couple of seconds. Very disappointing.

By

Stick with the free version

I swallowed hard and paid $11 for the premium unlock since it’s for life. I’m definitely bummed at what paying extra gets you. I saw another review mention when you hold up the camera to colors, getting a little X if it’s not a palate match or a green check would make a huge difference. I also think it would be just as helpful if it identifies the “colors to avoid” as you swatch. Hoping to see improvements because getting my color diagnostics was cool, and that’s part of the free app, but would like more value for the money.

Wow!

I really never write reviews but MyBestColors really wowed me! I’ve always been so confused on my skin undertone and which colors look good on me. I finally found something that helped me clarify what colors look good on me. It took literally 2 minutes to figure out what jewelry color, hair, eyeshadow and clothes colors suit me. I love MyBestColors!

By

Satisfied!

For awhile I always wondered what colors looked great on me. It has been difficult to know which colors especially with my skin tone. MyBestColors gives you variety color palettes even for jewelry and makeup 🙂

By

Confused

When I tried to find my colors before, MyBestColors said I was a soft summer. I tried it again today and it says I’m a deep winter. I love MyBestColors and the ability to find my colors when I’m shopping, but now I don’t know what pallet to use.?.

By

Not accurate

I tried the same photo several different times and each one received a different analysis. I tried colors on my face that were very similar and ones that were not according to the colors they let you choose. I have blue eyes and it picked up a dark grey. Yes, I’m in good lighting with no makeup. Dressika has been more accurate.

Confusing

confusing. It is supposed to pick your colors but then it says to a

By

Cool, but don’t buy premium.

Cool concept, but not worth $11. Stick with the free!

By

seems inaccurate

i went to the website and it made me “deep winter” because i am black i think.

By

Ahh!

I’ve feel I’ve been scammed!!

By

Love color match game

This is so helpful for expanding my wardrobe. I wish I did this earlier. And the new color match game is really helpful

By

Don’t bother if you don’t already know what your best colors are

If you don’t know if your a mild winter clear winter deep winter or whatever in each season, then the option is to contact one of their experts for $85. You see that option in the pic that says Don’t know your tone? Click here… yeah. Takes you to a consultant. If I wanted to spend $100 on a consultant I wouldn’t have downloaded MyBestColors .

By

Not an app

I opened MyBestColors chose a color type and it opened to their website? There is not anything else period. No trying on colors no saving to MyBestColors nothing talk about a waste of time.

I was already on your website before I even knew there was an app that leads me right back to your website. His is not a real app. Sorry.

By

Thanks for the links to fiverr?? smh

Maybe MyBestColors is good if you already know what your “season” is. If you need help figuring it out, enjoy the link to fiverr, where the cheapest option is to pay $20.

By

Premium is useless

I sprung for premium thinking it would tell me whether a color is in my palette and if not, what season it is in. It tells me what colors from my palette the color in question is closest to but doesn’t offer key info such as whether a color is warm or cool, muted or bright, or how close it is to the similar colors it shows. This gives these features no real practical value.

By

Not worth it

Don’t pay for the premium. MyBestColors is unhelpful. The descriptions for each section lacks clarity. It’s almost intentionally confusing so that you reach out to their stylist.
