Badge scanning feature not working

Hope it gets fixed before the con to sign up for the daily panel and store selection

Failed in 2019

StarWarsCelebrationEurope and all the queuing was a mess enough to ruin a lot of plans, mine included. The retail queue failed ON MY TURN. Ugh. Do better.

Badge Scanning Camera DOES NOT WORK

How will we use Lightspeed Lane???

Disappointed

I’ll start off by saying that I understand pulling off a convention of this scale caliber takes a lot. As such the programing and engineering that needs to go into making an app for a convention this size as well as the trouble shooting takes a lot of time planning and organization. However that being said StarWarsCelebrationEurope has all but ruined my experience at celebration. I unlike members of the group I was in was unable to reserve any panels like they were at the exact same time...... no lightspeed explanation or ease of access was provided other than coming soon or available morning one of the convention. Honestly seems that StarWarsCelebrationEurope was the least prioritized thing about this convention when it was supposed to be the premiere way for the convention attendees for ease of access and navigation of panels shopping and the over all experience of Star Wars celebration. It has fallen short every time, it was been nothing more than a pain. I’m not saying that it is the fault of the programmers and engineers of this but someone is to blame for this. Probably will never hear back on this and it will just be disregarded after the convention ends. But for all the users reading this I feel your pain.

Trash

If the purpose of StarWarsCelebrationEurope was to streamline the Celebration experience by making it easier to plan your schedule around panels you wanted to attend and pick a time to visit the store without waiting in line for hours, then this was a colossal failure on every level. I had tickets for Thursday and Friday. Got there shortly after the event opened and was told StarWarsCelebrationEurope had already crashed. Couldn’t make any panel reservations for Friday, which was the only other day I was there. Didn’t visit the store because the line was too long and couldn’t utilize the lightspeed lane. Couple this with the garbage tier lottery system that was dropped only 2 weeks before celebration, the entire event was a waste of time and money. As much as I love the Star Wars universe, I’ll never attend another event put on by Reed Pop or any of the other convention planners again.

Woefully disappointing

After waiting for StarWarsCelebrationEurope to be released and have it show up with days before the con, it shows how unready it was.

The panel schedule is clearly incomplete, and unable to be filtered, although the search kinda works. Many panels lack any description whatsoever, and it’s almost impossible to see real content buried under all the autograph and photo ops times listed as “panels”.

No way to add your own custom stuff to your “my schedule”.

Little to no info on exhibitors, no info on the Celebration store, no info on a lot of things, some of which say “check back soon” or “coming soon” for a con days away.

No mention of this Light Side Dark Side stuff.

But the worst: most buttons on StarWarsCelebrationEurope aren’t to app elements at all, but to an external link on the web.

Boo. Boooo.

I am so stoked for Celebration, spent thousands to be there and I’m not even there yet, and this is an inauspicious start.

Late but as expected

The maps are way better than last years for sure. The rest of StarWarsCelebrationEurope needs to be improved but it does its job. Kinda sad it didn’t come out 2-3 weeks ago. And that it doesn’t save panels and stuff on StarWarsCelebrationEurope as was promised for reservations and the “lightspeed” panel services

By

Meh.

I like that you can favorite events and make your own schedule. The maps are pretty handy too, and you can zoom in enough to see booth numbers.

However:
1) they should have an interactive pin trading checklist.
2) in addition, the “guests” and “pin trading” simply link to the website. Is that really the best you can do?
3) the schedule is all inclusive, but there’s no way to only see the panels. The only options are viewing autographs-only, photo ops-only, or see everything. I mean, by the time you’re there, you should have already scheduled and bought the autograph and photo ops, so you don’t really need to see every single one. But you DO need to see all the panels and events happening throughout Celebration.

Doesn’t work?

Hard to navigate. Lightspeed lane doesn’t work? Panel reservation doesn’t work or if it does it’s too difficult to figure out. Making me buy Celebration store stuff only through StarWarsCelebrationEurope??? It’s useless. I guess I won’t be coming away with anything because I’m not waiting six hours in line. Ship it to me like you say you can but, oh, StarWarsCelebrationEurope has to work first! StarWarsCelebrationEurope is a huge disappointment. It’s a useless tool. Disney, you should be ashamed of yourselves for peddling this junk to your fans.

Extremely Disappointing

StarWarsCelebrationEurope is way below expectations. It was supposed to make things easier, but instead has had problems after problems. It is not easy to navigate. The supposed, “easy to use”, LightSpeed feature is not even up and running and it’s the first day of Celebration. You would think all bugs would have been addressed and servers ready for the traffic.

Don’t get me wrong I’m still excited to be at Celebration, but StarWarsCelebrationEurope is a very poor excuse of an app.

Almost useless

While I do sympathize with the fact that StarWarsCelebrationEurope requires significant organization and information, the fact that it just doesn’t work for most things is a huge disappointment. The biggest complaint is that it gives incorrect information!! The Galaxy Stage is listed as being in 374c. THERE IS NO ROOM 374c!!! It’s room 375c. If it also happened to mention it was the skyline ballroom that would help, but it disappointed. A failed try.

Just a glorified advertisement for Celebration Merch

If the only reason you go to Celebration is to spend too much money on SW stuff, then StarWarsCelebrationEurope is for you. If you want to find when and where panels are, and how to get admitted to them, it’s useless. The lottery system for first panel of the day is a big improvement of people queuing overnight, but they have no coherent plan or information for the sessions that come later in the day.

Learn proper design

Can't wait for SWC. However, within StarWarsCelebrationEurope you use a horrible bright yellow background with white text on it. This is completely unreadable and not accessible for people with vision impairments

Your designers need a refresher in accessible design.

Disappointed, I am

StarWarsCelebrationEurope is a joke. The advertisements leading up to Celebration all had information about all of the functions of StarWarsCelebrationEurope that were supposed to make everything easier during the convention. The Lightspeed passes are not working, and I have not been able to reserve a panel through StarWarsCelebrationEurope . Nothing is working how it was advertised to be. For the biggest Star Wars event in the world, this is an embarrassment.

By

Disappointment

Been trying to get into the light speed lanes and keeps telling me I have used up my passes. Well I never even used even one! So am I not allowed.? This is terrible. Everyone else has had the opportunity reserve their space on long lines and I simply cannot. Terrible support and terrible information on how and when to use this.

By

Extremely limited

The panels require filtering to get past guests (shouldn’t they be under “guests”?). If you search under Exhibitors and filter for fan groups, Road Squadron, 501st, RL, Mandos, none of them appear in the list.
There is no way to link scheduled photo opps to My Schedule. The map needs to let you click a booth to see who is there. Etc etc etc.

By

The worst con app I’ve ever seen

This thing shouldn’t even be in beta let alone be released for the convention. It doesn’t work. Lightspeed was unavailable. Reservations never works. Couldn’t link some passes and the information was very poorly referenced and little was searchable. StarWarsCelebrationEurope made the convention worse than it was.

By

What a hunk of junk

None of the features have worked properly, light speed passes, show store, panel reservations. Only thing that works on it is when it portals to the celebration website. Had almost a year to build, test & launch but they still pooched it.

By

Autograph/Photo Op Filtering

You NEED to implement a way to remove autographs and photo Ops from the daily listings. Searching for a regular panel is like trying to find a needle in a haystack because there are so many star appearances each day.

By

A hot mess

We’ll see how much worse it is to use at the event but ... SERIOUSLY?!?! The back button doesn’t go back to the previous page you were on? You have to start over? Who the hell coded this thing .. JarJar Binks? Is this a Sith plot to frustrate all users into anger and resentment so they join their sick cult? Embarrassing.

By

Long wait for disappointing app

Though StarWarsCelebrationEurope leaves a lot to be desired (it’s incredibly basic) the worst part of it is the Panels feature. You can’t filter to show only panels. It shows all autographing and photo ops which clutters the view and takes forever to browse through. Please fix the filter problem. People who bought the autographs and photo ops already know when their time slot is.

Reserving panels

When trying to select panels for this weekend but it only let me choose one, all the others show no option to select! I paid how much to come to Chicago to go this weekend and I have only been able to choose ONE panel for this weekend!!

By

Inconsistent, poorly designed

Light speed passes and reservation Data constantly disappears and re-appears. I am constantly having to delete StarWarsCelebrationEurope and download again to attempt to recover information. App design is hard to navigate.
