The initial version of HuntFishKS allows me to store my purchased licenses/permits in a digital format, accessible when my device doesn’t have a service connection. It also provides a handful of bookmark links to the KDWPT website.

HuntFishKS lacks any true utility outside of the fact I can store my hunting license on my phone - no different than carrying the paper copy or photographing the paper copy.

The lack of integration with iSportsman seems to be a significant shortfall. Additionally, by only providing users with a button that links to the KDWPT website, it doesn’t help hunters and anglers in the field. If I have enough of a service connection to check the website on my phone’s browser, then I don’t need an app to give me a link that takes me to KDWPT’s website.

HuntFishKS also lacks the ability for any form of harvest reporting or survey completion and there is no mapping functionality either.

It’s a start but KDWPT needs to continue to invest resources into mobile engagement technology to improve the customer experience of purchasing products (licenses, permits, etc) in conjunction with improving the ability for customers to access information quickly and comfortably (regulations, maps, etc).

Maybe be able to show Ks. Hunter, permission & trespassing on this page, so when asked by a Warden, if you have permission to hunt a property, it can be shown on this site!

Also, since you already have all the boat registration information, why not put that information on the web page? If stopped by a warden, and the name does not match the registration information, it would be nice for a Warden to know, as well as the person who actually owns, pays taxes, and is looking for that boat. Should be an easy add, and only have to update on new purchases, and every three years!

I like HuntFishKS , but it would make more sense if one could have the option to remove expired permits and license’s from their list. It makes no sense to keep old ones listed, only causing you to have to scroll through a bunch of useless info to get to current tags/permits. Even if they would make it so the current items are at the top and expired things are under those, that would be better.

Something to correct this issue would make HuntFishKS a 5 star.

I love being able to have HuntFishKS on my phone, that way if the paper tags that got printed off get wet, the pens I have freeze, or the tags get damaged in any way I have a way of filling out the tags without worrying about it! It’s also very nice to have on hand if I am at the lake and fishing to just pull up HuntFishKS for the game wardens to look at instead of fumbling around for everything in my wallet!

I love having HuntFishKS! Just wish you could delete your old ones off of there so you can find your valid ones a lot easier.

Hopefully this is just a beginning, and not the full solution. It will be nice to not need my paper permits, however for deer season it will still require having the paper tag. Take another step towards the mobile era and go fully paperless.

Also, develop HuntFishKS to show seasons & other important information in HuntFishKS rather than linking to opening the mobile browser.

Love HuntFishKS , and I enjoy knowing I’m always in season with the right licenses and tags since it hits my credit card automatically. And even if I only hunt s few times a year it’s good knowing I’m helping the KS P&W dept.

Was skeptical when I saw two stars. This works great. I read reviews where it wanted integrated everything- but this solves my problem...keeping my valid license on me. It works. It says what it will do and does it.

I purchased my resident fishing permit and trout permit earlier this year, however HuntFishKS still shows my last year’s permits, which will do me no good in the field. When will the KS HuntFish app be updated to display my 2020 permits? We are already into May!

I am prepared by carrying my paper permit in my wallet, however HuntFishKS was billed with the idea that a person wouldn’t need to carry paper permits.

Like the fact that I don’t have to deal with people at checkout lines who don’t know what they are doing. Now let’s keep the ball rolling and allow us to purchase tags in HuntFishKS and check in big game animals.

It’s so nice to be able to log on and buy all my licenses and permits w/o going to wait in line at a store. Everything is saved right there on my phone.

Great to store my license and permits I always have my phone now I don't have to remember what gear I put my license in last time out not that the physical ones are readable after a couple of months anyway.

The website and mobile app is confusing on how to report your harvest, they use to send emails out or you had a actual tag, now with his mobile app it’s confusing on how to report the harvest correctly.

I was thrilled to see HuntFishKS appear as a method for managing all of my permits and hunting/fishing activities online. It is fast, efficient, and one of the best state sponsored wildlife park apps I’ve used.

This is by far the best app I have ever used. It’s very convenient and accessible. Very easy to use. I hope they continue to use it for many years

So easy to pull out your phone and look up your license and everything.

Everything I need to know about the regulations in Kansas, storage of my license, and keeping up-to-date on any changes, this is HuntFishKS to have for Kansas Hunting.

HuntFishKS is great......except for having to re-enter your information every time there is an update.

Great app for a traveling hunter. This makes having all your pertinent information right at hand very easy. More states should follow .

2-stars is enough. There is a lot you could do with HuntFishKS. Everything on the website could be incorporated. Weekly fishing reports need to be added. Take a look at Texas fishing app.

HuntFishKS is very simple however, it is nice to have all my licenses right on my phone and the ability to hit a link straight to the pertinent info on their site. I’m sure there will be additional updates in the future that will need to include offline data, maps, and iSportsman integration. Regardless, I’m glad they finally designed an app that will hopefully become a great tool for Kansas sportsmen.

It is just links that connect you to their website. I was able to sign in, but it didn’t list my licenses? I’ll delete and just go to the website in my browser.

Won’t allow selection of identifier type, so can’t even get started. Deleting it immediately. See Missouri’s app - it works great.
