GROM - Social Network For Kids Reviews

I love GROM and love the concept, it’s a great first step before Tik Tok etc. but I have some suggestions. My parents said I’m to young to have tik tok so I got this about 5 months ago so we did some research and saw that this was the best option. But here’s the thing. After 2 months of having it my account got banned, we tried to email this app and they still have not responded. My account was super innocent and had no reason to be taken down. I have signed up a new account and from what I see it is getting better, but also is just the same, Also It’s not as smooth as tik tok at all. Is really slow and has a ton of glitches, even the simplest things as answering a DM is difficult and slow. And I don’t understand why we can’t have our own pfp. Nothing else. Nice app would recommend-ish.

I got GROM because 11 years old and I love too dance but my parents won’t let me have tiktok, Twitter, Snapchat, basically any Social media. So as soon as you get GROM you have to sign in or log in which I did, I clicked sign up. Then it was fine until about the 3-5th video I saw when it’s started glitching so much to the point that I had to skip the video because it wasn’t working, then I kept watching and every two videos it glitches or the video turns all black!! So I deleted GROM and got it again and it still didn’t work so you are better off not getting GROM I can’t believe this work was first to pop up and doesn’t even work also when you go to film the video of your self the songs aren’t the trendy songs, the best song they have and the most trendy is the one that starts by saying “dancing in my room, swaying my feet” don’t get GROM-

I had GROM and it’s really annoying that you have to pay. Why can’t it just send your parent an email confirming approval. You can’t do anything until you pay a dollar and it’s not worth it. This has to be changed. It’s honestly terrible. I bet there are other ways to get parent approval. I understand this app people have to get paid but seriously. Charging my ten year old a dollar for GROM is not worth it. I hope this helps. Do not download unless your child is DESPERATE for a social media.

I am a 10-year-old girl and I’ve always wanted tiktok as soon as it came out but my parents said that I’m too young for it so that broke my heart and then my parents went online and they saw this app and they showed me and then I was like sure and then I got on this app but I wasn’t able to post a video or comment on videos or even do edits until I paid a dollar and so I did and then it said it was activated but I still couldn’t post a video or comment on a video which is really really confusing because we paid for it twice actually and it’s just not working 😢😭 my dad also tried going on the mama bear app but still didn’t work so then I try to figure it out and it doesn’t have to take up to much internet

GROM is amazing! You can post a small video of you and get hearts, comments, and views. But it will ask you to pay 1 dollar for parents permission witch I don’t understand because at the beginning you enter your parents email and then your in. Also when you pay you can comment an edit your profile. I understand like to pay to get more backgrounds. But I don’t understand that. Also I have some update ideas 1 to be able to ad a video for your photos app. 2 is to have filters for cosplayers (like myself) 3 is to make groups (for example the bear group and so on.)

I have GROM a 2 star because it has a really good concept, to make social media safe for kids and I agree it did that there are just a few problems I want to point out if you want to get your child GROM. GROM isn’t very “organized” like tik tok. A lot of kids say they want to get tik tok but they are too young so when I saw this I thought I might get this for my daughter. So I made a fake account just to see what it’s all about. And the videos were just scattered everywhere you could comment unless you wanted to pay $1. I think GROM tries to make social media safe for kids but they also want to take money. My suggestion is that you can get this for your kid he/she will be safe, but I don’t recommend it.

Hi I am a user of this app and it’s amazing well my parents don’t let me have tic tok so I have been looking for a social media app for a while. So when I found this app I was pumped. So all I had to do is add an email and password boom have an account so I watched some videos and I wanted to make my own video so I made my 15 second video and I taped post but my parents don’t like me spending money on apps so I don’t get that you have to pay one dollar to post thanks for reading.

So, I’ve been searching for a kids social media app since forever. I like this one and all, but why do you have to pay a dollar to get in? My mom doesn’t like kids using social media, (I wasn’t able to get Tik Tok either) and she also doesn’t like spending money on apps either. So, why do we have to pay? On BlockStarPlanet all you have to do is put in your parents email and boom. No money required. Only update I don’t like. Hope you read my review

This is an ✨Amazing✨ app but I would enjoy some improvements

Idea 1: To have stories like Instagram where you can post pictures not just videos.

Idea 2: better editing software and music such as being able to add your own music and for different speed and to be able to cut videos

Idea 3: to improve the DMs. My DMs are very glitchy I don’t know if anybody has this problem as well…

Idea 4: to have longer video options such as 15 seconds and 1 minute

Everything else is fine but some times the audio will lag and it will still be playing even when your on the next video, also ALL the videos are just straight up glitchy. I also wish you could choose a photos from your gallery for the profiles instead of the weird looking cartoon people they currently have.

So GROM was super fun and amazing! But then they had an update...now updates are usually oof but not gonna lie, this one wasn’t. I can’t post any videos, it’s more laggy than usual, and it’s really confusing. I liked it better before, I’m probably not the only one. Hope this didn’t come across as rude, just please fix these issues

So I got GROM thinking it would be like Tiktok because I can’t get tiktok, but it was not like TIKTOK I wanted to make a video but there were no good songs I just really want a search bar so you can search any songs to use for your post anyways please fix this

I love GROM. It’s so fun posting stuff, and getting likes and comments, and, everything else. I see that some people make shows on this app. But most people CAN’T! I wish that anyone could make a show. And this app can tell us how. Please! please show the seosons, and the names of the episodes. And please let us post photos, and have a profile picture of us. The videos are extremely short and while that’s not a big issue I know something that is, I got logged off so I tried logging back in but when I clicked log in it popped up with a message saying “oops” and that’s it. How am I supposed to know what that means? Did I enter in the wrong password? Is GROM down for bug fixes? Please specify better and care about your customers. The “oops” problem has happened on multiple ecastions
And it’s extremely stupid.

For me personally as a parent I can see how sun rate GROM is but GROM isn’t for me. My son loves it he gets to communicate with his friends and feel connected and I allow it. It needs more interaction and platform remodeling but I assume it will get better.

Finally something that is kid oriented! The camera filters are my favorite part, my kids love them. It’s a great first experience for social networking for kids that want to be on social media and and parents that want them to enjoy kid friendly content. I have recommended this to all my parent friends!

It literally just shows the same posts way too much, there is some good content on there but it’s mainly really for like kids 6-8 bc there’s just not that much of a variety of content, and GROM is also very glitchy… so yeah

I overall like the concept to this game and i think it is pretty well put together the only thing is in most of the videos it's kinda blurry and hard to see and i am 12yrs and i find GROM really fun so overall it's a pretty good game!!

i thought GROM would not do what it did i bought evrything and got remove adds but i still get adds i dont know why i paid for it 2 times and i dad it 2 weeks ago and its still popping up adds please fix this

I luv GROM! I’m on it constantly! But somtimes I kicks me out. Like when I’m trying to finish my draft and I click that button, it kicks me out! I just starting clicking the button today so I don’t know if it’s a glitch or not! Other than that, it’s a amazing!

I really like GROM. But I think you should be able to add music to the video from GROM and the songs should be songs like ones from tik tok or MuStar , But clean songs. When I am making my video i have to pull up the music I want from a different phone.

I was excited to get GROM. But when I logged in and wanted to post a video you would have to solve a really hard math problem??? That is just not cool. I wanted GROM to post videos not to do math. Just beware of glitches too. When I made a video it booted me out. I don’t know if this was just my phone but it glitches A LOT. So I don’t recommend GROM but if you guys could fix it that would be great.

So glad I found GROM. My kids are really enjoying the videos they can make. GROM is so much safer than others on the market especially for young kids.

Over all I think this is a good app for kids but here are a few of my suggestions:

1. Can there be a feature where parents can block there child’s face when they film a video? (I am not a parent myself I just want to stay safe)

2. Can you not have to pay to add your name add bio etc

3. And One Last Thing, Can you make like a vertified button for the accounts who have the most followers?

I really like GROM and it is very safe and good for kids (like me) love y’all😘

An app made for kids. I feel like it was an app MADE BY KIDS. Very unorganized. All the reviews I’ve already read complain about how slow it is and yet, it’s STILL NOT FIXED. GROM is very laggy. Very glitchy. Very slow. And I’m not giving you my bank info just so my son can comment. That is a real easy excuse to scam someone later on. I would not recommend. It needs some serious work.

GROM is complete trash it is just waste of time and money. I mean one dollar is not that bad but my dad could’ve used it for a snack or a drink at the corner store. Also, when I post something it takes forever to post and it takes at least twenty minutes to load witch is ridiculous so, if you want a five star from me make BIG improvements. Thank you!

It's annoying having to send and email just to post something and having your parents invading your private life, but younger kids might need it since they're very unpredictable.

My mom payed and all but every time I get on GROM it keeps loading for hours and it keeps signing me out. Plz fix this! I can’t even Enjoy GROM !
