Melee is great and you should totally check it out. It is a great way for gamers to connect with other gamers. The only thing I dislike about Melee, is there is no option to delete comments on your posts. Many people leave rude and toxic comments (what do you expect) and I can’t filter out inappropriate words and phrases. One thing I would like to be added is a section (similar to that on TikTok) where you can filter certain words and comments with those words will be automatically deleted. Other than that, great app, with lots of sub-groups for different consoles and games. Would most definitely recommend to anyone who wants to start their online gaming profile.

I love posting my clips on this app but it’ll be cool if this app had a feature to where we can delete comments on our own posts because lately, I’ve been getting negative/hate comments from people that have 0 followers, 0 following, 0 XP, and no content posted. Even though I block them, I still get negative/hate comments from new accounts that have 0 followers, 0 following, 0 XP, and no content posted (not sure if it’s one person that keep making new accounts over and over after I blocked them). Hopefully this app will have a delete comments feature so we can delete negative/hate/unwanted comments on our posts

i downloaded Melee not too long ago and i am loving it. although its a good app it has a few problems just like any other app. im gonna list the most frequent ones just to be clear about them.

1. it is very inconsistent when it comes to loading pages.

as soon as i go to another app to check something then to go back it stops loading everything and says there is connection issues. i restart Melee but that still doesn’t fix the issue until a few minutes to an hour pass and then its fixed. this issue really bothers me because i can never tab in and out to find clips and such.

2. most of the clips i choose won’t load.

i don’t know if its just me having this problem but there are a lot of my clips that just won’t load whenever i try to upload them. it either gives me an error message telling me to try again or it just doesn’t do anything.

3. Melee freezes often.

there’s really nothing much to this one. i’d just be scrolling and all of the sudden Melee freezes, then to restart its a problem because it just sends me back to the first issue i mentioned here.

those are the issues that i’ve found really annoying ever since i got Melee . i really hope you guys fix these. no pressure, no hate. i really love Melee so far.

Suggesting a game or trying to leave feedback doesn’t immediately load. When it does, it doesn’t return you to the previous screen and tapping the back arrow in the top left results in an endless loop of reloading the suggestion/feedback screens. You have to force close Melee to resume using it. Having a ton of issues with the UI not responding as well as it being vague on what every little icon does without clicking on it and risking Melee not doing anything.

Melee is also missing a ton of major and well known games. My gripe is with Final Fantasy XIV being absent on Melee , as Melee would be a great place to share content found and created in the game. I have no idea how there are so many small, niche MMOs on Melee but the arguably largest and currently highest rated MMO on the planet is missing.

I figured the people at Imgur would have done some research and at least used Wikipedia to find the current top ten games in each genre just to get it started. Imgur was born of reddit nerdiness so it’s really odd that it feels like a non-gamer’s take on a gaming community.

Overall it’s a good idea on paper but Melee is so far behind the Imgur app in terms of usability and content that I recommend passing it up until they drastically improve the UX and, my biggest issue, ADD GAMES THAT PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY PLAYING.

I was very excited to see an app like this because I have a closet full of old game clips and no one to share them with. Right now it’s a smaller community, but that’s what makes it great. I enjoy that you’re not limited to one upvote or “XP” as this app calls it. I would have given it five stars, but there are certain features I’d like to see such as custom avatars, or gif comments. I mean, and also who gives 5 stars? That’s such a ridiculous standard. That means there is nothing better.... *doubt*

Melee is great the only thing it needs is to be able to get clips from your platform directly and not just from your saved videos.
For example being able to see your clips from Xbox without needing to save them

I’m having a really hard time understanding what Melee’s purpose is and what it brings to the table that isn’t already done (and better) with other social platforms. I get that it’s a gamer focused platform, but I still don’t understand why gamers would make this their platform to talk about games and share experiences when we already have SO MANY other places to do so with much larger audiences.

Until this brings something unique to the table, I’m deleting. Would have also given more stars if it wasn’t for the requirement to sign up, which is pointless if you’re just lurking anyway. It’s very frustrating to provide companies my information when it’s not necessary.

An app where you can watch people’s clips n also post your own game clips, is what gamers need! Melee is gaining traction so of course there’s gonna be some minor bugs but overall Melee is good! Lags here n there when trying to post a clip but isn’t that big of a deal haha. Plus you can communicate with the Admins on Discord! So any game suggestions or app suggestions are only a conversation away

Melee has a cool platform for gaming but out of no we’re again I was pushed out of an account that I made with my email and now it’s saying I don’t have that account anymore. This is my second time making an account and I post my content on and I’m not able to to log back into my account. I wouldn’t recommend Melee to anyone unless they fix issues with the platform. Also nobody gets in contact back with you to fix issues it’s just a open platform with no real structure of saving your information and all the time you put into the game

A few things, Melee is basically a gaming subreddit without downvotes. The good stuff is Melee is well designed and loads quickly. We’ll see if that continues with more users. On the down side Melee requires login which I hate especially after using it and realizing it’s not needed at all (if you don’t want to comment etc). Tiktok allows you to view content without login, learn from them as this is the far superior design.

I’ll come back in a month to see if content is better. Cheers.

So, a few weeks ago I posted a review with one star stating that I couldn’t log in because it was crashing too much. But now after I did log on. I posted a few things closed Melee and then I had opened it later in the day and I noticed that something was wrong. Melee KEPT FRICKING CRASHING RIGHT WHEN I OPENED IT! Devs, if you can find the issue please fix this immediately. I really enjoyed using Melee until it crashed over and over.

I cannot say how nice using Melee is. Works perfectly for me and looks incredible. The community is a bit limited right now but that’s to be expected seeing as it’s so new. I hope the community and lists of games grow because I really want more people to see how incredible your guy’s app design is and how much potential it has.

A one stop shop for gaming clips, memes, and more. I don’t like sifting through social media for gaming clips. I like that I can even choose specific games/categories to view. Melee is consistently improving with small tweaks periodically. Video quality is top tier, exp system is unique and cool. Lots to love here

I won't lie, there have been some issues I've experienced, but the support has helped me resolve them exceptionally quickly, which is why I give five stars despite the occasional problem.

Melee is really good, but when I searched up games like Rec Room any Gorilla Tag, they did not show up. This isn’t a huge problem or anything but I think it would be nice to have some more VR games included.

So, Melee looked really fun because I’ve been looking for a good game streaming app, and I wanted to try it out, but as soon as I opened and went through the sign in part, at this stage Melee just crashed over and over again, I think it’s just my phone maybe I’ve used to much storage and it’s just being weird, or maybe it’s Melee but developers can you help me figure out this problem because this seems like a great app!

I see myself using this more than Twitch. I like having a feed of games to see clips and people sharing content. I think this is a pretty cool app and I recommend trying it out!

We have a good place to place clips and video game memes now people, THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Love the layout and performance for how early Melee is in its life. Excited to see what it has planned for the future. App runs smoothly, support staff is friend and content is enjoyable.

I like the idea behind Melee, but it's incredibly slow to load videos, sometimes more than 10 seconds. I have fiber and no other video app takes more than half a second to begin playing. They need to upgrade their infrastructure

The birth of this app was an incredible surprise for me. I can’t devote much time right now for broadcasting gameplay, but to create snips and clips of what I do so the gaming community can see? Now thats gold. Melee needs some spotlight to get it going, because we’re just getting started and when the word gets out - its gonna be insane!

So far this app is a great way to see plays by new streamers. I discovered a YouTuber who makes hilarious gaming mashup videos. The community is small, but positive and encouraging. I asked for Gwent tips and now I’m the Gwent champion of Velen. I’m excited to see where this app goes in the future.

Finally a community of people who get me! I was even able to find a page for Parasite Eve. Looking forward to seeing new game content from my old favs and finding new games to play!

Melee is very easy to navigate because it resembles Imgur’s intuitive layouts. I’ve also seen nothing but positivity from other users, when in itself is a unicorn these days.

Video upload is very easy and can be done a multitude of ways.

Login can be done from Twitch, so you don’t need to sign up for anything new.

Overall, it’s great. I’m sure it’ll keep getting updated as it gains popularity and I can’t wait to see what Imgur does with it.

I love Melee but I want to get clips from my computer to Melee . is there away you can make a website for it on computer

It would be really nice to zoom into screenshots as some images have tiny subjects. Other than that, awesome.

Here’s an awesome space for anyone who loves video games (it has subsections for every game pretty much, including my personal favorite MARIO) —that will only get better as more people download it. Great app!
