Great variety of programs and classes

I’m really happy with Dribbleup and the smart medicine ball. I had gotten bored with my old workout routine, and was hoping this might be different. It is! Because Dribbleup keeps track of classes and reps, I’m more likely to work out because I don’t want to break my streak. It’s also interesting to see where you rank on the leaderboard. I didn’t think I would care about that, but it ups the challenge factor and makes me feel accomplished when I manage to move up. There are short 5-7 minute classes or longer classes so I can always find something that works with the time I have. You could easily never do the same workout twice. I have had no issues with the ball tracking, and there are lots of instructional drills to help you learn the moves properly and safely. Highly recommended!

Total game changer!

First off, I’ve got to say I don’t write reviews but just could not go without letting people know how great this product is. We purchased this for our nine year old son to use. This is his first year to play basketball and we really don’t know much about the sport. Within just a few days he had watched the tutorials and absolutely could not put the basketball down! I asked my son what he thought of the experience and his exact words were “It’s fun and so easy to use!” This is one of the neatest and most awesome teaching tools I have seen and it’s really cool how it uses technology! Thank you this app for giving our family something to be excited about as we watch our son grow in the sport!

Feel the burn!

I never enjoyed exercising. I’m lazy 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I also like food way too much, and prefer not to look like a stuffed sausage myself. I took up running, but that only goes so far to slim and tone. So I took a leap of faith on the dribble up medicine ball and I’m so happy I did! There is a variety of levels to
Work out in, workouts to target different areas and a mix of live classes, recorded classes and drills. The challenges keep me motivated, and the watching my reps go up knowing I’m beating my PR keeps me going. I highly recommend it to shine looking to include some exercising into your every day! Totally worth it!

I’m on day 86 of working out daily! This is motivating!

Dribbleup works great, they keep adding updates and there’s little things to work around like sometimes if your shirts is a matching color Dribbleup will hate you but other than that, which is kind of expected, this is absolutely a wonderful work out app that actually is engaging me to work out daily. 100% recommend getting the med ball and use Dribbleup. Especially join the group! It’s super positive and friendly

Winner!

I bought this for my 12yr old son for Christmas. Here are his thoughts so far. “I think that my ball control is definitely getting better, especially my left hand. I’ve learned to get low and stay low. I’m also learning new dribbling combinations that I think would have taken me longer on my own. The coach is nice and teaches effectively. The ball is easy to control and comfortable. Dribbleup is super user friendly and does a great job breaking down the classes.” -Jaxon

DU is an awesome fun tool

We have loved DU. We first purchased a few years ago and used it a little with soccer. As our kids have developed and gotten a little older they are using it more, challenging themselves and working in skills. We just added the basketball this year for a Christmas for our son. He has loved it so far and getting him something else besides a video game that is interactive and helpful in developing a skill I’m all for. Well done DU, keep up the good work.

Great easy workout!

So far I am loving the medicine ball! I use it on my iPad, I haven’t had any connectivity issues with it yet (I make sure I have open space a good lighting). The 6lb was great to start and I love that there are a lot of practice drills. The initial 30 day program is a great way to ease into it!. Haven’t tried a live class yet, but I just want to get warmed up to it first and see all the things Dribbleup has to offer on demand. Even my 10 year old does it with me!

Fun alternative to the gym

I stopped going to the gym last year, and while I enjoy my neighborhood walks, I’ve been looking for some kind of strength training to replace the workouts I used to have. I thought I would try this out, and though I’m still starting out, I enjoy the variety of exercises and found myself sore in a good way the day after — underused muscles groaning to life again! I like how Dribbleup works with the ball to make it like a game to finish the drills.

Boxing

Need a better way to count punches. When boxing/kickboxing we move a lot and get out of frame and more than half of punches are not being counted. Which wouldn’t matter but then they compare you to other members which is cool but it needs to be accurate. I try to get back on frame and miss until I forget t and get the work out in. However, that’s not how Dribbleup claims it works.

This needs to get fixed. I’ve see other reviewers with the same feedback and not only with boxing but other DU products.

Also, fbook shouldn’t be the only community if members they have. Unless they’re only targeting older millennials, stay at home parents, and older.

Holy burn baby!!

Life changed two years ago and being healthier became a priority, then the “VID” hit and boom so did the extra pounds from snacking all day at home. I’ve only had the ball for a week and it’s already kicking my booty! I love it. It will take some adapting due to other health reasons, to build the strength up, it’s so worth it though! You guys have created a product that helps to the exercises properly and burn the calories while doing it!

Lack of shot tracker and good features

Bought this because I wanted to be able to track shot speed for soccer ball. Major disappointment when I found out they don’t do that. The workout/class features is great…if you aren’t a teenage soccer player who loves to shoot the ball and would love to see how fast my shot is. If this app sees this, add the shot tracker feature back. Give more options than just workouts and skill training. Customer service was ok. They responded quickly but never actually answered my question. Should’ve read reviews and did some research. Hope you do this

Work outs for everyone!!!

This is the best investment that I have made. I have had several surgeries on my knee and waiting for surgery on my Achilles but having the option to do chair exercises has been great. Dribbleup is easy to use and the instructors are amazing .This has helped me get back into being healthy, helped my self esteem while I heal. I can’t wait until I can do all work outs. Next investment is the boxing gloves and bag.

Best gift for our kids!

We purchased the soccer ball and basketball for our kids for Christmas and we already love them both! It was very easy to set up their accounts and they were playing within minutes of opening the box. The live sessions are awesome! They love getting a shout out from the trainers and we love the quality of the workouts they are getting. Awesome product!

Absolutely love it

I’m not a gym person I prefer working out at home this is the perfect way to do that . You can pick what areas you want to work on your skill level and how long you want to work out I absolutely love my Dribble Up medicine ball . I also love that it keeps track of your progress that’s a added bonus I highly recommend this to anyone who loves working out but hates going to the gym .

Good workout

This is a good way to get your exercise in without killing yourself. If you’re a beginner, you can do it. The segments are not so terribly long so you can fit it into your morning and add more if you like. The instructions are easy to follow and they give a good demonstration before the exercise begins. There are programs to follow if you don’t subscribe to the live classes. I’m enjoying the exercises and shaping up.

Dribble Up Basketball

Got this for our 12yo son. He wasn’t too impressed with it right out of the box, because he didn’t really understand how it works. It’s pretty nondescript packaging. However, once I hooked it up for him, and he mirrored to our tv, he did 5 classes right away and is loving it. We’re quarantined for Christmas, and this is helping him pass the time.

I love DribbleUp!

I’ve loved my experience thus far. My B-ball skills have definitely improved, and this simple, easy-use app has been a huge part in it. A FEW TIPS FOR NEW USERS: - Keep your device plugged in before using. - Make sure you have the official this app ball; IT DOES NOT WORK WITHOUT IT. - The free version works fine. - For iPad/iPod users, if only works connected to the Internet. Great app!

Best purchase for workouts ever

I was eyeing the ads on fb for some time. I loved the idea of working out with the medicine ball and the classes looked more like games to me. So seemed like a fun workout. I finally purchased it and I’m hooked!! It keeps me on my toes and challenges me. I purchased the 10lb ball so it’s not the easiest after not working out since lockdown but I love the challenge. Get it!!!

Flawed

While I love the concept of Dribbleup, when I mirror to my tv it hardly ever seems aligned with where I should be.

The mirrored version doesn’t look anything like they do in the advertisements.

Floor exercises are nearly impossible because even when you move the phone towards the ground it seems too low. The targets that you are supposed to hit aren’t where they should be. It makes working out more of a difficult task and probably not safe. I’m not working out properly, just trying to hit the targets so it can catch my rep.

Their lives seem to be at like 4 in the morning for me on the west coast.

The beginner classes are still so hard. Show us what we can do until we get up to speed.

Overall pretty disappointed with Dribbleup.

So far so good

Got the soccer and basketball for each of my kids and today was the first day they used it for 45 min each. 1) for them off the coach so five stars just for that. 2) it is teaching them core skills that they don’t really learn in practice so I’m really hoping this becomes a habit for them and they become better players.

By

Liking it

I have been using the 6lb ball for about a month now and have only worked up to 10 min easy at this point although I have started adding wrist weights and stretch band around my legs. This has been a fun, quick way to add on to other workouts. The ball read was iffy today on my last 3 drills. Dribbleup needs an option to to send feedback during the workout that the ball is not reading. Nothing worse than doing the exercises anyway and Dribbleup can’t let you manually add your reps completed - disappointing to see an incomplete workout summary. Anyhow, keep making improvements, DU! Your customer support on Facebook ha been great when I’ve reached out.

Good exercise, bad app recognition

I love the exercises. They’re short and fun enough that I look forward to them. I am a little sore the next day but not so much so that I am in pain.

However, I think i do 1/3-1/2 more reps than asked for because Dribbleup doesn’t recognize when the ball “hits” the target every time. I’m trying to figure out whether it’s what side races the phone, my speed, the lighting in my room, or something else. So far none of these has seemed to make any difference. Sometimes I have to get completely out of the form to make Dribbleup recognize that the ball is directly over the target on the screen. It’s frustrating.

By

Work outs get you sweating

The works will get you sweating for sure. I had some issues with Dribbleup working properly at first but then figured out to just swing the ball through the targets instead of trying to hit them and make the target switch. Dribbleup could use some work. I really don’t like the new change to having each exercise finish related to time vice when I hit the total number of reps I should hit. There should at least be an option to go by time or reps. Maybe there is but I could not find that setting.

By

Great Concept, Bad App

Loved this and was planning to post my daily workouts to promote DU, but I can’t even make through one exercise without it glitching. I end up getting way more frustrated when Dribbleup repeatedly doesn’t see my ball and the girl says “Don’t quit now!” Also the “Target Touch” target is located on the right side of the screen once it begins so you only work out one side of your body. Such an excellent concept, but apparently Dribbleup has needed to be updated for far too long! Hopefully someone else will do it right.

By

Camera doesn’t see the ball

I like the idea of this, and I have the other 2 smart balls for me kids, but this one just doesn’t work. I have tried moving my phone all over the house, using different lighting and even using my kid’s basketball stand, but I cannot get Dribbleup to respond to 50% of the moves that I do. It is frustrating when I have to do a move multiple times to just get one rep acknowledged. Usually I just give up and put it away before the exercises are done.

By

Horrible app recognition

Have used Dribbleup over a few months now and it’s so much work to get Dribbleup to recognize the medicine ball during the individual exercises that I don’t enjoy or get much from the workout. I’ll just use the medicine ball as a regular medicine from here forward. Not wasting my time with Dribbleup anymore. Great concept but lots of bugs to work out. Probably not completely market ready.

By

Short people and ball read

Dribbleup has a really hard time reading the ball at times and that really messes up the exercise. Also I’m pretty short (about 5foot) and I feel like I have a hard time with the targets at times , almost need to throw the ball. I seem to have to move forward and back a lot to find a spot that works for my height.

By

Not worth the money

App closes if you swap between apps. Can’t control volume so if I have music playing I can’t hear the videos. Not very intuitive as far as ISE age goes. Motion tracking is off. App will count moves when I’m not even holding the ball, and then miss counts when I am right on target. Lots of room for improvement, but I’ll probably return my ball and delete Dribbleup .

By

App doesn’t recognize target 50% of time

I was really hoping to love this medicine ball and app. But I’ve never been more frustrated attempting to work out. Dribbleup and hardware are not well calibrated and you need to focus on getting Dribbleup to register that the ball is in the circle, instead of that you executed the correct movement. Very disappointed. Will be asking for a refund.

By

It needs work!

The concept is great but sometimes doing the workouts the ball doesn’t register which can be annoying. Especially as I’m writing this the ball isn’t in my hands and the exercises are going through without the ball 🤦🏼‍♀️

By

Loved the app until it started glitching

Dribbleup was working great until it asked me to change my password and now it doesn’t even need the ball in order to register the target being reached. I hope to contact customer support to see if the medicine ball is refundable at this point.

By

Sometimes it works

Sometimes it works other times it doesn’t scan. You have to stop and actuallly wave the ball around to get the sensor or camera to pick it up. When it does work it’s great. But it doesn’t work work often. This could be awesome. It’s not.

By

Roll back the last update.

Used to be fun. But the latest update has completely screwed up the ball tracking, if the ball isn’t moving toward the camera, Dribbleup doesn’t track it.

By

I’m trying to love it.

I really want to love this. But Dribbleup just is way too inconsistent in reading the ball. I find myself doing the exercises wrong just to get Dribbleup to read the target hit. Hopefully it improves. It wasn’t cheap.

By

Pointless app

It was a great concept but Dribbleup is what’s keeping it from actually being what it’s supposed to be. Did everything I was told when I emailed about Dribbleup but still disappointed. Awesome workouts, awful app.

Hi my wife ordered the medicine ball and never used it we paid 90 dollars for it and y’all charged us a 9.99 monthly fee since December for a service we never used. I am facing back surgery and this item is not part of my recovery. I just canceled the service but is there a way to get our 49.95 fees that y’all charged? Also the website has the ball for 49.95 not the 90 we paid.
