To think my gaming days have been dead since college, right around the time of Halo II's release. I've tried other games, mostly short and simple ones on iPhone but left me with just low dopamine pleasure (e.g. Angry Birds, Candy Crush, etc.)
THIS, however, is a gamechanger. No ads, unless you wish to watch them for bonuses (and I do) great gameplay layout. Ability to fight AI and against real players. Ability to select which country you want from what's available. Strategy and managing current resources. It's fantastic!
Usually, I'm the type to have depression overcome me and sleep in. With this game, I'm up happy at night. And I look forward to morning reports of what's happened on the front lines. I feel engaged. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
I didn't have to buy a new console for that, or to buy a game separately. I even found out that there is ability to share link to play on your computer instead of your cell phone. My only critique, is that for absolutely new players, they should be taught that troops and other buildings affect your production. Also, I was told by Ally in the game that disabling barracks conserved resources, which is something I don't know. So a separate "training mode" for referencing would be great. Same with knowing that if you declare a war, it decreases moral.
