Very upset😠

I was so happy I found DailyPrompt at first because it was motivating me to write everyday. I was doing great! I would give a great review, but because of an email I received from them, my thoughts completely changed. First of all, I am a true Christian and I love God a lot for he has made an impact in my life in so many ways. I include God and Angels in my writings because of the inspiration they have in my life. They told me that my writings were in violation with their platform because I OPENLY TALKED ABOUT GOD AND INCLUDED GOD IN MY WRITINGS!!! THESE PEOPLE WHO OWN DailyPrompt SAID THAT I COULD NOT TALK ABOUT GOD AND SHARE MY VIEWS ABOUT HIM IN MY WRITINGS!! I WILL NOT SUPPORT AN APP THAT DOESN’T LET PEOPLE TALK ABOUT GOD IN A STORY. Very sad.. what happened to FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND RELIGION? All I have to say is WOW!! For the record, GOD KNOWS ALL AND SEES ALL. And developers, fyi.. tell people ahead of time that you all don’t support religion. It’s a shame I really liked your app too, but I am going to tell everyone I can not to support your app because of your views on God. I say this so people don’t waste their time and energy creating a beautiful piece if they shall and they are motivated like I was just to find out that I did all this work for nothing. 😠

Looks Good, Not for Me

Let me start off by saying DailyPrompt looks and functions very well. It’s obvious a lot of thought and effort went into creating it. The offered features are great and if DailyPrompt sounds like something you could benefit from, it almost definitely is. However:

If you do not pay for the full version, it is more or less useless. Not that it’s a bad thing to have paid features, and it is almost certainly worth the money to most, but I was a little surprised when I installed DailyPrompt , only to be immediately prompted to pay to access the features I wanted. Wish that had been made clearer from the outset, or have DailyPrompt just cost money from the start. I’m disappointed, but if paying a subscription for something like this is what your after this is DailyPrompt for you.

Love it!! Few things I’m confused about though

I love DailyPrompt! Great inspiration to keep up with daily writing, and the prompts are always interesting. One thing I’m a bit confused about is that every time I refresh DailyPrompt , the daily personalized prompt changes, which is really inconvenient when it refreshes randomly like apps sometimes do. I don’t know if this is a purposeful feature that I just don’t like, or if this is a bug that needs fixing. Either way, I’m not a huge fan of this aspect but I like DailyPrompt in general. Another thing is that when I go to delete things, it sometimes freezes up and won’t let me delete, and it’s really annoying. I had my mom download DailyPrompt and it’s happening to her too. Overall, though, really fun app that encourages writing!

Great feature. A few suggestions

To start, I’ve only rated it four stars because I’ve only just started using it. First of all, I’m not sure if you’re able to see when someone posted a story, but if that’s not a thing, I’d love to see it! Second of all, I’d like to see at least one more daily prompt without it being premium. I get that being able to see more is premium, but even have just one more could help so many other authors spark more creativity, like me, as I am quite picky with my prompts. I also don’t see a way to edit your prompt interests?? I wanna be able to take away or add to my interests as they change, so I don’t have to be stuck with a daily prompt I don’t like. Again, I’ve only just started using it, so I might not have seen all of the features.
I must say, I do love the ability to write your own prompts, as it can spark even more creativity and make DailyPrompt appealing to others! I also love how the discussion and and feedback feature is not premium, I think it’s really useful!
I really like DailyPrompt so far, these are simply friendly suggestions to make it even better!

Confused?

First of all, I loved DailyPrompt. It’s definitely opened up my mind to ideas and I’ve already created a story that I’m very proud of within the first day of having DailyPrompt.

However, I’m a bit confused on how I get my stories posted. I wrote a story for today’s prompt, but the only option it gives me once I was done was to save my draft. It won’t let me click the next button, and I figured it was probably because I had just gotten the premium feature, and in doing so I had written triple the amount of word limit set for non-premium users. That’s honestly a problem in itself, considering I did get premium so it shouldn’t be stopping me from hitting next. Not to mention, when I go to open the draft, it says I’ve passed the word limit and I need to get premium, and when I click get premium, it tells me I already have it. So I’m really just confused as to what I should do, I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but whatever it is I’d just like a little clarification. I do like DailyPrompt though.

Seems like a pretty good app. 😊

I just wrote my very first prompt. I was surprised of how inspired I felt with the prompt they gave me even though it was pretty basic and simple. I was a little disappointed that there isn’t an option to not allow feedback at all. I’m pretty young and I don’t have any social media and my mom doesn’t like me having an app that people can comment on my work. I’d like if there was an option to share your work for others to read without the option for others to give you feedback/comments. If you don’t allow people to give feedback, you just can’t post publicly, which is kinda the reason I got DailyPrompt , so it’s a little disappointing. Please consider making a “no feedback” option, not just, “I’d prefer no feedback”. Thank youuu. Good app over all! I highly recommend for whoever can have social media and is ok with feedback.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

There’s so much to say about Writing Prompts - Daily. I use it almost everyday, multiple times in a day, just writing to my hearts content. This is an amazing app. I really only have positive things to say about it. For those who love writing, this is perfect for you! The community is so encouraging and sweet. It’s BEYOND rare to ever come across someone who’s unkind. I have over 100 writings and I’ve had DailyPrompt for maybe a year now?? The prompts are amazing, as well. If you are interested in hearing about any subscriptions, they do have some. If you don’t have premium, you can only use prompts they give to you daily, you will not have Free Write, ad there will be a 2,000 word limit for the writings you submit, as well as a limit on how many competitions you can enter into for a cash prize of 100 dollars. Of course, there is a way to get premium without having to pay every month or so. You can pay 47 dollars for a lifetime of premium membership. A LIFETIME. They don’t lie. Is there anything else to say?? —I know there is, but I’m trying to make this as short as possible haha (I love writing, so I have a tendency to make things longer than the original intent). Have a good day/night! Please give Writing Prompts a chance because it will not disappoint! Trust me, the experience is even better than the pictures ad comments portray!

The best there is!

I want to start off by saying, I didn't have very high expectations for DailyPrompt. I figured it would be one of those apps that wasn't actually what it advertised...

I couldn't have been more wrong.

The Daily Prompt app is SOOO good!! I went from being completely stuck in the bog of writers block, to crafting a brand new Fantasy story simply from the prompts it offers!
I finally feel like I've written something original, and fun, that will keep my readers longing for more!
I really hope to publish it someday, and if I do, it'll dedicated to the Daily Prompt Team!

If I had to make a suggestion... I'd love it if non-members didn't have a 750 word limit... I understand that it's motivation for people to become members, but as a teenager, it's simply not something I can do right now :,(

If the word limit could be upgraded to 1,000 or more... I would LOVE it!! If not, I understand :)

DailyPrompt has truly changed my whole writing experience, and I will ALWAYS use Daily Prompt to reignite my imagination!

God Bless! 🤍

Thoroughly Recommend!

I started using DailyPrompt to get in a habit of writing more frequently and this has really pulled through. It’s easy to use, there are a vast number and variety of prompts to pick through, and the community itself has been lovely! I love being able to search for certain types of prompts or writings, see what other people have written and provide feedback, and especially be able to practice an ever-evolving craft. The people running DailyPrompt take and implement feedback regularly, and seem to be always looking to improve what they already have going. Try it out, really invest, and enjoy!

Really like it BUT one flaw or rather glitch!

It is a great app! It’s easy to operate and understand, the writing community is nice and very helpful! The daily prompt do not disappoint and is always testing my creativity. There is also a notification bell that can show you who liked, commented or followed you, very nice to have. But the only problem I am experiencing is that I cannot see one of my writings. I have seen that many have liked and commented on it but I cannot see it. Whenever I click on what the person liked or commented on all I see is nothing, just the prompt. I REALLY hope the developers fix this glitch, if I am the only one experiencing it.

Almost Perfect

I love writing as a hobby, but I hate looking for prompts online. Never found what I was looking for, until a friend suggested DailyPrompt. I immediately fell in love. The prompts are high quality, the free version doesn’t feel like it’s overly restrictive (premium is great! but you don’t need it right away), and the community is really awesome. I always ask for feedback, and found people complimenting aspects I was concerned about, so it’s helped my confident as a writer. And do read other people’s work! It’s worth it. And today I was featured for the first time, which I wasn’t expecting and so excited about! DailyPrompt can always be improved, but it’s doing all the right things.

Love this!

LOVE DailyPrompt, no joke. Everything about this experience is worth your time, even the people here! I honestly thought this was gonna be as low as my expectations expected it to be, but thats just not the case.
You are able to let your imagination run absolutely wild with DailyPrompt, whether it be on a writing prompt, or just a prompt you gave yourself. You can explore others peoples works, comment or like it, and are able to bookmark your favorite writings!
You can even enter competitions— and its honestly so much better to see for yourself.
Truthfully, DailyPrompt is just amazing for people who wanna start out small, and you’ll even meet the most amazing people on here who will cheer you on!

Best Writing App!!

DailyPrompt is incredible!! You are able to build up your writing skills and creativity all through a single app. The community is very supportive and friendly to everyone! Something I’m a bit mad about is how your writing gets banned if it’s off-prompt, and then you can’t write to publish for an entire day! I worked really hard on something, just to realize it was off-prompt and for it to get banned. Please don’t ban it entirely. Or maybe make the write to publish thing shorter. That is literally the only problem I have with DailyPrompt. It may make up most of this review, but in reality it’s just a small problem. I still love DailyPrompt , and I will continue using it for a long time. Thank you.

Just one suggestion!

I love DailyPrompt so much! I get so excited when I open DailyPrompt to discover what prompt I’ll get that day. I’ve been writing and exploring different topics that I may not have even considered before, which is both exciting and a wonderful learning experience for me as an aspiring writer.

The only suggestion I have that I would love to see is if there was an option to categorize writings as Historical Fiction. I know that there are various genres you can choose from to tag your writings with, but if Historical Fiction can be an option in the future, I would be ecstatic—it’s a genre that I enjoy reading and wouldn’t mind writing a few pieces of myself.

Thank you so much for making such an amazing app! Keep it up! ❤️

An oasis for writers…

I've been using the Daily Prompt app for about two months, and it's become one of my favorite tools for writing. DailyPrompt is beautifully structured and so easy to navigate, which makes it perfect for diving right into the creative process. The layout is intuitive, and I can find everything I need without any hassle.

Even though I am not writing as much as I would like, the writing competitions are a huge highlight for me since they provide the challenge that keeps me motivated to write more and to stay focused on the task (story or poem) at hand. The variety of prompts is inspiring and there's always something new and thought-provoking to explore.

What I really love is how DailyPrompt creates a dedicated space just for writing. It feels like a welcoming home for writers, where I can explore different styles and ideas. For anyone looking to develop their writing skills or just to find a comfortable, inspiring environment to write, Daily Prompt is the perfect tool.

Very Helpful and Responds Quickly

I downloaded Daily Prompt back maybe four weeks ago and had chosen to receive both written and visual prompts. Since then I wanted to change to just receive visuals. I sent an email and within a few hours I received an email back. My preferences were able to be changed and I was made aware of a bug on my account that I hadn’t realized and that was fixed as well!

I highly recommend DailyPrompt. It is fun and creative and easy to use. The prompts are very engaging and have given me many ideas! You’re also cared about and will be helped if and when you need it. It is obvious the founder of Daily Prompt cares about those who use it and that is something you don't see much of anymore.

Get this now if you love to write or want to try!

BEST EVER! But a few questions.

This is so awesome but being a user of DailyPrompt , I noticed that the competitions last another two days of voting even after the next competition of the week is released. Are we still able to enter a story in the two days or is that just for elongated voting purposes?
Also, this has happened to me a few times but when writing a draft and you are almost done but you want to get back to it later, I sometimes press the X button instead of ‘Save Draft.’ This has happened quite a few times and it really frustrates me, is there anyway you can maybe fix that so it saves anyway? Overall this is an awesome app and everyone that participates is an amazing writer and I love the design of it where we can all help build each other up in our writing by commenting and leaving a like. Well done to the people who made it possible.

Best Writing App Ever

Browsing around DailyPrompt Store for great writing apps has been a long mission for me. There are those really expensive apps that you can never afford, those cheap apps that doesn't do anything but take your money, and free apps that doesn't even solve the problems, or fit the needs, that you're looking for. However, Daily Prompt has been meeting those every needs.

• It has a small, but helpful community

• It has contest writings to improve your weaknesses in your stories

• people are always looking to see what you write

• There are thousands of prompts to choose from

• You are able to get critical feedback from others when needed/wanted

What more can you ask for? Daily Prompt has been super helpful with getting my stories out there. And now, I can set a goal for myself to write a little something every day. I'm so looking forward in seeing how amazing DailyPrompt will improve, and you should too. It is not like any app that I've seen in either a long time, or ever. Daily Prompt is the writing app you need.

If I can suggest anything for help DailyPrompt along, I would like to have a setting where you can set your own writing goals, and DailyPrompt will be able to accommodate you based on how specific the goal is. So instead of trying to write everyday, you can set a goal to write three days a week, or write twenty stories per month. I think that would be really awesome. <3

Helped me find my passion

I’ve loved creative writing pretty much since I knew how to write, but I’ve always struggled to find my niche- I struggle to finish longer works and often feel dissatisfied with my work…until I discovered DailyPrompt.
Through Daily Prompt, I have discovered a love for poetry and short form writing in general. I feel like I had a hidden talent for poetry that I didn’t know about until now! I have so much fun writing poems about everything from the wacky and silly to the dark and serious. It’s become an outlet for me when I’m struggling and honestly has changed my life. I always look forward to when the new prompt shows up each day. I’m even thinking about compiling a collection of my poetry because of DailyPrompt.
I also really love the community aspect of DailyPrompt . I’ve gotten to interact with some awesome writers, enjoy their work, and get and give feedback. So many talented people on DailyPrompt ! I can’t recommend it enough

Excellent app! Thoughtfully designed features and prompts

Excellent app! Daily Prompt is well designed and has several thoughtful features that encourage and support writers. It is easy to discover prompts, and the quality of prompts is high, with multiple genres to choose from.

Notifications are inspiring, encouraging, and non-intrusive. Daily Prompt runs writing contests that are a lot of fun to participate and the drive a lot of community engagement. I enjoy reading poems and stories from other writers.

Speaking of community. Community members are thoughtful and supportive. It’s easy to follow other writers and DailyPrompt helps you discover writings from writers you follow, and featured pieces. to participate, and fun to read what your fellow writers come up with.

And .. Daily Prompt is continually improving. Recently, an AI assistant is in Beta. Your writing is reviewed and AI provides helpful feedback on how to improve - and recognizes what you’ve done right.

This is an app that I use daily - whether writing or reading pieces, or both. Well done, Daily Prompt!
