When I opened LearnClarinet , I selected that I had clarinet experience. However, it does not respond accordingly and spent a good while teaching me what I had known for years. I.e. the note E. You have to pay $70 per year to unlock more that 5 songs. Totally not worth it unless you want to make that purchase
I’m literally 12 and it says buy this for premium. You need to buy this before you play you can’t get this unless you don’t have premium… you know some people don’t have enough money to pay $32 a month or whatever just to play music on a clarinet… we are literally poor and this was making me so excited until I saw that money😭
It did not hear me at all even though I let it had mic. Access... did not feel like it taught me anything, it just told me if I did good or bad. And of coarse it told me that I was bad every time, but it could not hear me well(I was playing as loud as I could) 😒 and I know that it’s not me because i played every note right, no squeaks, and played in tune. There was some pro’s to it though, the music was pleasing to the ear, and there was no “locked” songs. But I do not recommend LearnClarinet
I downloaded this to get better at my clarinet outside of my music book and honestly I am disappointed. Nothing is free except for one lesson that takes five seconds (The lady is talking in another language with an English voice over top of hers). Also the tuner doesn’t work very well either. It works okay-ish just not well enough to actually tune my clarinet. Also the subscription price is over 100 dollars a year. I am sorry but there is no way I can afford that.🙁 The challenges are fun so I can give two stars for that. Honestly if can afford it I recommend trying it.
I have tried LearnClarinet, and if find it very promising to use with some of my students who struggle with being motivated to practice - turning into more of a video game, as well as telling them visually what error they made is useful. I do wish there was bass clarinet, bassoon, and oboe, as well.
LearnClarinet is quite useful. However want to be able to learn things for FREE. And only the lessons, nothing else. Other than that, LearnClarinet is fine.
I’d definitely recommend this to other new/experienced players, but there is a limited amount of songs you can play. Since I’m restricted to only spending $0, I was thinking that maybe you guys could add more free songs. Maybe you could add modern-y songs such as some TikTok songs (if possible). If so, that would be great!
Truly helped me be more aware of what I am sounding like and how I should be able to perform to be more accurate on certain rhythms! The only thing I wish for, is that it would play the piece for me. Or it would play what I just played to help me know where I am wrong and how to fix it.
It is a nice little app that gives good feedback about your playing right away and is good for having music to practice. I don’t like that you have a limited amount of free use of LearnClarinet per day, however.
I would really recommend it if you play it is really good and it doesn’t glitch it really helps I’m in six grade and this really helps I would really recommend it it takes it through step by step how to do it and once you level up takes you to your level of playing depending on your experience if you want to play a certain song just play the song and it will listen and then it will tell you if you are right or wrong on the notes🥰
It better that a teacher screaming at you every time you get something wrong and it actually tells you if your in tune
So LearnClarinet has been very pleasant to use, but it keeps crashing? I don’t know what’s happening. I’m having fun practicing new pieces and sight reading but sometimes I click the play the button and it just freezes. There’s no way to fix it while on LearnClarinet . I have to close LearnClarinet and reopen it every time. Other than that, it’s a very good app. It’s not really something for learning, which isn’t bad. It’s more for feedback. I haven’t experienced any of the problems that other users are facing, just the minor glitch. Thank you lots for LearnClarinet.
I went through the first batch of lessons and keep seeing a “more coming soon” it’s been almost two weeks. When is “soon”?
This game helps me a lot and it’s very confronting and this is coming from a 11 year old clairnet player who started playing 2 Weeks ago ! The teachers are also super nice and this game is not expensive at all !!
You see I didn’t go for like 3 to 4 days to my band class and I don’t have friends in the class and I do not know how to play A EAnd now I know how to I feel like this is a good app for beginners
I quit playing clarinet after 8th grade because I was not a fan of the high school band director and band class in general was stressful for me. Even though I loved the instrument. I’m now in my master’s program and I pulled out my clarinet for the first time since the end of 8th grade!!
I absolutely love having the opportunity to learn at my own pace, get instant personal feedback, and find love for my clarinet again. I get to really focus when I’m playing. Even though I usually only have time to play the 10 minutes daily challenge every day. When I’m done I can clean my instrument and not have to think about rushing to my next class lol. The things I hated about band are taken away here and I get to just be personal with my instrument and learn on my own.
Very very thankful for LearnClarinet. Worth the money for sure!
I started playing clarinet a couple months ago and I realized I’m not doing as good as I want to so I downloaded LearnClarinet as a plan to get better. I hope it helps a lot because it seems like a good quality app. Thanks for helping app makers!
As a former clarinet player, I’m so thrilled to be able to relearn with such ease. I enjoy the fact that the tone is played while you learn. Other apps you simply select the right note-never knowing what it sounds like! Also LearnClarinet gives you actual information. Not just note recognition. It’s really a great app!
Woodwinds and Brass have almost nothing to help them in regard to music lesson apps. LearnClarinet shows you sheet music, hears you play, tunes you, has a full campaign set up by skill level and even allows you to share your progress online via social media! I am happy to use this for clarinet. Note: LearnClarinet does NOT teach technique. Pair this with a real-life teacher or at the very least, an online Udemy class for your instrument.
This is my first day of trying LearnClarinet but I play clarinet for 7th grade band so my mom told me about LearnClarinet cuz she is such a great mom and wants me to progress in my clarinet learning. So I just recently got LearnClarinet and started using it and your first note that you learn is note g and when you play you can choose practice or perform which always press practice first so you can know how it works. And then when you first practice is it will give you a countdown. There are about 4 quarter rests at the beginning and then you’ll start playing with the count down. And then once you press perform and you perform at the end it’ll give you a certain amount of stars and it will tell you like how your tone was and all that jazz but LearnClarinet is really great and I hope that all of y’all have a great day ☺️
👉👈 I’m also gonna recommend LearnClarinet to all of my clarinet class
