Concept great need to work bugs out

My friend asked me to download Vizer as his college friends developed it, I believe. The concept of donating meals for working out sounded great...why not, right? Two issues I have: 1) you have to open Vizer every day for ur “movements” to register and 2) I use a Garmin and the link up with Apple Health was no accurate at all. For instance yday I took 20k steps and it only captured 9.5k so no meal was donated. I passed this feedback on to my friend who in turn sent it to the developer and i know they know of the issues and are feverishly working to make Vizer better and more user friendly. I remain a user and guinea pig and hope the kinks are worked out

Nice idea, the app could use some work...

It’s a great incentive to stay active, however Vizer itself could use a lot of work. It’s very glitchy at times. I don’t know how many times I get network errors or script errors, I get reminders when there’s a few hours left in the day even though I already donated my meal for the day, when I open Vizer I get multiple notifications that I’ve reached my activity but I don’t get those notifications before actually opening Vizer which kind of defeats the purpose. But, I still use it and it’s kept me active for over a month now so the benefits outweigh the glitches.

Good but fix notifications

I like Vizer generally, think the purpose and donation is great, and the notification I get asking whether I’ve met my goals and to remind me to donate if so is perfectly. But I hate that whenever I personally go to open Vizer because I DO already have 30 minutes or 10K steps, it then sends me a notification after the fact - “congrats on hitting X, open Vizer to donate”. And I get 1-2 of those in a row. It’s like, yes, I got it, that’s why I opened Vizer in the first place so why are you sending me these messages now? It’s a useless notification and pretty annoying. I use a Fitbit if that helps.

Good concept

I think this is a great concept to do some good with activity most of us are likely already doing, and Vizer is straightforward in use. However, as others have said it would be cool to get more information about the donations like which food banks they’re going to. Also, every time I try to nominate my local gym to join as a partner in Vizer , the submit function never works. I start typing the name and it appears in the auto fill, but when I click on it it doesn’t work. I think this is a bug that needs to be fixed, or I need another way to suggest a gym.

*Most recent update has you adding your city to find local partners, but it makes me do this every time I log into Vizer , and there is no way to exit this screen without making a selection. Also, like with trying to suggest a gym, the selection function doesn’t always work, so you’re stuck on that screen and unable to log.

Awesome App- Wish the Meal Donation felt more personal

I love Vizer and this concept. I live in TX but not being able to qualify for the local rewards stuff still isn’t a problem for me. What I wish Vizer had was the ability to make you feel a little more connected to the meal you “donated”? Maybe additional information of how many meals were also donated that day would help? It would be cool to know what the meal was if that makes sense? It’s hard to remember to log my workouts because I’m still struggling to make the connection that by working out I am helping donate a meal. Anything that pulls back the curtains for us a little would be so meaningful.

Regardless, I believe as Vizer grows in popularity it will have a lot more features. I’m excited to see the growth of Vizer.

Cool concept

I initially downloaded Vizer purely for the concept, which is unique and inspiring on its own. I feel so much better about my workouts knowing I’m also helping make a difference by donating a meal to those in need. I didn’t realize there was more to Vizer like getting rewarded by businesses as well. Unfortunately, there are no businesses in my area at all that are involved at this point, so I have been unable to test that part out. I am still using Vizer for the sole reason I downloaded it: to donate meals after a workout. I wish that Vizer could sync up to past workouts in case I forget to log onto Vizer that day and donate. I also hope they build more relationships with businesses all over.

Great and huge potential!

I love the mission behind Vizer and how the users know the partner company (Chobani for example) that is providing the meal to the food distributed (Feeding America for example). I would like to know more information about how this works and also more information about the background of this app.

In terms of how Vizer functions, I would like to see a broader range of gyms you partner with. I live in a small town so I understand why my small gym doesn’t show up on your radar. I also don’t have a FitBit or Apple Watch so I’m using Vizer solely off my phone tracking steps which works well enough. However, I get 30 active minutes almost every day but I’m not able to donate a meal that much because the current range doesn’t accept my gym as a partner and tracking active minutes with my current platform isn’t feasible. All in all, I have the capability to be donating a lot more meals and I would love to do so! I would to see a way for your team to expand these options!

Great App/Some improvements needed

I love Vizer, especially great for my active lifestyle. I would really love to see a connection with Garmin since I have a watch and use that to track all of my exercises. My Garmin does connect to Apple Health, but always seems to glitch (steps are never accurate and 30 minutes workouts don’t convert under the same label). I have done multiple 30 minute runs, but don’t hit 10,000 steps so my activity is not counted. Yesterday I hit about 11,000 steps on my Garmin, but Apple Health only had 9,700 so I had to walk around my apt to hit the last 300. That’s my only complaint. Otherwise I am satisfied.

Good for you, good for the community!

I downloaded Vizer because I was looking for an easy way to give back to the community and it’s perfect! After signing up for free, I stick my phone in my pocket and it does everything else. I feel really good about accomplishing my goal at the end of the day and having a meal donates has surprisingly been really motivating for me to take multiple long walks per day. Definitely get Vizer! You’ll feel like a better human at the end of each day.

Download and donate!

It’s that EASY! I can’t think of a better way to motivate yourself to continue to live a healthy lifestyle by exercising 30 minutes per day or getting 10k steps and donating a meal to our local foodbank. I’ve been using Vizer since March after hearing about it through OTF. Seeing my meal donations add up, is positive reinforcement to keep moving! Looking forward to redeeming my food reward points too! Congrats on hitting over 175k meal donations! That’s a huge impact and needed during these trying times! Congrats on expanding your circle of influence nationwide too!

“No Brainer” way to give back

I am enjoying using the this app App because it’s a “no brainer” way to give back. I’m already working out everyday, and tracking my progress on my Apple Watch watch. It only takes a few seconds to sync with my watch and donate a meal to someone who needs it. All by hitting 10, 000 steps or doing a 30 minute work out. The added bonus is that you feel good for working out and also giving back. You have an added incentive to hit those goals because you know someone else will benefit. It’s a win win!

Vizer makes doing good things easy

If you’re already working out, this is a no-brainer. 30 minutes of tracked activity allows you to donate a meal to someone in need.

If you aren’t working out yet, this may offer you just the motivation you need. All you need to do is track 30 minutes of activity, advisor allows you to donate a sponsored meal to someone in need. It doesn’t need to be running or walking, although 10,000 steps will automatically qualify you to donate that meal. It’s just 30 minutes of any tract activity via Apple Watch or other activity tracker.

Great Cause and good for me too

I don’t remember where I saw a note about this app, perhaps Huffington post or morning brew, newsletters I get each day via email. I am so glad I joined just a few days ago. I have gotten in more than 10,000 steps each of those days and has given away 11 meals in 11 days so far. There is absolutely no downside. If you need an incentive to walk 10,000 steps or more, the website will help you there. I did not need that incentive because I do it anyway. But being able to help provide food and especially critical need in the pandemic and with all the in equity. Makes me feel really good. So glad Vizer is available. I highly recommend it. My daughter joined right after me and I am putting it on my husband’s phone as well. Will tell all my friends about it too.

Great cause + Awesome motivator!

I love this concept so much that I got a fitbit specifically so that I could track my steps since I rarely have my phone on me! It’s not perfect, but what technology is? It’s amazing how much a little motivation goes a long way! My partner and I regularly end our days with a jog around the house to get our remaining steps when we’ve had slower days or our step tracking has gone awry. I appreciate that it’s easier to get all of my steps in when there is an added incentive for others! I’ve been telling everyone I know to use Vizer !

Great program for the community and me

this app is an innovative app that allows me to be “awarded” for daily exercise while being rewarded by sponsoring meals through generous donors for hungry people in my community. It requires nothing more of me other than logging in so the this app system syncs with my health tracker each day. If I walk 10,000 steps or exercise 30 minutes, a meal is donated! It is motivating for me to get moving and I love seeing the daily total of meals donated! And at one time, when I had a problem with the site not syncing, I notified the developers and they fixed it within 48 hours. I wish everyone would sign onto this app!*

Helps my community & holds me accountable!

this app is such a simple addition to an active lifestyle. Even better, it costs you no money, just sweat! I love that you now have the option to either hit 10k steps or 30 active minutes a day to donate a meal. Vizer definitely holds me accountable with working out knowing that my workouts help feed people in my community. I’ve never redeemed my rewards but it’s so great to see small businesses in San Diego supporting this cause!
Vizer itself is very straightforward, user friendly and has seamless integration with Apple Watch. I just wish there was some sort of daily push notification reminding me to log.

Suggestions

First off I want to say that I love Vizer. It actually communicates with my Apple Watch with no known unexpected behaviors occurring. I love their mission to feed the hungry just by doing something I do everyday for free. With that being said I have two suggestions. 1. Accumulate the Apple Watch data so that we can go in Vizer days later and donate, just in case we forget that day . 2. Give us an option to donate to animal shelters . People love animals as much as humans , maybe even more lol! Animal shelters are in desperate need of food and supplies and this would be a great way to help them. Anyways these are my suggestion, keep up the great work :)

Workout motivation and Helping others

I just learned about this company and my experience so far is fantastic. When a participant works out 30 minutes or 10,000 steps, a company donates a meal through Feeding America to someone in need. What a fabulous concept. I am so happy to participate and it has given me a little extra motivation to get my workouts in. I shared this with one of the trainers at the YNCA where I work out and she signed up and is going to share with her clients too. The company had reached out to me several times since I started and made me feel like part of a great community too. I highly recommend participating.

BEST APP!!

I have been using this app for a while now (almost 300 meals donated!) and I am obsessed! I tell everyone who will listen to download Vizer , I think it’s such an amazing concept that I truly believe in. I’m a nurse and most of us hit 10k steps on a normal work day so why not give back to our community in the process. I’ve been through many updates with this app and Vizer keeps getting better and better. The “current streak” feature always motivates me to get a workout in when I’m feeling lazy. My only suggestion is to broaden the places to redeem the points. It seems like most options are in north county and I live all the way in la Mesa so I always forget to use those points. But it always seems like they are adding new sponsors so I love that. Thanks this app!

Helping Others Through Vizer

The Viser app provides an easy way, at no cost to you, to help communities in need by donating a meal on a daily basis. For a long time, prior to Vizer, I have been reaching the daily goal of 10,000 steps or 30 minutes of activity anyway. Finding out about the community benefits of Vizer while expending energy to stay healthy and at the same time help an individual receive the daily nourishment a lot of us take for granted is a WIN-WIN. No better feeling at the end of the day to hit the donate button knowing someone who is hungry will receive a much needed meal.

Such a great concept!

Love Vizer and being able to give back to my community by simply working out. Who needs more motivation than that to get moving?!

One feature that would be helpful is a push notification from Vizer when you’ve hit a goal asking if you want to donate. I’ve met my goal almost everyday since downloading Vizer , but I’ve definitely forgotten to date on a few occasions. A friendly reminder would be great!

Motivated.... You bet! How about you?

Have you been looking app that motivates you to get in shape, or just workout for 30 minutes everyday. Have you been looking for a way to donate meals to those in need? Well lucky for us the this app app does both. I absolutely LOVE that for every 30 minute workout I do or I get 10,000 steps in my day that a meal will be donated to those that are need of it. Thank you to this app app for making this possible and for me ready to get in shape. God Bless and lets “make hunger sweat”!

BEST APP!

I’ve been using Vizer for well over a month now, and it is so motivating to workout, because I know that once I finish, I will be able to help combat hunger in America! Vizer is so easy to use. The only thing I wish they had on Vizer was a reminder to notify you when you have an available meal to donate, because sometimes I forget to go into Vizer after a workout. Overall, I LOVE this app and highly recommend downloading it!
