Hate this game!!!!!

This is the worst game ever. I’m pretty sure that “easy” has been coded so you can’t win. What I noticed the most is that the computer will have a run from the 20 card pile like 5 straight. And then you get stuck with cards you can’t possibly play because you can’t ever get them out of your hand. I have literally played over 20 games and watched what happens. There is no point in having a medium game if you can’t win on easy. Get it together people. I won’t buy the game because there is no chance that you can ever beat the other levels. Good luck trying to get money from consumers who want an enjoyable game and would like to win every once in a while. And yes I have won some games, but the way the computer “plays” is absolutely ridiculous.

Not Enough Features

I’ve played alot of games, none that leave the player with no in play options. I’ve played 4 times this morning and finished 1 game. It seems that people know that if they’re losing just don’t play and eventually the opponent will forfeit. That happened to me this morning. I could sit there all day and wait or I forfeit. It costs me 600 in chips and it’s very annoying. There should be an option for a player to request the game be over. Either play or forfeit.

I have an IPad and a Galaxy and I play on both, this is no exaggeration, the game on my iPad has been waiting for the opponent to play for 30 minutes. I refuse to lose my chips again. I’m sure they went out to cut the grass or maybe shower, who knows. I’m playing on my Galaxy so I’ll just wait it out this time.

In my opinion, this game is a waste of my time!

Unrealistic Play Experience

This game was one of my favorite card games until about 7 mins ago when I accidentally started a game on the hard difficulty. Usually there is some type of struggle in there but I found myself being completely annihilated by a cpu that was popping out of the wood-work with wilds left and right. Seeing as though I was dealt 0 and the cpu had been dealt at least six mid game, I ultimately came to the conclusion of it being developed poorly and decided it be best to part ways.

Good up to a point, ready to delete

I like the basic idea of the game and the layout of this developer’s version. It’s all fine until you hit the Hard version of any of the games, and that’s where you lose me. The algorithm feeds the computer extremely long strands of play that are unrealistic. If you were playing a real person, that person wouldn’t be able to play 12-15 cards in a play multiple times in the course of a round. It might happen once or twice. In reality, most plays are going to involve being able to play 4-8 cards if the player is skilled and using good strategies.

As a skilled player, I want to know I have a decent chance of being able to win a game. With SpiteMalice, I’m lucky if I win 45% of the time at the Hard level and I keep watching the computer get these completely unrealistic long strings of cards to play when I can only play 2-4 of the cards in my hand. It feels rigged.

Fix the algorithm, please. I did pay to reduce/remove adds.

Time to kill game

I have been playing this game for several months and it's a good game of you just want to kill some time. The Pros: it's a quick game. The graphics aren't just some pixie stick slapped together looking stuff, they are actually nice to look at. The game is also easy to learn.

Cons: the biggest one is that the game freezes up and you have to forfeit the game to move on. Also, the AI the game stinks. Your opponent will have not played one card, then he gets 10 in a row from his stack. The odds against that happening in a real game is very low.

So all in all if you don't like to lose, a lot! Then this game would be frustrating for you. If you are just playing while waiting somewhere, then it's okay

Playing this game while waiting

I enjoy playing this game and yes I agree with everyone that it’s ridiculous to watch the computer play to win easily or have 20 cards down to 8 cards at one play! It’s reason why I don’t play medium or hard because it’s no way I will win against a computer that plays to win.. Although I play because I enjoy the graphic and the backgrounds. It’s a game for me to play while waiting at the doctor’s office or have time to play. They need to fix the computer system to play nice..

Spite and Malice

I have been playing this game for a long time now. It does seem that the computer has an advantage over me. Looking at my stats shows I can never get ahead of the computer. Which seems unfair. Some games I am blocked and can hardly play at all.

I do think the reward system is unfair also to win 5 but to move on to pay 3 for next challenge makes it hard to collect any points.

So please give us die hards a break! Thanks

Almost perfect

Never played this game until I got SpiteMalice . Took me a few tries to get the hang of it but then I was instantly hooked. It’s kinda like if cribbage and solitaire had a baby.

For the people who claim they can’t even beat easy, I moved to the hard level after I learned the game and I have more wins than losses. The game isn’t difficult but it does take strategy, I’m still discovering new tricks as I go!

The only improvements I would like to see made are 3 things:
1) Why are the unlock-able features in SpiteMalice 500 silver coins? This goes for all games by this developer, as I play many. Because without spending $5 (which is ridiculous?) to unlock, it would take you about 1 year if you played every single day to reach that number of coins. It’s made so you have to spend $$ and it’s slimy.

2) An undo button, at least 2 a game. Too many times has my hand slipped or the screen lagged and a card landed in the wrong pile and I was stuck because there’s no back button.

3) Being able to turn sound completely off on the ads. This needs no explanation

Otherwise I love this game, the graphics, and I definitely recommend it!!

Sound

I love this game except for one thing. I don’t mind having to watch an ad in order to play since SpiteMalice is free but I hate that you can’t always control whether or not there is sound unless you turn the sound off. However I enjoy listening to music or audio book while playing and the ads interrupt and I have to try and stop the sound and restart my music or book. Even worse is while I’m sitting playing at a Drs office after turning the ringer off and forgetting to turn the sound down it comes on in the silence and startles everyone in the room. I would love it if you had the option of turning off all sound on SpiteMalice .

Decent enough game

The graphics are very good which makes it more fun to play, but the AI often gets ridiculous runs of winning which are frustrating and discouraging, since you know there’s no way for you to win or catch up when it deals itself one run after another or the exact thing it needs next. Not a bad way to spend a few minutes here and there though, all things considered.

Problems but basically ok

It’s hard to win unless you play in easy mode. I almost always win in easy mode. Once in a while the computer gets so stacked and goes on these big runs where I can’t play very many cards and vice versa. It’s just rigged to make you win most of the time and lose once in a while so it’s not like playing a real person. There a very few close games. You lose big or win big. Move up to medium and hard and you just can’t win much at all. That’s a bit annoying but I don’t care much. It’s mindless, and for me, that’s kind of the point.

Still has problems but I love it anyway

Sometimes cards are played automatically and sometimes discards are made before I have a chance to make my move to discard. Sometimes the game fails to load our cards and unless you want to forfeit you have to wait quite a few minutes before your given the option of declaring a draw. Sometimes it looks like an opponent can’t be found to start the game and you are given the option of playing the computer. If you choose to play the computer the game starts with a human opponent, not the computer.
Most games run without issues but sometimes there are issues.

I find the most annoying thing is playing someone who takes forever to make a move. Slow opponents. Ack.

Spite

Periodically I change the level of the game because it seems to get less random after awhile. There are times when it’s hard that many of the same number repeatedly come up in the draw. I also dislike when I erroneously touch a card, it goes up, and I cannot undo it. Other than that, I love this game. I used to play it with my grandmother and my mom, but a little differently.

Awesome game

I love spite and malice and this new version brings a lot of amazing features. Not to mention that The AI’s Hard Mode Version is actually very difficult. It also tracks your wins which is great. Please make a leaderboard (globally and for friends) for total wins, easy wins, medium, and hard. For some replay ablility and competitive features. Please keep updating this game!

Great

When I first started playing, I thought the CPU was stacked against me and that wasn’t fun. I lost a lot. I got better over time and then as a test I erased it all and re-loaded, started over. Now I have many more wins than loses. So if you think the game is bad because you lose a lot, it’s really because you play poorly. That being said, there are those games where either you or the CPU get all the best cards and it seems fixed. But that is only once in a while. Have fun! It’s free.

Addicted

Spite & Malice is a game I never played until a friend introduced it to me recently and when I saw SpiteMalice I had to try it since I like other North Sky apps.

I am totally hooked and this is my go-to if I have a few minutes to burn or to check out and decompress. There is some really skullduggery to playing and the hard level is almost impossible so I don’t know if I’ll ever unlock the Expert level.

Kicks Competition to Curb!

This game kicks the doors off the more popular S&M game which progressively adds more and longer ads. In addition, their newest update causes the other app to freeze. This update has very few, very short ads (so far). They don’t try to trick you into buying anything either. This game and the ads respect your silence and do not disturb modes. The competition does not. Happy I found SpiteMalice - very very happy!

Challenging

I am new to this and knew nothing about it before finding SpiteMalice . I like the Rummy game by this company, so I gave it a try. It is tough and takes some getting used to. It took me a few hands to understand how to play even after the instructions. It was a bit frustrating because even on easy, it was kicking my tush. It’s more strategic than you’d think, so it’s not a passive card game. I’m hooked though. If you’re looking for a game with a little challenge, you’ll love it.

Like playing with others

This game is ALMOST perfect. But our family rules are: you cannot use a wild card for Ace or Queen and we get dealt 7 cards instead of 5. Other than that, I love it. One of the kids named it “Spit on Alice” when they were toddlers, and in our family it stuck. The game is not too hard, and not too easy. You do have to be careful. It’s frustrating when a card gets put where you don’t want it, and there is no back up button. It’s a good, fun game.

Like game but computer cheats often

This game is a lot fun. And I truly enjoy it. However when the computer cheats it’s annoying. It will deal extra cards and not discard but even with this I still really enjoy the game.
