Vocal Extractor Reviews

As suggested I extracted first the vocal then tried backing..couldn’t play back either until I made the $2.99 purchase so gave it a try. I re extracted background and tried vocal from a purchased ITunes song at CD quality; it clipped all the mid and upper ranges of the entire song which was a slow ballad. Playback sounded horrible, everything was muffled. If it can’t perform on a simple single voice ballad it certainly can’t do anything else. Total waste of money🤬. Too bad, I was really hoping it worked as advertised and that it would playback at “CD” quality. Look elsewhere as this one is a rip-off.

Just imported and paid 2.99 for the song and it only gives you 1.30 sec of the song. Not sure who to contact as I liked the quality of the song but won’t use again if it only gives you a portion of the song after purchasing it

Once you get to a part of the song where there would have been vocals it gets all garbled and the music itself sounds like it’s under water. I did the in-app purchase hoping it would fix the issue and it hasn’t. It actually hasn’t made any diffrence in anything making me think it’s a lie too. Other responses to reviews say it doesn’t work with all songs. I have yet to find one that it does work with. Total waist of money and time

Ok so for my first to uploads it was amazing. Sure,you could hear muffled voices at a few parts but not too much. However, once I uploaded my third file it just wouldn’t play. I tried exiting out of VocalExtractor , there aren’t any new updates, it just wouldn’t work. There wasn’t even anything different about that file. I also payed the $2.99

It’s decent - however, for some songs when removing the vocals, the instruments get somewhat distorted and inconsistent. It also removes the quality of some of the instruments that are in the same tonal frequency as the voice itself. Decent - could be great.

I really love how well it can remove the vocals or the music from the vocals and how high quality it is. Although, some of the music I’m using works but this one song doesn’t and VocalExtractor keeps crashing everytime I try to extract the song. I don’t know if it’s my phone but please fix it.

Only one question? When I try to export (purchased version) it only saves 1:30. Why is this?

I was skeptical while downloading VocalExtractor , but i had a sudden impulse to try and hear instrumentals of some of my favorites songs, which led me finding VocalExtractor. The UI is straightforward and simple to navigate. I was surprised how accurate it can filter out the vocals with the songs i would input and vice versa. Overall pretty good app to use to hear some of your favorite songs, although I wish I can change the names of .m4a files, since I tried out so many songs i lost track of which file is which.

It cost me $2.99 to buy VocalExtractor . Without a purchase you cannot save any files and you can only sample 1:30 of your song. The extracting algorithm is far from perfect, maybe half of the lyrics sound distorted. The screen resolution of VocalExtractor is really small for my iPad. With all this in mind I’m still happy with my purchase because it is so easy to use and there is a lot of things you can do with a tool like this. I would give 5 stars if they could increase the quality of the vocals.

VocalExtractor helped me to remove vocals to record a song for a birthday celebration. While you could still hear a bit of a whistle tune during some parts of the song, overall I would say it was worth it to pay for.

After purchasing the 2.99, I was supposed to be able to save the full length music to my phone. Not only is it only saved into the internal folder of VocalExtractor with no option to download, the export button is permanently grayed out. Then I realized VocalExtractor cannot work on any music bought from the iTunes store, which is basically my entire music library.

I used VocalExtractor to make recordings to practice with through Covid when I could’ve work with my accompaniment. It does a very nice job but often will leave a few notes or hard consonants in the track. I have found running the piece through a second time can diminish this but will also degrade the quality of the track. It is an amazing too for the price!

VocalExtractor really does work in fact it’s the only one that has worked. Although with some songs you can still just slightly hear the vocals but even with that one flaw it’s definitely worth it. I bet that the creators of VocalExtractor could improve VocalExtractor and make it close to perfect if not perfect, but overall great app.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Even though there is a very faint subtlety of instrumental in the vocals and vocals in the instrumentals, it’s sooo faint and barely noticeable. For being as easy and simple (and fast) to process, it’s awesome. Download it and test it out for free. And if you dig the results, it only costs a couple bucks to unlock all features.

I tried several apps online and tried on some expensive software to make some karaoke. This is the best you can buy. The author is a genius and I think the karaoke is at least 90% quality as the original. Please support this guy and you won’t be disappointed. Thanks for the amazing work.

I’m going to find this a very useful tool for listening to songs and understanding the chord structure and arrangement. It’s also helpful for me to listen to my demos and see if the melody is really strong on its own. I hope you continue to refine VocalExtractor .

So I was confused for a moment but when I hit the guitar it actually removed the vocals (which no others do like they say they do) and I was so excited. Thanks so much!

VocalExtractor works well, and the maker has been very responsive and helpful when I had questions. While generally the instructions are clear and easy to follow, the upgrade instructions could be a bit clearer. Anyway I am happy with VocalExtractor , and with the fact that the maker cares about his customers.

This is one of my all time fav apps -- its not 100% perfect but id say a solid 97%--- but its light years better than any other app that attempts the same thing ... thanks !

I am actually completely blind, and I am very greatful that VocalExtractor is compatible with voiceover, so thank you for that. There is just one problem,. Every time I try to remove the vocals from a track,, it works, but the track stops entirely at one point. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Just updated to the paid version. VocalExtractor is about as good as it gets for separating instrumentals from vocals. I have tried many others and this one is tops. It’s not 100% perfect (I would say about 96% 😀)— there is occasional cross-over but it is mild and far overshadowed by VocalExtractor ’s overall performance.

Here is an update after several more months of use. VocalExtractor is the bomb. Still crushing it. It is a superb, effective and magical app.
