Robo Spam Text Call Blocker Reviews

I downloaded RoboSpamTextCallBlocker because I made the mistake of filling out an inquiry about a HELOC. I receive calls every 5-10 minutes. Sometimes more frequently. Hop full, I Followed instructions. The calls just kept coming in with no difference. I contacted support. I basically have to go in and manually spoof calls. This is useless because they will just call from another random number. RoboSpamTextCallBlocker is useless. Don’t download it.

Make that Zero customer support.
Have had this for 8 months and it has blocked ZERO calls.
The standard setup in the iPhone IOS or you can forward unknown callers to your voicemail.
This works much better in my opinion than RoboSpamTextCallBlocker.
I've had RoboSpamTextCallBlocker for eight months now, I bought a subscription for $20
And I am letting it expire without renewal because there is no get your money back.
I contacted them several times asking for help and I got nothing back.
Nothing
Very disappointed and I feel like I was ripped off.
The only function I ever used was looking up the numbers that I blocked myself to see what they were, and even that functions very weak.
FYI I am running an iPhone 12 mini, and I keep it updated to the very latest iOS from Apple. Currently as of June 2024, 17.5.1

I don't like leaving a negative feedback, but for $20 and no help and no refund path, I felt like I had to make and say something.
I hope nobody else has lost $20.

I paid for the “Pro” version , and every time I start it (it says it will take “a few minutes “ to enter all the numbers up to 250,000. But it runs for hours and hours,,and then suddenly quits and goes back to the minimal number.I have tried re-starting it at least 10 times, and my patience is gone. In stead of protecting us from spam and scams, I think it IS a scam. And I’m sure I will never get my money back. Everyone beware. I will change the review only if1) someone helps me get this working as promised, or 2) they refund my money. I’m not going to hold my breath.

Doesn’t seem to work. It hasn’t caught any of the spam calls coming to my phone. All it does is block the numbers you tell it to block, which I could do myself with my phone settings. The problem is, spammers can use any number. Does this actually block ROBO or phishing calls, as in, calls sent out by random numbers to masses? Doesn’t seem so. And it wants me to turn off my ad blocker on my internet browser. Why?

Ok so at first glance I was amazed! All of those neighbor spoofing calls I was getting were gone! Completely wiped out. Also the daily 6am wake up call from overseas. But a few days later, I noticed that I wasn’t getting any calls. Not only that, but friends started to email me asking why I was not picking up my phone. RoboSpamTextCallBlocker is blocking every call that comes through. From my doctors office to my friends and family. They get blocked. I do not see a setting and no one has responded to my email asking for help yet that I sent two days ago. I guess I’m out $20.

My first complaint about RoboSpamTextCallBlocker was the amount of input needed to enable functionality. I input received spam phone numbers as requested, until getting a reply that I’d reached the maximum number allowed (complaint #2)! The effectiveness of RoboSpamTextCallBlocker steadily decreased, to the point of becoming nearly worthless (complaint #3). If you have time to kill, and $20 to blow- get it.

Installed program last week. Number of spammers per day may be increasing. No way to push button and list as spammer. Have to write down number and turn around and renter it. Getting multiple calls for vehicle repair insurance and purported government agencies that are not immediately moved to voice mail. I have to key the denial.

Fairly new to app. But not really impressed. Still receiving multiple calls. I am supposed to be on a federal no call list, what a joke. Rob calls are definitely out of hand. But then what isn’t these days. I’m gonna give it another month if no better? Look for something better.

It keeps telling me not set up correctly and I keep doing what it says. I’ve had the subscription for a month and it’s useless if it doesn’t work.

Up until the last few weeks I never even heard the calls that were being blocked - just saw that them. Now calls are coming through and I don’t know why?

It’s been 1 week and RoboSpamTextCallBlocker blocked over 20 spam texts. Unfortunately, a few that I didn’t want blocked were in there and I am hoping it will learn not to do it. It hasn’t blocked any phone calls and I have received a couple. It’s alright, though, it is the texts that were really out of hand. I’ll write again if I have additional praise or gripes, as it has only been one week.

Does a good job of blocking most robocalls but lets through legitimate calls. Doesn’t quite rate a 5 because you must manually update your blocked call list everyday.
If you have web sites that use 2 step authentication do NOT turn on block unknown numbers.

UPDATE: Well. Houston, we have a problem. I have had to uninstall this beast because it kills my voicemail. Callers that I want to send to voicemail get stuck in voicemail hell somewhere and I never get a message. When I remove Robokiller from the equation, everything is alright. Robokiller just isn’t tossing the good callers back to the right place in my phone ecosystem. No fix is available. I’ve tried EVERYTHING including wiping the phone. Alas, it was good while it lasted. Bye Robokiller."

Was receiving 5-10 spam texts a day. After using RoboSpamTextCallBlocker, it dropped to less than 1 or 2 and they were identified immediately as junk, easy to delete. I let RoboSpamTextCallBlocker run in the background and it works as advertised. I would recommend RoboSpamTextCallBlocker, it’s working great for me!

I donated money during an election years ago. Since then I have been bombarded by political donation requests, 10-12 a day. I blocked and opted out and new ones would just show up! So this year I bit the bullet and subscribed to this robo spam text and call blocker. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Not one text gets through

I have tried all the call blocking apps in the iTunes store and some work better than others but this particular app seems to be the best so far. Since I’ve downloaded it I haven’t had a call yet.

Thanks so much for this service! It works really well to supplement other SPAM blocking on phone and iPad. Just refreshed and found out that currently I had over 329,000 messages and calls. Unbelievable. Only thing to remember is to refresh the blocking from time to time. I had this much SPAM as a result of forgetting to refresh every so often.

I don’t understand how I can purchase this system to eliminate unwanted soliciting calls but instead of eliminating the calls it has actually increased the amount of calls I get a day that are SPAM. I tried rating you a 0 but that wasn’t an option so consider this a negative 2! It’s ridiculous that I have to try blocking around 20 calls a day for things such as; student loans. Social security scams, banking fraud, and more! I never had his issue with AT&T

This thing just doesn’t wanna work. RoboSpamTextCallBlocker will continually lock up. You add one number to the Block list and it shuts down, now you have reboot RoboSpamTextCallBlocker each time you input a phone number to get anything done.

This has been a big help has stopped those calls I get all day sometimes 15 calls or more a day had to turn off my phone even during my dialysis treatment now what peace I reck amend it to every one.
