Wordington was great when I first started playing it but now it’s just kind of all over the place. First you start out on the porch which is normal. Then the living room. Then you go back outside to a fountain and then some statue. Then you go back inside to this reading area off the living room. Then you go to your bedroom. Then back outside. Then you unpack boxes. And then you’re in the kitchen?!! You don’t finish one area completely before moving onto the next it’s all over the place and it becomes annoying. On top of that, the further you get into the game the more ads that pop up. And lastly, the tasks require more stars VERY FAST. By day 2 I was needing 3 stars to complete a task. Now I’m on day 7 or 8 (can’t remember which before I uninstalled it) and I’m needing 5 stars to complete all of my tasks. Add on the fact that every single time I open Wordington an ad pops up and won’t go away unless I watch all 35 seconds of it. It was fun in the beginning but now it’s just annoying to even get on Wordington . A side note: there’s a glitch in the game that causes the girl to random lift her leg and spin around the room. Has happened in both the living and bedroom only so far. Uninstalled and wouldn’t recommend if you actually want to play a game for a while.

2nd Update: Now the game crashes constantly and,of course, there is no way in the game to contact the developers within the game. Also, the number of games you have to play to do a task seems excessive - 6 games to do one thing is a lot. knocking off some stars until the crashes are fixed. Too bad, this could have been a great game but if nothing changes I may have to delete it.

Update: How does the game determine if a bonus word is accepted? There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes the game accepts an odd word and other times it will not accept a common word like treat. What gives. It would also be helpful to have a place to see what bonus words have already been accepted. Finally, why is there no link to customer service within the game. I would pay for no ads but since other reviews have mentioned paying and still getting ads, I don’t want to pay and then have no way to contact customer support if there is a problem. Had to knock off a star in my rating for these reasons.

I am loving this game so far. It is about time that someone came up with a word game that has a story and lets you decorate a house.

ya know, if you're gonna make a game using crosswords, the least you could do is spell Emma's words properly. "grandfathers house" was just the first instance of poor punctuation. there are many words misspelled and many words used incorrectly. "ed" endings when they should be "ing" endings. definately instead of definitely. i'm waiting to see "should/could/would/must of" it's shameful how illiterate the writers of this game are. i sometimes wonder if they even speak english naturally, the way the sentences are constructed. the ads are out of control. and Emma thinks it's ok to build a dog house right near a road with no gate on her driveway to make sure Max is safe. he'll be forced to sleep outside in the rain. even in a dog house, that's pretty cruel. now i get an ad after every puzzle. the same 10 or so ads all the time. the more i see them, the less i want to get them, so they're definitely NOT effective. i am not paying any amount of money to remove the ads in a FREE game. i play this game while watching tv, so i can look up at the screen more. LOL. and the pervo writers made Emma walk like a hooker.

Hello fellow gen z (or anyone else who this may apply to) if you are thinking of getting this game ask yourself this.... do YOU have patience? If the answer is no, then let me be the one to tell why this game just might not be for you either and here is why

Firstly I do want to say that I am not totally hating on the game the puzzles are alright... the real issue here is with the “remodeling” of the house. When I tell you they milk every ounce of patience out of you I am not kidding. Not only do you have to move slowly step by step like a child, they even had the audacity to make you waste stars to wake home girl up.... like what??? You want her to breathe too? You also have to read her WHOLE life story sometimes bc the skip button decides not to “work” sometimes. She be reminding me of that one friend who you just can’t say nothing to bc she goes on and on up until the day she was born :( so please take in consideration that you need to have actual patience to play this game.

Honest review ~ me.

I gave this game 3 stars, just barely... it was pretty good at first, but first of all a crossword puzzle to me has hints like “where is the Whitehouse located?” This is word placement. That’s minor, I like both, just say it like it is. The Main complaint I have is spending So much time outside! I’ve been playing for a while, I keep thinking we’ll go back inside became if that’s what you call redecorating, you don’t get it.
You could offer us a chance to not to do so much, especially the bridge (who puts a bridge that size-they were all ugly). And enough with the flowers, 3 stars for 4 different spaces, that are all one big flower bed - on one side of the house then you have to do it again on the other side? I think I’m through. It’s not a Bad game, just say what it is - a yard and flower game.

It’s still the same, except the words are getting harder. The only reason I’m updating is because it wouldn’t let me keep going without coming here. I didn’t get an acknowledgement from the first time so why they wanted to hear from me again I have no idea.

So I am almost on level 600. But as I have gotten to that level I have noticed that it kicks you off Al-lot, it has poor graphics, and it does not let you choose what you want to do next. Like after I was done with my bedroom I wanted to start on the shop. Then like on the pool, you can not choose the decks color. I wanted mine white. I really think you should have a color chart on things to where you paint them the color that describes you. I also think you should be able to choose your own name. Next in the latest update it has Emma holding a baby and yet at the beginning it did not have a baby and even at level 600 you still don’t have a baby. My entire family has this game and my momma is already at level 1000 something. And she only has 7 main things done. So I would recommend that you make the things less stars. Also u should make it to where when it loads it doesn’t take over 10 minutes. It’s really annoying. But other than all that the game is great.

I just started playing this game I moved over from word villas since they totally ruined that game with their last update and so far I am really liking it since it reminds me of what word villas used to be when I first started playing that game. I really enjoy this game hopefully they don’t go ahead and make too many changes that end up ruining it. I am just glad I found this game if you enjoy word games that are relaxing and fixing things up this game is for you. Update: I finished all the tasks a while ago and it says more tasks coming soon but I am losing faith that this game will get anymore tasks to do since all they seem to care about now is those separate rooms they do that only last for a certain amount of days, those things are not as fun as doing the tasks so I gave up on doing those and I guess I will wait around for a few more months to see if any more tasks are added before I just get rid of the game, I am not going to hold my breath that new tasks will be added, this game was enjoyable when stuff to do not so much anymore.

I just played for one hour I loved it but the problem is the first two times u use the mystery wheel it lands the help tool for a clue and then the big money on and then the 15+ one keeps on coming like a thousand of times but I would actually like an upgrade . I also would like friends to play with you like a little chat section in the game and you can chat with your friends then maybe if u have a lot of coins or stars u can make a millionaire house and like level 15 like a thousand coins for a mansion. And last and for all I would love and would be a pleasure to like make ur own house and ya. And it need some improvements because it glitches and there is not that many chances to get the stars and coins and we don’t really have many options to decorate the house and it’s just weird combination because it would not be weird if u could choose ur color and like be a normal house than a crazy house and it would look like a maniac is living in it.

I appreciate the word practice and strategy practice in this game. A few things come to the top when I'm stumped on a word or two. When solving a puzzle, some puzzles give credits for extra words found that are not part of the puzzle. Not all the puzzles allow the extra points. I want credit for extra words in all the puzzles. I have also noticed that not all (even basic English) words possible are accepted when a puzzle is accepting extra words. I do not like the guy-friend staying overnight. Where is the girl next door she used to play hopscotch in the garden & climb trees with? I do not mind most of the games on the free version and my kids enjoy some of the ads. However, I am on the verge of deleting this game due to advertised games, "Chapters", being completely inappropriate. The educational & boredom value of this game is not so replaceable that I will continue to take the chance on my children's soul.

I had originally given this game 5 stars. I loved that there was unlimited play and even though the tasks often took a ridiculous amount of stars, I could get through the puzzles quickly. Then there were no more tasks. I waited a week and found there were more. That very day the tasks ran out AGAIN! I’ve been checking in every day and getting the daily credits. Today I was surprised to see there were puzzles to solve. I was so excited! Then I found the puzzles are for a Halloween game where you earn stars for Halloween decorations. The decorations are 20+ stars EACH and each one gets more expensive! Meanwhile, some of the puzzles are so much more complicated. I love crosswords so I have a great vocabulary and ability to spell, but I’m sure many players will get frustrated and give up. The game concept is excellent and has so much promise. I hope you can improve it and keep the tasks coming on a regular basis.

I enjoy the puzzles and loved that I could do tasks for only a few stars on the first few “days.” Too many ads makes it take so long to earn stars. Now that I’m a little further into the game (6-8 days) I need 3-5 stars per task. Worse, some tasks are in 3-4 parts each needing 3-5 stars. I wouldn’t mind this except most of the time there’s an ad after every word puzzle. Even worse, many ads are 30-60 seconds long and you can’t get out of the ad unless you close and reopen Wordington . I’d probably give it 5 ⭐️s if there were less ads. Maybe one ad after every 4-5 puzzles would be more reasonable. I understand I can pay $1.99 to go ad free but I prefer not to do that. When I try to watch ads for coins since I have to watch ads anyway, it doesn’t always allow me to do that. Fix the overabundance and length of ads please.
P.S. 4+ age is not a realistic for this type of game. Just my opinion :)

Honestly this game is a million times better than the match 3 games. I just want to decorate and each game is much easier and much less frustrating to play. However, even tho it’s easier to get through, I think it’s honestly ridiculous how many stars one thing costs at a time and for really unnecessary things like baking cookies and all the stuff for Max. At that point it becomes more tedious than fun. There is way too much stuff to do for the dog especially for how many stars you need for each thing. It’s also kind of annoying how I can’t always choose the look of things like the design/color of the dog house or the piano for example. The swatches for things are ok, but could be better. Ads are way to often as well and I read paying for no ads doesn’t really work so that’s really annoying. One last thing is the bonus words. Sometimes a word works and sometimes it doesn’t. That should be fixed. Despite all of the negatives I do really enjoy this game and would 100% rather it over the match 3 games for sure!

Overall, I like this game. I even paid to get rid of the ads. I would love this game if it didn't freeze up every time I play it. I like to bank a lot of stars at a time before I do the upgrades on the house, but it constantly freezes, and then I have to wait until the next day to play again. I have also noticed several glitches when the characters interact. Sometimes, they walk right through objects, or parts of them go through the other character. The other day, a character was fixing an engine, and he was facing away from it, and it looked like he was wiping the ground. If you are going to show them doing something, they should at least be facing what they are working on. There is one other thing that bothers me. this app is a word game, and I have caught several misspelled words in the character’s dialog.

Thank you to whomever created this this app app! I absolutely adore it! You don't need to make us spend a lot to have fun and you don't force buying/spending down our throats. I'm also grateful for the way the decorations are created, set up via word puzzles instead of shooting and/or hitting colored balls etc. like all the other app games. I think in today's society especially, to have people, especially kids, have spelling words as means to an end is really great. So many American kids can't seem to spell , write, think, know vocabulary. You have a great "system" for teaching kids these important skills while also making the game fun. Many thanks for hours of learning and enjoyment! The decorating is also fun and easy to do! I am grateful for the opportunity to have this app in my stack of apps! It is #1 with me and my family! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Best part of the game is you can play & progress without purchasing anything! I’ve been playing for over a year & it’s one of my go to games. I don’t play games where you pretty much have to pay to play! I don’t mind making buying things from time to time, when I have the money to spend, if I’m not forced! They are always adding new things also that you can buy with your GAME money, for like a few cents! I appreciate that you can play on & on without spending a dime! They recently added a new bonus feature to get a few exclusive items that I really like ( which could be a little cheaper in my opinion ;) $4.99) which they do once a month, since I had the money I have purchased a couple of times because I don’t HAVE to! This is the first review I’ve ever written for any game because I do really like this game!

I love this game because it’s not like the rest of them where they trick you with mini games and it ends up being like candy crush. Where u need to spend money on boosters and power ups to move forward. This game is exactly what it said it would be. And you don’t have to spend a dime if you don’t want to. The only thing I don’t like about this game is you spend so much time and stars working on the outside. I have yet to reach the second floor which is what I’m most excited about. It would be nice if we could choose to work outside or inside after the first floor and the front and back yards are finished. I’m tired of using all my stars to clean leaves and put cleaner in the pool or place fountains. I just had to use 12 stars to plant one tree. That’s incredibly frustrating. Other than that this is a great game to pass time and nowhere near as frustrating as the rest of the games like this where your playing candy crush. Kudos to creators

I just got this game, and love it. I love the real voice with it, and the colors, animations, and story. I love there are no matching games, only finding words game in here. I like there are not very many words to find, and they are not huge words. I am glad that you have free coins, boosts, and hints available. I hate that other games make you play matching games. I do not like other games that start off easy, with extra boosts, etc., and then get harder, and less boosts, etc. Then they are too hard for me, so I cannot play them anymore, and have to find a new game, which then that new game ends up doing the same thing, so I search for game number three! I want to stay with one game I like, and enjoy playing it, doing well, and making it, the play my own. I want to stay in one game and enjoy the story! Thank you for making this game, which so far, seems to be made just for me!

My daughter and son are learning how to read and do all of letters and word stuff and this game helps with that it is fun for me to because I have been trying and trying and trying to get them learn that then I found Wordington the started reading like Never before . And they started reading and spelling it is like a dream come true. It also is so fun for them they always say mommy I got a star and I’m like good job honey and they are learning how to fix a house so when we move they can help more and they have fun with it too they always ask if they can get on my iPad and play this game and I tell them to eat food first and they eat and then they have a good time. Now we are going to get to what I like about it always has good ratings and helps people learn how to read and spell and they just have a excellent time doing it.

I like the game alot its kinda like WORDVILLAS another word game with the same game and word style!!!!! And because the game IS SO GOOD I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE IT 5 STARS ⭐️ ✨ 🌟 ✨ 🌟 although I wish I could give it more than 5 stars ✨ ⭐️ 🌟 ✨ 💫 because I like it so much, also please can you come out with more of these games please?

I enjoy playing this game a lot! The games that make you match like Matchington always end up giving me boards that are impossible for me to complete. With this game, I ran it out of tasks, built up 100 stars and was able to complete the next set of tasks with the exception of 6 stars. I built up 100 more stars and completed the next set of tasks with 50 to spare. I just got more tasks and I am anxious to see what comes next! Great way to build spelling skills. The only drawback for me is that I come up with a lot of legitimate words that don’t fit in the puzzle but it won’t give you bonus words. Other words that are part of the puzzle are words I’ve never seen before. I sometimes get bonus words from some of these. Overall, I enjoy playing it.
