I was hoping to use this as an alternative to the official app, been happy with this instead of Facebook official. Turns out you can’t control the accessibility settings fully. It turns them off. I need to be able to do that. I have bad eyesight and I need large text and a much darker background for increased contrast. This is completely useless.

I love Friendly, it's fast, easy to use, and way better than the ad-ridden official Twitter app. However, it is constantly forgetting my login. It's always been an issue, but in the last week it started doing it 6-10 times per day!! That makes it unusable IMO. Which means I have to find another app 😞

Once installed this app for Twitter does not appear in Location Services. You cannot set privacy rules. When Friendly is open the location tracking icon appears on my iPhone screen indicating Friendly is tracking my location. I deleted and reinstalled app. Same issue

I still get the same amount of ads as with other Twitter apps. When I remove them, it doesn’t matter, they return. Setting to remove ads is on. I tried tweeting developers to see what was happening and got no reply. Friendly doesn’t seem to be supported anymore.

I see another review from a year ago asking about login persistence. No apparent comment from the developer. I recently tried Friendly and had the same question. My effort to contact the developers went unanswered as well.

Would love to love Friendly but just can’t. I paid for the ad blocker which has so far been completely ineffective. Need a fix or it’s just not worth downloading at all.

The ad blocker only works when you refresh Friendly . If there’s new tweets on your timeline, promoted tweets will show up. Then you have to hit refresh again for the ad blocker to work.

I love not having to see Twitter ads with the PAID version, and the ability to choose themed colors is great. Everything else is awful and annoying: I get logged out for no reason at least once a day, which means 1. I have to log back in, 2. I have to set everything again (from “home” to “latest tweets” and from light back to dark mode again), 3. It resets my “progress,” by which I mean it just acts like I hit the refresh button and have to scroll forever to find my place AGAIN. I say “again” because my Twitter feed resets itself like that constantly, probably once every fifteen or twenty minutes and I haaaaate that. Seems way more likely to do it if I make the terrible mistake of actually clicking on a tweet to watch the embedded video or check out a link, which makes me not want to do that, which stinks because checking out cool shared stuff is like half the reason I use Twitter?

Oh hey, and here’s another fun thing - IT RESETS AND EVEN LOGS ME OUT WHILE I AM USING Friendly . Just for no reason at all.

I ONLY continue to endure this extremely frustrating app because being able to automatically filter ads out makes the experience JUST worthwhile enough to not give up on it entirely.

Please fix the random sign-out and random refresh issues - I want to feel good about using and recommending/paying for Friendly instead of irritated on the one hand and like a sucker on the other.

New glitch where every photo gives me a warning of sensitive content even though my sensitive filter is turned off to automatically see sensitive content. Work on normal X app, not this one :(

Would you fix the video download in Friendly it just works couple times and then it keeps disappearing so I have to reopen the page and lucky it might work or not can you please fix that it used to be work everyday and everywhere…

Regretfully I'm uninstalling this, at least for the time being. Fed up with Friendly logging me out all the time.
Perhaps that's what this version does instead of crashing like this app for Facebook does with Twitter.
If it weren't for that it would be a pretty good app and I'd consider paying to remove the ads.

Ad block not working, despite paying for it. Would like to adjust text size too. Otherwise, it’s closer to the experience I want, than other apps. Fix the ad block though.

It always require new login which isn’t convenient for me and also it loads very slowly

I would like to think that if we get a update We might also get some thing to repair having to login four or five times a day.

I’ve never really had problems with Friendly until recently— sometimes Friendly will randomly refresh itself with no input, regardless of what you were doing at the time. I’ve been trying to read individual threads, checking my notifications, even just writing a reply, and I’ve been booted out of all three to just have Friendly refresh to the home landing page. If it was happening irregularly, I could let it slide, but this happens every five to ten minutes using Friendly . I don’t recommend Friendly if you’re using the latest iOS, because in its current state it seems to be a bit of a buggy mess.

I just want to mention that if you want to watch a video you always have to zoom in
I hope that you can watch the vid on small screen just like real Twitter

Very satisfied with Friendly cuz it’s basically the same as the web app version. The only fault is it always requires new login. Very very inconvenient. I would rather switch back to the web thank you.

1. In both the iPad & iPhone versions, I have to enter my login info , too frequently.
2. It keeps reverting to “home”, instead of “most recent” far too often
Other than that, great app!

i love Friendly! i use this for twifter. the only thing is that when i go to display and change the color and background, it doesn't save and it turns back to it's default visuals after i close Friendly . so everytime i reopen Friendly , i have to change it to pink and lights out everytime. if you would fix this it would be perfect! thank you!

I really am amazed with this Twitter. At first I was kind a getting use to it but once I was sure on what to do I was doing alright.

Awesome the only problem is that I keep getting logged out of my account?

I prefer Friendly more just because it has no annoying ads

It’s exactly what I wanted. It has a similar feel to the Twitter app, but with no ads. Great!!
