Deceitful practices

They tell us Ares|Maiya banner has a guarantee to give us one of them for the first SSR unit we summon, and then they do update around 5pm server time and secretly removed that even though ppl already summoned due to that guaranteed focus. Then they tell us all three things: it was a mistake, it was never there, they will update in the future and give us enough to do 5 single summons... so was it an error for which people paid money due to guaranteed SSR unit they didn’t receive, or were we all blind and it was never there (even though it was but they threw an update in the afternoon without telling us of the “correction”), or will they update the description in the future??!! Which is it?! You can’t tell us it wasn’t there before even tho it was and we have proof and then you update it and only tell use about the other bugs you needed a to fix like sending us a bunch of descriptions of skills and talents in Mandarin(?). People summoned due to that wording and language. You can’t just say veterans should know better. We can’t know you intentions; only that you screwed us and don’t give a crap about us. You have to give us either Ares or Maiya or let us choose one of the two for first SSR summon from a supposedly focus banner and not just tell us we should know better (which was reply from their staff).

Real review the game P2W

I’ve played this game since lunch and it was fun I was able to progress... when I hit level 25 that when i started seeing problems. The mission were okay but subquest were starting to feel like “hellmode” instead of a challenge. I wasn’t able to beat this one difficult subquest where at level 25 you unlock it and you fight a level 25 enemy with 1425 defense magic 135. You can have the same character and at level 25 you wouldn’t have the exact same stats as the enemy. I wasn’t able to beat him till level 45 and even then he came close on destroying one of my players. Not only that this TEAM thinks when they do server updates and experience problems that a simple item that you can get from a quest, subquest, shop, or even trail missions is something to compensate... no you know what hard? Getting tickets to summon new characters or upgrading old and that my next pet peeve. This game what’s you to spend money on summonings. At level 30 all I summon is N, R, SR guaranteed but the SR are people who shouldn’t be rank as SR. Right now my N and R out beat my SR, my R and SR are stronger then 2 of my SSR. I have a SR who is more stronger then my SSR. Stats aren’t accurate on the characters my. They say S in some of the stats but my SR with lower stats do better then them still! Literally this game downhill. I get to summon 10 special event characters only twice during the two week event. I’ve grown bored of then Dark souls 2.0 of this game

P2W...seriously

Update: 4 years later, I decided to give this a try…pulled more hints, even got a few stars up, got a working faction even. Seriously…how does this game have the rating it has? I had hoped maybe they would have fixed a few things but…nope. Don’t play this.

-A grind game is fine if you can grind...but you cannot as everything in this game requires energy. The energy is precious beyond belief, and it’s insane how quick it’s gone. A single level can take you a week before you can get it, and energy refill is expensive. Add in factions amongst units, which is a must for much content, and star levels that require you to pull multiple units or grind ANOTHER limited daily quest...suffice to say this game finds enough ways to stall you into paying that those who are advancing either have way to much time or are whaling in a way that should be genuinely concerning.

The cost of a single 10 pull is also ridiculous ...and my god the rates are low. Bringing us back to the star levels and the factions...you need to pull to get units that match faction bonuses, and need to pull multiple to get star levels up....come on. Don’t even pretend to state this game is meant to be “challenging” when the tactics are obviously designed to push players towards the shop. The games sudden increase in difficulty is staggering, and without a full set of perfect equipment and 6 star/faction equal units you can’t even begin to engage in “tactic” based fights. The devs have left multiple comments on other reviews stating it’s meant to provide a challenge to f2p players...don’t listen...and anyone who is leaving positive reviews is perpetuating the very worst in gacha game tactics.

Not balanced...

I love playing this game, but it is not balanced. An example of this is that the summoning rate caters to people who can spend tons of money to get tons of trinity crystals for trinity tickets (which the amount you pay for the amount you get is incredibly ridiculous as well, I mean what are you going to do with 30 trinity crystals when it costs 88 for one trinity ticket? There is no reason to buy less than what you need, which is a majority of the purchases, considering that it costs 880 for a 10x pull.) while those who don’t spend any money get the short end of the stick. All that is summoned is R after R, people who do not spend money are lucky to get anything beyond an sr with make 10x pulls. With the current horrible summon rate it would take tons of pulls to get better heroes (ssrs and such). The rate needs to be changed to make it fairer for those who can not afford to spend tons of money on the game. Stop being money greedy and be more considerate of all the people who play the game and not just the people who have deep pockets of money. If you want people to enjoy your game fix the prices for trinity crystals, and make the summoning rate a more reasonable and balanced rate. Also, do not give us that “you have the opportunity to get what you want” crap. That is bull crap and everyone knows it. If we all had equal opportunity to get what we want, we WOULD all HAVE what we want. So please stop being money greedy and make the game a BETTER, FAIRER, BALANCED game for EVERYONE. Thank you.

The two stars are for everything minus the gameplay

That’s how important gameplay is in a game....Very enjoyable if played casually and you should spend most of your time enjoying the tactics play and logistics. However I have to remove two stars from the rating...for the game becomes unenjoyable after level 25 I myself could not go on without paying for one or more of the privileges. In total I’ve spend 20 dollars for 30 days in total for privileges and it makes the gameplay tolerable and rewarding which is very unfortunate. There’s is nothing more personally invasive and insulting than being physiologically manipulated to spend money through a game’s gameplay and that is what this game does...apart from that the Art work and the user interface are superb...the online connectivity and gameplay are executed flawlessly. The lore and story and voice acting are enjoyable to myself being a new player. As well as the amount of content is very thrilling. You can tell who ever made this game liked its original version. It really is a treat and apart from the what I see as an Over kill in physiological manipulation is mainly detrimental because it makes gameplay and logiqgistic gameplay very frustrating this game is fun and can be very fun if you spend 20 bucks a month maybe less if you’re skilled ! Boo I know but the rest of this game should be a benchmark !3 STARS OUT OF 5. ..PS come on guys it 2019 why can’t mathew engage in intimacy with his male contemporaries? I’m sure you guys could figure something out there not saying let him engage with Vargas but still ! 2 STARS OUT OF 5.

Random hero summoning spoils an otherwise good game

I’m a huge fan of the this app series and was excited to see this come out on mobile. The gameplay is fun and challenging, but the completely random nature by which you are able to obtain higher rank heroes is what did in this game for me. There’s absolutely no way to get them other than to hit that summon button and pray. In the early game you’ll be earning lots of vouchers and crystals so this won’t seem like an issue, but as the game wears on and the crystals dry up, and you need those 1 or 2 heroes that will complete your faction you’ll start to feel it. After saving every scrap I had to summon on a Leon banner, then again on a Cherie banner, and getting neither of them, I decided it was time to call it a day. Not that I had spent much $ to that point, a couple of the cheap one time purchases, but there was no sense in throwing another dime into the summoning slot machine. Folks who have gotten great heroes from f2p summoning will tell you the game is fantastic, mostly because they were able to grab Leon. But there’s plenty of players out there who got garbage on their summons that aren’t happy. this app will show you why loot crate games are banned in several countries.

Actual real review

While most games are pay to win, this game is still a lot of fun without spending. I am not completely FTP, I have spent maybe $15, not exactly going to change the field but it got me a couple extra tickets a few times when I really wanted a 10 pull. As a cheap to play player I know I am never going to be in the top of the arena, but the game is a lot more than just that. I wrote this because the top review was someone who gave up at level 25 because it was hard...it’s really not that hard, I don’t remember hitting any road bumps till around 40-45. It’s a strategy game, if you are incapable of strategy, this is not the game for you, if you do possess a degree of intelligence, there are plenty of resources to learn what you don’t figure out on your own, this game has a lot of aspects to think about and a decent amount of depth in character set up. If you feel like you should be able to progress but you can’t, hit up the Facebook group. If you are fighting in auto mode you deserve to lose. The creators have admitted the AI is terrible, but it’s fine for grinding levels that you overpower.

Gameplay is good but the summons are stupid

I been playing this game ever since it came out and honestly the gameplay is good but the summons are just stupid because I grinded for weeks and months trying to get new ssr characters so I can get good character but I tried at least in total over 2000 summons and all that it gave me were nonstop sr characters that I already have so my suggestion in order to improve this is either to increase more the odds of getting ssr characters since there are way more of them than sr characters and maybe once in a while include a 5 step summon where people can do 10 summons for the first step and then 30 summons for the second step and just keep ongoing until they hit the final step where they can get a ssr character. I’m only saying this because the ssr percentage is so low for people like me where some of my friends said that they did it only once and they got the character instantly where I somehow get nobody after trying for so long with grinding. If you can somehow inprove based on my suggestion then I will come back to the game and play more and other unfortunate players like myself could come back as well.

Great Game but Gatcha elements

I’ve been playing this game since it came out in the US. However it is a grinding game, it’s taken me a long time to get to 180k in power on my hero card. There were some bugs at first but most have been patched, however I can seem to get my orange tickets and whatever else I get from the patch updates. I see my burgers and everything else but not the tickets, special chest, bags I get from this app day. I’ve deleted and reinstalled my game but they still don’t show up. That’s my only problem with this game. I also think we should be able to consolidate accounts. I have two accounts and it’s pretty hectic, there are also a lot of users that don’t play anymore and should get deleted, only after not playing for a year. Those players that deleted their items, characters, shards, etc should be put back into the gatcha system for currently active players. Great job to the makers of the game, this mobile game is worth it. Also you don’t need to be a whale to play.

Balanced system so far!

First day of playing this game during the prelaunch and I am enjoying the gaming style. I’ve played this app and Warsong back in the day in the 90s so it does have nostalgic system with building the characters. As mobile games, it still has the similarities to in-app purchases to support the development like other gaming business models. You can still be a Free2Play gamer and enjoy the game. I like the challenge to see how far I can go as an F2P gamer, but will not knock anyone who likes to buy the bonus, subscription, and extra featured content. I’m sure some people would like the upper edge advancing p2w or play to win buying up the upgrades rather than grinding into the gameplay. Overall: I give is it 5/5 gameplay, storyline, and playability. I was surprised that the server has not crashed yet during the prelaunch, but the timing is convenient and will see how the latency over time when more clients join the servers. Not sure what to say about disadvantages yet.

My favorite mobile game ever

this app has done everything right that the majority of other Gacha titles can’t seem to. Not only does this game have some of the best gameplay and art, but they don’t discriminate the gems between “free gems” and “paid gems.” So the gems you earn as a free to play player have the same merit as the ones you buy. I have been playing this game since 2020, I’ll admit I’ve sunk a good amount of money into it (mostly for the beautiful skins) but the game is still quite viable to play as a f2p. My favorite part about this game compared to many other gacha titles is that when you summon 1 copy of a hero, whether it’s a regular hero or a limited crossover event, you are able to level that character up to max stars by farming shards. You aren’t forced to spend a bunch of money just to strengthen a hero. In some other titles your character is stuck at a low level unless you spend more money to summon additional copies

Great to have another Langrisser in the US

I absolutely hate mobile games with their pay to play and repetitiveness, but this app/Warsong was my childhood so I had to give this a shot. The nostalgia is in full swing playing this! The music, the characters, the world etc. I love that they added the time rifts so newcomers can experience parts of the first three games and vets can play them again with a twist. Overall really good voice acting and the art and combat are really enjoyable. Also the soundtrack is killer and right out of the old games but updated. The prices seem a bit high for crystals and the like, but I’m currently avoiding buying anything. I’m still early on so maybe giving 5 stars right now is a bit foolish, but I’ve been enjoying the game thus far. As someone who hates mobile games, but loves the this app series I am really digging this. Here’s hoping the remakes on ps4 and switch make it to the US and this app M becomes really successful and gets lot of great added content and updates.

Good but still just a casual game

I played the beta and had tons of fun played very often too, it’s tutorial was short but helpful and the combat is fun and more simple but still some complex since you can customize your characters and there classes And ability’s you can still have a team based around your play style, say in pvp your opponent has the same troops as you and is similar level they still could have different abilities and classes for the troops
So you can have your own unquie play style and I’m just kinda being biased here but if u like turn based strategy rpg’s try this out u like it, and if u just like to be casual every now and then on mobile and you aren’t a fan of mobile much you still might like it, it’s freedom in playstyle for your troops is real fun and it doesn’t punish you too heavily if u don’t play everyday or basically say other plays will dominate you if u don’t play daily so it’s relaxing and not bad too play while I sit on the toilet, also they have skins which or fun and nice for your specific troops.

Disregard the bad 1st review regarding progress etc

The game is easily one of my favorites in a long time. I’m level 39 and play for free (so far). I can tell you progress hasn’t been an issue at all. Regarding the first review saying at level 25 they couldn’t beat an enemy leveled 25 until they are level 40..? That person must not be very good. I constantly beat levels above me. Some fights are MEANT to be very challenging though for great rewards. MAIN point however.. there are MANY ways to increase your characters strength and abilities. Leveling them up to the recommended level (the game tells you before a fight what level you should be to have a good chance at winning) is not enough. It’s simply that a “recommendation”. The game has no idea comparatively what else you have done to increase your characters “power”. Level is a very minimum benchmark of what your power can be but you have to very much do EVERYTHING else to increase your power beyond that to compete. Leveling alone will never be enough. It’s expected that you progress in all aspects of what can increase your characters power while you level which you have to work for. I’d say the developers have done a great job at anticipating what you can achieve in the time you get to a particular level to be able to challenge the harder fights. I haven’t yet had to spend time just leveling/increasing my power without game progression. I’m constantly progressing. But I’m sure just like any other RPG there will be times I need to spend developing my characters before moving forward. This game is absolutely a 5 star game for its type.

Very deep and FtP friendly tactical strategy rpg gacha

This has been my main gacha for a while now, and it keeps me coming back. There is actually a pretty small roster of characters (IMO) but they are all useful in various ways, so there are no completely garbage characters. The gameplay is complex (each unit is comprised of both a hero and soldiers that have their own separate training trees and attack timing/unique abilities), and PVE levels have a nice difficulty curve where I never felt like it was a cakewalk. The PVE levels do become very difficult, and the only way to progress is to spend time grinding and building up your characters. Even when you pull a top-tier PVE SSR, that character won’t do much for you until you invest a lot of time and resources into it. The game is very generous with giving you what you need to pull for characters. You can easily get a thousand free pulls in your first several months of progression, and with a 2% SSR rate and strategic use of focus banners, it won’t take long to get most of the SSRs. There are 3 different levels of PVP, and the highest level is really deep and satisfying, involving live PVP with a pick/ban phase (kind of like a draft) where you both bring 15 units to the table and settle on a 5 vs 5 battle. It’s good motivation for all the grinding. Theres also some live co-op PVE. There is limited sweeping to speed up your dailies, but you will also probably let your phone go on auto battle while you do something else when you’re in full grind mode. Finally, I’m a fan of the story. I feel there’s a good balance of serious and goofy moments (but definitely a lot more of the later). The story does get complicated as there’s a lot of jumping around between the main story and doing flashbacks to the past this app games, and then the flashbacks even go into alternate timelines, but there’s a lot of lore to explore. Furthermore, almost every character has their own series of backstory missions.

Miscellaneous

I’ve been playing since this game first released. I discovered this mobile game via a Facebook promotion. I quickly pre-Ordered it soon after. I’ve been off and on since then, I missed a couple of things during the early days of release, when the game was still fresh. That’s my question for the devs, will those sort of items that players missed out on, from previous echos of light? For example there’s a Cherie skin that can be obtained from an echo of light, and I missed it because I didn’t play the game at the time I was on a hiatus. Will you bring back those Events in the future? Or make those echo of lights skins obtainable during a holiday season? Would love to know! Really would like to get my hands on any skins I’ve missed out on! My next question is this. The alchemy. Will that be further expanded? I feel like much more can be done with transmuting and such then what we currently have. I for one would love to be able to exchange my “ Shards” into “ Shards” that I don’t have. I have a buck load of shards for heroes that I don’t even use. I would like it for use to use the alchemy option to convert those “ shards “ into other “ shards” for heroes we are frequently using, or giving us the option to “ transmute “ those useless shards into good or other some sort of useable material.

Don’t listen to P2W reviews

I rarely take the time to write review on games because it is not something I like to spend time on, but this game is good enough that warrant me to do so. I don’t know about anyone else but all I spend on the game is $0.99 and $7.99 per month for the 2 privileges of clock of forgiveness and additional aniki training/goddess trial. I will probably stop spending on $7.99 some in the future when I no longer need the resources from it, but even with it less than $10 a month is not something I consider as p2w.

Now with that being said I have beaten all lvl 65 dragons and aniki training except for Rocky. That one I done lvl 60. I also got Ledin, Liana, tiaris, Leon, Luna, etc... all SSR from summon vouchers and crystals I get from the game. I don’t spend money to purchase crystals for summoning. I am pretty sure I am not the only one who accomplished these things without spending a lot of money. The game is not for everyone as it does require some skills and strategy, but if you can figure things out then you don’t have to spend much or any to be good at it.

Proves Mobile Games are 'real' Games

There's always a lot of talk here in America about how Mobile Games shouldn't be compared to retail games available on consoles, handhelds and computer. this app, to me, is THE game to prove that mobile games can be just as enjoyable as console games. This could easily have been a game for the 3DS or Switch!

Everything here is high quality, from the gameplay and graphics up to the scenario abd characters... But I think the soundtrack is the highlight for me. My only complaint is that this is part of a franchise that I haven't had any exposure to before, which bothers me about many other mobile games as well. I wish the developers were given more creative freedom to make a wholy new series!

Either way though, we need to join Japan and finally give games like this app the appreciation they deserve. This is exactly the game I have been wanting to play for all these years I owned the new video game consoles, but it turns out that I got to play it for free on my mobile phone. Stunning! This and Dragalia Lost are keeping me from turning on my video game consoles in weeks or even months.

Never played a actual game on Mobil before!

Normally when I get a mobile game I play it for a week and move on to the next one. A lot of game make it so you have to pay to keep moving forward and stay competitive but finally I have found a game that still has my interest! I have been playing this game for two months now! I actually enjoy paying a little bit of money because I feel there was care when making this game! To the developers I want to say great job! You gave me hope for mobile games! I want anyone that is readying this to understand I have never wrote a review before but I honestly feel this game deserves the 5 stars! Overall a lot of content to keep you moving forward plus updates that add to this game! The story is good and the writers for this game actually made me care and laugh a little with some of the responses between characters! Gameplay is fun and with new hero’s adds depth and strategy to keep you interested! Overall this is the one game on mobile that I will continue to play and actually enjoy! Great job guys I fully support this game and I feel this game will keep growing! 5 stars all around! Worth it guys!

Apex fail

I used to enjoy this game as a free to play and have only made a couple minor purchases and have played since it’s global launch. It is impossible to compete with pay to win players which are the only people who participate in real time arena, due to having a lower than 10 percent win chance I no longer participated in this function which was not a huge deal because of the rewards received were not remarkable. The Apex rewards for being a top player are way to overbearing over the lower placed ranks which is completely unfair and the rewards for a bottom ranked player make it pointless to play. I have tried 11 battles and lost them all by a landslide due to being out paid. Why make a system in which you are faced off against players in which you have no chance to win. Not to mention that most people do not enjoy real time arena as it is a huge time waste meant only for pay to winners. This has greatly lowered my view of the game.
