too many advertisements.
even if you pay for no ads, as soon as you open ChessRoyale , you are hit with 3 advertisements. EVERY SINGLE TIME, sometimes 4 back to back.
ads are: spins the wheel, connect on facebook, buy the coins in your safe, allow us to track you, etc.
you habe to close out each time you start ChessRoyale . and they position them so when you try to click continue, the advertisement appears on top and forces you to “apin the wheel” and you have to pay coins or watch a video.

stay away from ChessRoyale, there are far better chess apps out there.
also 90% you are playing bots, not humans. the developers will say you are playing humans 90% of the time, but it’s actually bots.
how do i know?
90% of the time you face a player who never captures, just avoids.
90% of the time you face a player who will sacrifice a queen for a pawn.
90% of the time you will face a player that makes a move in exactly 4 seconds each move and will run out of time.
90% of the time you will face a player with 35 trophies but plays in cairo.

10% of the time you face a player who says hi. 10% of the time you face a player send you rematch.
10% of the time you face a player who will rage quit and let timer run out.
10% of the time you face a player with 7000+ trophies playing in cairo.

Watch an ads to get into the game, close out the pop up ad when you hit X, close out pop up ads when you log into menu 3x, watch an ad to play a game but wait that ad doesn’t have a close button even after 3 minutes so you close out ChessRoyale and repeat process until you’ve watched so many ads that youd rather just go to Walmart and buy a chess set since it’s be quicker then starting one game on here.

Even if you do get into a game ads play with sound (pausing your music) during the game. Idk about you but I have the attention span of gnat and I can’t think of my next move if I’m to busy switching apps to fix my music and closing pop up ads with teeny tiny close buttons let alone even take my current move.

Where do I start, first if your opponent quit, you don’t get points if the Internet goes down while you’re playing you don’t get points. It doesn’t tell you what’s happening it glitches throughout the game goes back-and-forth move your man back where it was and then back forward. I contacted today the developer I got a blanket message back saying somebody would get in touch with me or I could rewrite my message which is stupid so I’m just going to just look for a different game. This one doesn’t work. It is a good game when it does work. I enjoy it but too many problems. The game moves your last move back restarts the clock and then your time runs out…. It’s happened way to many times. I enjoy the game but it’s too frustrating…. Please fix this!!!!!!

I don’t usually go out of my way to review apps but when I finally thought a decent chess app hit the marketplace I was excited. But of course there has to be a catch. ChessRoyale is CONSTANTLY showing me ads whenever I try to do anything. I can’t even get to the Home Screen without watching some obnoxious ad that takes forever to skip and I’m not going to pay to remove ads so I can enjoy a game of chess. If I switch to a new menu option: watch an ad first. To play a simple blitz game, watch an ad. Just finished a game? Here’s another ad to watch. Enough already. The developers really need to think about their audience when designing these apps because we will get fed up and uninstall it quickly without even giving it a chance. Did I sign up to play chess or watch advertisement videos? The majority of my time spent on ChessRoyale was watching the ads so don’t expect ChessRoyale to satisfy your chess needs, you’ll just be wasting your time.

ChessRoyale was referred to me by a friend after playing on other apps with me. I was apprehensive about trying another app. I was initially frustrated but after navigating through it I began to really like it until recently. I’ve lost several games because the game would freeze while it was my turn to make a move forcing me to close ChessRoyale . When I would return to play I have losses in the archive from games I wasn’t able to complete. Also while waiting for my opponent to load the game crashes and when I log back in the amount of coins it took to play that opponent is deducted from my bank. Lately I can’t even watch the short videos to earn coins or other items available, the game just continues to load and then finally crashes. I really liked ChessRoyale but considering going back to the other apps that I am displeased with. I may have to wait days for opponents to make a move but at least I’m not being frustrated from ChessRoyale crashing, loosing coins to no fault of my own, loosing games that I haven’t had a chance to play and the constant loading to no avail.

ChessRoyale is amazing for chess players. Has lots of potential but the fun is being ruined by the amount of ads. It’s an ad as soon as you log in and an ad before the game starts and an ad after the game ends…And these ads are up to 30 seconds. Unreal.

I’m deleting and coming to back ChessRoyale sometime in the future hopefully they’ll be less ads and less pop ups. I just want to play chess I don’t care for silly coins and magic wheels. I don’t want the login to take me into puzzles either followed by an ad after I exit. I would give ChessRoyale 1 star but the only thing that sort of holds up on ChessRoyale are the servers. I would give that alone a 4.5/10 star rating. Not the best servers you will see but not horrible.

Fix the ads, fix the pop ups, fix the ads when you accidentally click a pop up and I will surely give this 5 stars.

Although some of the games are good, I’m constantly being matched with players on a lower level than myself and also players who either wait until the last second to make a move in a blitz game which drags the game on forever for no other reason than a miss match game. I’ve lost majority of my games by falling asleep waiting for opponents to make the most obvious of moves or when I go to check my opponents “stats”, my time runs out because the game won’t load in time. Loading time, and the unwanted pesty ads make this game not fun to play on ChessRoyale. I enjoy the rare games when I’m faced with a challenging opponent, and even if I lose I’m enjoying playing chess with someone on my level or better than me. Change the glitches with the game, less ads, or none at all, faster gameplay and consistent gameplay, both players record’s and stats viewable whenever needed. A way to pause in the middle of the game is a great addition.

It is a nice game. However, advertisements are too often and too long; they also got often frozen that forced me to turn off the game to be able to continue. I have solved 233 puzzles so far; it was more like watching (exact same) advertisements only with short puzzle breaks, rather than puzzles with short ads breaks.. It also has no help button to explain how points, coins or records are recorded. Some players have decent record points, despite having played less games with less wins and less puzzles or storm solved than me. Yet I still have zero points on records after 233 puzzles, some wins (one win was not even noted) and 12 storm record. How this is possible? It is another glitch? It does not make sense...

The chess play itself is good on ChessRoyale. I even purchased the lifetime membership to be free from ads. However, the lack of ability to disable the ‘chat’ feature during matches is a major oversight. Chess is a game of class, but there are players on ChessRoyale who will spam the chat feature when they start losing. Seeing elementary sentences in large, bold font continuously spawning on screen is extremely distracting. If people find enjoyment in using pre-selected sentences, great! But for the rest of us who play chess to actually participate, please enable a toggle button so that we may disable this ‘chat’ feature.

After waiting for a online chess match, you will get assigned to random player, it looks for real at first but after playing only vs online “human” players with about 20 matches during the day, I noticed the same opening, same exact stupid mistakes like “horse takes pawn and pawn takes horse.” And after each mistake the computer generates an emoji responding to you to simulate an actual person sending an emoji during certain moves on the chess board.

I’m sorry developers for saying this, you have a great concept to this development and get some pocket money here and there which is all good, but for those who are seeking to play against honest opponents in an online room, ChessRoyale is not for you. You will get assigned to a bot if there is no available player to play against and 9/10 times you are usually playing a bot.

Update: the developer responded to contact support if there’s any issues. I’ve done that before and never heard back, and there’s no way to send a screenshot that way either.

I’ve been enjoying ChessRoyale, especially the puzzles, which are like little chess tutorials and help prepare you for a game. Unfortunately, there are a lot of mistakes. I’ll choose a move to put the opponent in check mate, ChessRoyale will tell me it’s wrong (the square turns red, and then the piece jumps back to it’s original position), so I’ll scratch my head a while and finally choose to get a hint. Fairly often, the hint suggests the move ChessRoyale said was wrong—and I’ve started to take screenshots to confirm it. If you choose to get the hint , you have to sit through advertising—this would be ok except the glitches seem to be a way to push excessive advertising. I’m not giving it up, as the puzzles are great, but it is glitchy

Update- I’ve reduced it by a star because of the lack of FairPlay support in this game. I’ve played against people who have played almost perfect games or have near perfect records, I even check the games I’ve played with accused cheater and find out they made 4 brilliant moves in one game… how is ChessRoyale not catching this?

I’m loving ChessRoyale but there’s ones thing that I absolutely hate. And that’s the ads that play abruptly while you’re playing the game. I tend to play chess in a quiet environment where I’m in my head thinking about my next move, the sound of an ad erupting out of the blue is not only distracting, it’s extremely annoying. You can make a purchase to remove the ads but it’s not every ad I have a problem with it’s just that one specifically. It’s like an annoying tactic to push people to buy the remove ad feature. A little solve if you’re facing this problem: turn the volume all the way down.

Game is actually good. I love the emojis and battle pass. However; the amount of ads in this game is insane, but the ads are not the problem, the problem is that there are so many ads that it freezes ChessRoyale . Not to mention that theses ads close button are very very tiny. (King’s games Ads) It’s a pain to close them. I have to close and reopen ChessRoyale 5 times in 20 mins because it will freeze trying to close the ads. Yes I know this is how they make money but Jesus, the amount of fake traffic views for ChessRoyale Store on theses ads are real. It’s very dishonest and Annoying. Also, there are 2-3 ads that while you playing, it will launch your Internet Browser without you clicking on it taking you off the game and causing issues.

I have had $31 STOLEN from me using ChessRoyale by making a couple purchases on ChessRoyale but receiving nothing for the purchases. I have sent 3 complaints so far to ChessRoyale asking them to either refund the purchases or update my account to include my purchases, but I have not heard anything from them nor have had my account updated. ChessRoyale used to be great and I have been using it to play for the last couple months, but all of a sudden their app has started to go down the toilet. Please be warned and if you want to download an play using ChessRoyale, okay but DO NOT make any purchases. I will be reporting ChessRoyale to every App Store as well to ensure that they are either shut down or restricted from allowing people to make purchases

I love the game, its fun, easygoing, entertaining, and engaging. This is because as a new Chess player, it helps me learn just by playing more and also I love the option to analyze my gameplay after winning or losing a match. The reason I like this feature so much is because it shows me my mistakes and it suggests different strategies to work on. Overall I have been hearing only good news from friends before downloading ChessRoyale, and I can now see why they enjoy playing this so much, its better than most Chess games that exist. After experiencing this great enjoyment within this virtual game, I have come to the conclusion of naming this Chess games one of the Bess Chess games of them all.

While playing something that has annoyed me a lot is instead of a clock with like 10 minutes or 5. I experienced a tiny clock with only a minute and most times I would forget about the clock and lose on time or, get pressured into making moves that could result in me losing. It’s very frustrating when I am playing a winning position and all of the sudden on my screen I see the other player won due to time. If you could please add an option like a setting to allow overall time and play against others who have the same setting selected. Please take this idea into consideration. Thank you!

Best chess game I’ve played Always a different outcome and openings with real people playing. I like everything except for one minor thing. Sometimes you will get in a match and if the opponent don’t want to play you they just let the time run out before they move and you have to start a different game with a different opponent. They shouldn’t be able to do that And also I noticed that if I am first to move and I do so, the opponent would lose if the timer ran out and that has changed. Now if they do this then they don’t lose They should lose period Other than that the whole app is very good

I am writing to make you aware that the last four losses over the last week or so was due to poor internet connection I have been in attack mode and had the advantage in those games I can’t change the time expiration victories they’ve achieved but it needs to be noted When my screen is blocked by a sign that says poor internet connection and I’m not able to make my next move and while I’m waiting for the connection to return I loose due to the game timing out This needs to be fixed

My only dislike is that I cannot play the players that I see in my weekly tournaments. Like they pop out with 2000 trophy’s but I never get to play none of them and then their win loss percentage be trash. If they not on here battling the active players they should not be on the leader boards. How do you have 2000 on day 2 of the week? Besides that I love beating on the players worldwide. Showed me how good my game is. These so called top tier players be trash anyway. Where yall at?

Best chess app out there that I’ve come across you can practice, play alone , play with others around the world and always no matter when holiday middle of the night or day always in seconds you have an opponent to play with or also u can play with ur friend around the world or someone r if ht next to you that you personally know and as a bonus you can learn moves to checkmate quicker. An DM the best you can analyse each game and practice where you need it and best part I’ve yet to mention it’s also free just a few ads here and there try it you will also agree
