Annoying

They call at exactly 8am & if we do not answer they’ll keep blowing our phones until we answer. It can be over ten calls in a matter of minutes. They’ll also text us repeatedly over 6 showings in one day after I even told them my daughter was sick with the flu & we didn’t want anyone coming in & out of the house until 5 days later. We still kept getting calls even after calling them & telling them to put us on the - “Do not call list”. To show the house 3 times after I told them no & then again the following days. Our agent even told us to just ignore them.
My husband works the night shift oil/gas & they’ll still blow his phone up after he tells them he’s asleep. I had to block their number because I would be working and it would also constantly go off. I almost got fired from the phone going off multiple times a day. Now they just text & text.
There’s times they schedule at a certain time & they don’t show up until an hour later.
NOT seller friendly

by Gatoboy
This happened to be Home that my realtor selected to manage showings. Unfortunately there are so many unprofessional realtors that are NO SHOWS, LATE, VERY EARLY and sometimes show up on the wrong day and time. There is no functionality to see who are the realtor who is requesting for showings. There is NO functionality to block realtors from requesting a showing after No Shows. The developers could care less after feedback given to them. The Response was “take it up to your listing realtor”.
The “propose for a new time” functions un-intuitively. It just cancels the request. It’s a dumb function.
There is NO way for the seller to block the days and times when the unit is unavailable for showings. Realtors will request at late hours of the night for an early next day showing. The seller has no control of what parameters, but it’s a free for all the realtors.
Again, Home was built for realtors NOT sellers. Without sellers, there will be no realtors and there will be NO showing time app.
Useless to the Home Owner
2022-07-25
by Meakelley
Comments aren’t required for cancellation or rescheduling. People shouldn’t be permitted to cancel within three hours of the scheduled showing unless there are extenuating circumstances, and this app Owners should be able to leave feedback on the people viewing. I’ve had people refuse to adhere to CDC guidelines and insist on wearing dirty shoes and no mask or gloves in my this app, cancel 15 minutes before a showing, and block only fifteen minutes and stay for over two hours! Perhaps if modeled like Uber or VRBO where there is mutual feedback by both sides, folks would be more respectful of the hoops we have to go through when getting a this app ready to sell. Example: I wouldn’t reschedule for someone if they cancelled on me twice already, etc.
Why can’t the seller enter availability?
2022-08-26
by Jsbradshaw
Home fails at its most basic function. As the seller, we had no way of entering our availability. Given that we’re currently working from this app, fitting in showings between meetings takes constant planning. Using Home only added extra work because every time a showing was requested we still had to actively engage the broker.
Hilariously, you can call them to enter available times in the calendar. Really? Call?
Basically the only thing Home needs to do is let the seller have control over scheduling blocks and it doesn’t do that, which means it just adds friction to the process.
Why does Home forget your login every time you try to use it? Still shows the notifications update on Home icon even if you have marked all updates as “read”. These type of issues have to get fixed if you’re serious about your app.
Functionally, Home can deliver the information that a homeowner needs to know, however you have to fight it all the way. It constantly times out, forcing you to login most times you use it. The responsiveness of the UI is poor, it’s laggy and uses non standard gestures. It has font sizing that is harder to read than it should be, all things that are entirely avoidable.
Disastrous app

by Max Frustration
I seldom if ever review apps but am compelled to comment on how terrible Home performs. It took multiple attempts to download & open. After waiting for several spinning wheels to stop spinning & finally got it to open & logged in, it gave me nothing but a blank white screen. It seems to impair my ability to use other apps already on my system. I could log in online with no problem but Home is much more trouble than its worth and wasted a considerable amount of my time. I would rate it as a zero if it was an option. Save yourself and use the online version only. And Mr. Developer, no need to reply with any self serving response; just fix this monstrosity ASAP.
Pointless

by Eem72
This took over two hours to update and show notifications I could interact with. Meanwhile, I had texts coming in asking me to confirm or decline to the tune of over 40 showing requests. Then, the part that says “tours” shows nothing. I synced my calendar so that’s helpful, but it would be nice if “tours” had a timeline of showings. It’s just blank. What’s the point of Home again? My realtor can schedule showings during agreed-upon hours with me. Idc what times as long as I know when to be gone. Also, I requested technical support and got no response. It’s eight hours later and still no response.
Really needs improvement

I can see how Home would be easy for people who are not residing in the house for sale. For anyone who lives at the house for sale, there are massive pitfalls. There is no way to message the potential agent to ask anything. But most annoying is there is no way to schedule out the this app owner’s availability.
A simple calendar showing the confirmed showings on the this app owners end and a calendar of when the house is available that the this app owner could fill out weekly would be massively better. While our realtor can say that the house is available specific days, other agents still contact outside those times via Home then are irritated that they’ve been “declined”. Create an availability calendar. Home is supposed to help eliminate issues with having the listing agent as the go between, but in truth, it creates problems for those living in their homes.
Schedule out of control

I’m giving this 2 stars because I’m sure there are other elements at play (showing agents not marking when they are done showing the this app, scheduling wrong days, etc), but Home is very difficult to navigate. Updates take a long time to sync - most infuriating is that last minute showings added by my agent will not register the same way others do: if I approve a showing time, it syncs to phone phone calendar, and notifies me by all methods selected. Showings not approved by me sneak in unannounced. I am trying to navigate selling a this app with 2 toddlers and two dogs, so delays in notifications and multiple, similar looking pages (notifications and activities) with different data is unhelpful. It’s hard to click between menus and not intuitive. I can’t trust my iPhone calendar and have to constantly check the ‘activities’ tabs for latest data, if I can even trust that. At this point, despite Home working 75% of the time, that last 25% is a real killer and can make or break a showing if we’re caught off guard.
My biggest gripe is that it doesn’t have a good way to display showings for sellers. A simple calendar with your showings on it would be a game change for Home. It looks like this might exist for buyers in Home but I’m not certain. The idea that is the case just makes the absence of a calendar for sellers the more frustrating.
When you get a lot of showings in a day it’s very hard to visualize what that looks like.
There is a tie in to external calendaring but I’m not sure to what calendar. The links to add to calendar in the confirmation emails have never worked for my using Outlook online on my pc or the Outlook iOS app. And outlook is one of the most ubiquitous email apps around. So I have to manually interface Home with my calendar.
Another gripe is that the propose new time feature doesn’t really do that. It’s a decline with a note. I have stopped using it because even proposing 15 minutes earlier or later often leads to the buying agent skipping it altogether and not re-booking.
All in all, I find it barley more useful as a seller than text or email... all it really does is act as a basic proxy between me and buying agents wanting to look at my this app with me having only ‘Yes’, ‘No’ or ‘No, but’ as reply options.
More customizability for the seller
2023-04-02
by Sgvaughan
Home is helpful for scheduling showings of my this app. However, especially post Covid, with more and more people working from this app, there needs to be a way for the seller to block out times when the this app is not available for showings. I work from this app and I take appointments with my clients in my this app. Having to contact my agent every time I have an appointment with a client to let her know to block that time for showings is super annoying. There needs to be a way for me to block out periods of time in a calendar in Home when the this app is not available for showings. I have seen multiple requests for this feature in the reviews of Home, yet nothing has been done to make this happen. Hopefully my this app sells quickly so that I don’t have to continue to deal with this needless frustration.
Would be great if agents knew how to use it

We are selling our this app and our agent arranged for all showing appointments to go through Home. I actually love Home . When it works, it makes keeping up with showings so much easier. Instead of multiple calls, texts, and emails, it is all in one place.
The key is when it works. Apparently, agents do not know how to use it and have trouble with it. In a span of just three days, two agents have scheduled a different time and day than they told their buyers/thought they had appointments. We have had two families and two agents show up at our this app for showings when we are this app and not expecting any showings.
For example, we accepted an appointment for Friday at 7pm. That was all confirmed through Home . We had no appointments on Wednesday. But, as our family was this app eating dinner, the agent and their buyers let themselves into our this app. The agent insisted he had a confirmed appointment - he used Home wrong and had entered Friday instead of Wednesday.
If agents do not know how to use it, the value is lost and can cause a lot of problems. As much as I like Home over multiple phone calls, emails, and texts, in the case of our two incidents, the old fashioned way wouldn’t have caused any misunderstandings.
Buggy, Very Frustrating

by Bbcarp
Very buggy app.
This thing will log you out constantly. Multiple times per day. Just about every time I need to check something on Home (new feedback, new showing scheduled, etc) I have to log back in.
Probably even more frustrating is that nothing is chronological within Home . Received a new notification for a scheduled showing? It’s listed at the top of your schedule, even if it’s not next chronologically. I’ve raced to get things together, just to find out that a scheduled showing is not even on the same day.
Received new feedback? If it was from a showing a week ago, it’ll be buried in a long list of feedback, not at the top where you would expect.
App needs a lot of work. I see that the devs tend to respond to negative reviews, but my complaints echo others. So it seems like they haven’t worked it out.
I’m sure it’s better than what’s been used in the past, it’s just not as good as it could be. I hope our this app sells soon so that I can delete Home and stop having to log in.
It’s good but could use improvement
2023-07-06
by Jerseygrl24
Home is helpful in scheduling showings, but it could use some improvement. I would love to use the calendar syncing, however, it syncs literally everything - including appts you cancelled/denied. Why would I want that on my calendar? I only want confirmed, scheduled appts on my calendar. So that essentially makes that feature useless. Also, I want to block out certain times of the day & apparently only my realtor is able to do it. To me it would make a lot more sense to have this feature available to the person who’s actually showing the house - the homeowner. There are some days we can be available throughout the day & others only in the afternoon/evening, and I don’t want to constantly bug my realtor to block out multiple days for this, or have to keep denying appts because people request times we’re not available for (we have 3 dogs so we need to be there to take care of removing them). Home could definitely be stellar in its use, but just needs to be a little more user friendly.
Ive sold several homes in the past and always had realtors do things the “old fashioned way”. I love Home because it makes scheduling and communication so much easier. My only suggestion would be to have a daily calendar view showing the times appointments are scheduled so owners can easily tell the timeline for the day. The current method is like sifting through an e-mail box that doesn’t put appointments in order by time each day. Having to go back through the notifications to figure out if a slot is available when a request needs to be confirmed is more work than it needs to be. The daily calendar view would make confirming appointments and planning your day much easier!
Great idea, almost great execution

Home worked great for the first several hours. During that time we had listed our this app and began receiving numerous requests for showings. I was delighted at how useful, convenient, and easy Home made the process of scheduling the showings. The following morning I checked Home and I had been logged out. Over the next several hours I had to log in three more times. I just looked and I have been logged out again, no more than 45 minutes after my last login. This is the only issue and why this review is four stars instead of five.

It has been 17 years since I sold a house. Technology has changed so much since then. I love how simple and easy to read Home is for the seller. It keeps everything in one place and alerts all parties to keep everyone in the loop. The ease of use for Home removes a few layers of stress during this entire process. If only other stressful areas in life could be this simple!!!
Game changer

When we sold our house years ago it was so much more time consuming to schedule viewings. With Home, I as the seller can immediately say yes or no to the request of the other agents request to view the this app. The agent is allowed to schedule any amount of time they think they need which makes it much easier for me to schedule my day!
I truly don’t know why every real estate agent doesn’t use Home!!!
This was great!!

Hadn’t sold a house in years. I live in CA and am selling our rental in NY. Our realtor at C21 uses Home for the sellers and MLS agent showings. As a seller with a property manager, I can’t say enough about how easily and effectively everyone was kept in the loop. Easy to use even for a “non tech” person like myself. Lots of good features. A great way to do things and light years ahead of the former ways of scheduling and communicating, especially now, given all of the COVID restrictions. Thank you for this very helpful tool!
When moving and buying a this app, our property is partially packed and inaccessible, and the rest of our property is sometimes tough to get to. Like everyone else. Calendars and schedules for showing the house that we are selling is essential to get right and have no errors. Home does that. Quick and easy. It is all right here and it takes all the coordination and puts it into one place for an I stand decision on yes or no for a viewing time. I recommend Home!
Not happy

An hour and a half after saying yes to a request for a showing I got another call requesting the same showing and when I tried to straighten it out all I could get was a recording saying there were no new requests. There seemed to be no way to talk to someone live. My listing agent is also frustrated. He says he is going to try to straighten things out on Monday. In the meantime I am not sure if there is a showing for my this app today or not. Very confusing.
Horrible App & Tech Support Experience
2024-11-16
by USHomes
I downloaded Home , and set up my account but never received an email confirmation so called the help desk. I was on the phone with the help desk for 2+ hours and they finally emailed a link that worked and I was able to get into my account. Fast forward 2 weeks, I go to login and it says account not recognized, but it had been working all along, so I called yhe help desk several times and used the help link in Home . I went through all the steps instructed by the tech support, another 2+ hours of my time wasted with no success. I have since opted to Not use Home , wayyy more hassle than its worth.
Needs improvement

by Jym456
Great app theoretically but in practice there are quite a few improvements that would be beneficial from the seller’s point of view. My house is listed on Home so this review is from a selling perspective. Multiple people have requested a showing and have not shown up, or have shown up hours later. I’m not aware as to whether or not it’s possible from the realtor side, but there needs to be an option to either cancel the request or to send a message to the seller that they will be late or need to reschedule. It’s inconvenient for people who are still living at the house they are trying to sell.
What is my realtor doing???

I hate Home and the whole call center process. Had I known we had to use this before signing with our agent, I would have used a different agent. It has completely removed her from the process. I’m the one organizing, setting up and communicating. We receive very little feedback from any showings and I never hear from her. As I see it, she listed us on the MLS (which I could’ve had done) and little else. Worst selling experience we’ve had.
When Home actually works, it’s great and user friendly. The last couple weeks thought it is hit or miss whether not it will even open. It doesn’t crash, it just goes white screen and never moves on past that. I’ve deleted and reinstalled as well as closed it out and reopened.
Scrolling locks

by N.C.Jeff
Home is good at keeping me updated when my house has a showing but often the screen won’t allow me to scroll. I have to change pages and go back, and often that doesn’t even help. Plus, it would be good if it required showing agents to click when they were done with a showing.
Just ok

by Alh722
Works at a basic level and could use a lot of improvements. I’m constantly having to sign into my account and have missed app notifications for showings. There should be way to sync approved showings to calendar app instead of having to manually input them. Contact support menu item does nothing more than load and no information ever shows up.
App good; Realtors need to support it
2024-11-16
by Klaatu2017
As a seller, Home idea is very good. Problem though is realtors need to support it better. Out of 11 showings, only one realtor responded with a showing finished update. And the realtor reviews after the showing are sparse and generally delayed a few days. In fact, I believe my listing agent is providing the reviews after doing a phone call followup with the showing agent. Realtors should realize this is s good tool for the sellers and learn to make an app like this a part of their selling processes. All would benefit.
House showing

Great way to manage the house showing process. We were able to see at a quick glance our daily schedule. Thank you for a great app.
We have dealt with this app buying/selling in the past. Using Home for selling our current this app is fantastic. Communication is super fast in setting/decking appointments and the feedback ability is a great gauge on what potential buyers/agents are thinking after they visit the this app. I love Home.
Intuitive App

Very easy to use and intuitive. If you accept requests through email, you get more information than accepting through the text notification. We like that you can suggest alternative times if the requested time does not work for you.

A lot of lookers. Very few buyers. Built on the principle that if you throw enough junk on the wall, something will stick. Big box realtors love it. This seller not so much.
