Haters Are Lying!

I don’t have a explanation for it. But I do have a review! :D
HelloPiano still lets you learn a lot of piano even if you don’t buy the free trial! Which is amazing because I do piano lessons and I like to review some piano apps! And so far, this has been the best piano app I have used! I am training to learn the song Fur Elise and this piano app taught me the first part of Fur Elise which is amazing. But I still recommend piano lessons more then HelloPiano . But if you would rather pay less then go right ahead and get HelloPiano! This is the longest review I have ever made before because, it’s the best app for piano I have used before! :D go ahead and buy HelloPiano now! Hopefully you follow my advice. But if you get stuck in the Free Trial thing there is a little arrow that looks like this > it’s white so it blends in with the stars . So if you can’t get past that that’s how to get past it. If anyone was confused about notes the more you learn the more you remember! The notes might look confusing at first but after you see what notes they are you will start to remember all of the times you practice! Practice doesn’t make perfect but it does make good! Give it a try and if it isn’t good for you just do piano lessons it’s always an option as long as the teacher teaches the season!

Great, but one thing

I got HelloPiano a while back, and its the best free piano lesson app ive seen on the market. But i noticed that it has the SAME formatting as an app called Elevate. Elevate is supposed to sharpen basic skills, and lets you do 3 lessons free per day, and locks the other two (unless you subscribed). it ALSO has the same style of organizing their games, lessons, and stats. If you download HelloPiano and compare them, you could say that the only difference is what they teach. as soon as i saw how they put your points in a cut up bar, i recognized it right away. Coincidence? maybe, but it IS sketchy...

edit: Elevate was created in May, 2014 and while i cant find a publishing date for HelloPiano, i do know that the first update was 10 months ago. so yeah

Weirdly this worked

I’d be learning sheet music by using a piano app called flowkey and I spent an hour everyday doing that for a whole year. I learned to play piano from that app but the sheet music skills never got ingrained for whatever reason, just something about that app wasn’t teaching it in a way that stuck with me. But swear to god I played HelloPiano for a couple of days and I had somehow learned the entire bass clef from doing that. I don’t even know why it works so well, but for me, it was almost like magic. I never review apps, but this one deserved it. I even bought their outrageously expensive year long membership. Like, they earned the money in my opinion. It just worked. Fast, too. Weirdly fast, like I said. 🤔🤓

Cool game

It’s a cool game to learn piano but I hate the fact that it’s a little misleading when it’s free to download HelloPiano and then they tell you that you have to sign up for the free trial just to even try it out. Kind of a waist of time to now just have to delete HelloPiano . I have a lot of things to remember so canceling a subscription isn’t at the top of my priority list. I think they should offer you a free version with limited features to try out the game without having to actually sign up for the trial. Other than that it’s purpose is cool and I’ve tried other apps that give you a limited amount of features for free.

Great learning game

This game is great for people who want to learn the piano. I think that if somebody wants to do another day they shouldn’t have to pay money. Also, today when my daughter got on she couldn’t do the lesson because it showed something like a deal. Overall, I think it’s a great game for adults, teens, and kids. I just hope that you don’t really have to pay so much money for everything.

I really love this app but the pricing.....$$$$$

I have played just a few games and I already love it and know the names of most noted, BUT the pricing is horrible!!!!! If you could maybe do 7.99 a MONTH that would be a decent price but really, and yes I know that normal lessons can cost ALOT and are a hassle to get out the door to go to them, but I feel like they are also so much more direct and easy and it’s just a lot of money to pay for this, maybe lower the price, or even better! Make it monthly! (Please don’t make it like 30$ monthly though😩) I know you have to make money but I feel kinda stupid paying 8$ a week even if I don’t use it every day😒. Please lower the $$$ I will get premium ASAP if I see the price has changed a bit!

Thanx!

Nope.

Can’t even get to a single menu screen to see what HelloPiano offers without signing up for a subscription billed automatically after 7 days. So what if there’s a “free” trial? You’re still forcing people to subscribe, even if they can cancel it later. Want me to try out your game? Make it free for 7 days, then make it a subscription-only service I have to pay to continue. If your app is good, I won’t mind putting up $8/month to keep it. If it’s bad, I shouldn’t have to remember to cancel it so I’m not charged for my FREE trial.
Don’t advertise it as having In-App Purchases but omit the fact that you can’t even try it without signing up for a subscription. The fact that you can cancel it doesn’t change the fact that you force people to say “yes” to a subscription, straight outta the gate.

Okay, but not the best.

I like HelloPiano, because I don’t have a piano yet, and HelloPiano provides me with practice, getting to play my favorite songs, and other good things. But after you download HelloPiano, it tells you all the wonderful things you can do, and how you can explore the piano. But after that, you HAVE to make a subscription to HelloPiano to use HelloPiano . Now I’ll have to make a subscription, and cancel it before 7 days, because I don’t want to pay money for an app I will not use ALL the time. This will be an app I will use in my spare time, which I rarely get. Again, I love HelloPiano! But I’m giving it three stars for my opinion on HelloPiano. Thanks for reading!

I was really excited to try it

It looks really fun, and I was really looking forward to trying it out, but I cant get in without subscribing to the free trial. I don't have a credit or debit card, and I wont be able to get one of either for a few years. It would really help if you could make it so people could get in without the free trial. It would let people around my age use HelloPiano , and if they do like it they can buy the subscription and/or get the trial once they actually have a card. With the forced trial you’re missing out on possible future subscribers. Thank you for reading this if you ever do, and I hope you fix this for other people in the future. I hope you have an amazing day!

AWSOME! But…….

As much as I love HelloPiano, it can get boring doing the same thing over and over. Also, what if I don’t have a midi cord or usb cord, but what if I don’t have a midi or usb plug in for my piano?! HelloPiano teaches you a lot a just 2 days if your into it, but you can’t learn it all without premium! I got the game yesterday and loved it! I just feel I can get a bit boring. I still play this and use it just a lot of the same over and over again. It definitely helps you learn, but it would be better if you didn’t need premium. -Lexreak Gamer

Don’t think it has some free features

If you see “Free with in app purchase” for an app that means there are some free features you can see and explore, if you like it, you subscribe to that app.

But when you download HelloPiano, all you see is “subscribe or free trial for a week”. You try to find a “skip” button but there is none. So you have only one week to decide! Basically you download an advertisement from HelloPiano store (a 125mb one).

This is the worst marketing strategy for an app. If you can’t find time to use HelloPiano in one week you either cancel or buy the subscription.

I want to ask a question to developer, for a “skill improvement” app, is a week anough to evaluate it? How do i know if it works or not? Do you expect all the users use it regularly for a week?

If you want to sell 500% more of HelloPiano make it free with pro features. On the brightside HelloPiano sets a record for me, it became HelloPiano that was erased in a shortest time after i downloaded from HelloPiano store. It lived on my home screen for a mere 10 seconds.

This is good but one problem….

I like this game and would love to try it but when I was logging it to HelloPiano it straight away asked me for money. I got this game to try because it looked so cool in the adds and photos. I don’t really like how they ask for money straight away and you can’t play it without paying. I personally suggest not to they HelloPiano or to update it please with out the trail because I don’t like how I have to always pay for a week and I don’t play HelloPiano as often so please can there be less of the trial options and still play without paying. Thank you.

Great amazing app

I’m 100% music newbie. Never had a lesson. HelloPiano has given me the confidence to keep on learning the piano, I even got some adult beginner piano books online too. HelloPiano has given my self esteem a boost and has made me realize I can literally do anything If I try and put the practice in! I love the variety of songs too! I enjoy the classical a lot, but they do have a lot of pop! I’m very grateful to the creators of HelloPiano! Thank you simply piano.

Nice App!

When I downloaded HelloPiano I expected it to be another rubbish piano app that didn’t teach anything but after opening HelloPiano I would soon find out that HelloPiano not only teaches beginners in playing the piano but it also encourages beginners to keep trying and move at their own paces. I would 99.9% recommend HelloPiano for people who are trying to learn piano but don’t have the budget to take piano lessons.

It's not a good game

It asks you to get a free trial and it wont let you continue unless you agree to get the free trial. I will probably forget about the free trial because I'm busy with school and I just like to relax and play games on my phone and I wanted to try this game because it looked cool in the adds and I just wanted to try it and i can't because I have to agree to get the free trial. Just make it so that you have a choice whether or not you want to get the free trial and I might just redownload HelloPiano . I really thought I would get a choice whether or not I wanted to get the free trial but it's making you get it.

It’s fine but......

HelloPiano is amazing but where you start they are beginning you to buy something and I bought something and it didn’t work a few days later I was playing Watch and listen and I did the right thing it told me to do and it got counted wrong so yeah I’m not saying that to not buy it but that is what I went through

By

Great but the payment

I really like the game and have gotten it and deleted it so many times to delete the week trial. I think that you should have an x button so you can still learn how to play without having to pay, but you would have as much freedom and opportunities as you would if you paid for the whole thing. I just think young people like me should be able to play the game without having their parents pay for it. Overall a great game

By

A great tool but an expensive one

This is a great tool to get children more involved in music but it is quite expensive at $32 per month. Yes lessons are more expensive than that but it might be worth it for the developers to allow the free option to progress more than it does because there are people who truly can not afford that much per month and would be more than happy to watch a few ads to help make up the cost.

Awesome but...

I love HelloPiano I have had it for a few days and It was great but once you get a couple lessons in you have to pay to move on.I understand you need to make a profit off HelloPiano but I really feel that you should be able to do the entire app but for a limited amount of time this is the only problem for me

By

Great but.....

I love HelloPiano and as you go it gets better because you know more. I understand that you have to pay for the other to things or you can do the week free but do not feel it is worth the cost. I did the free trial and then the week ended and it was normal but in doing it really was not worth it. Over all HelloPiano teaches a lot, if you never play piano studied and notes then this is great for you too. One day you can wake up not even knowing the notes or anything, but then you go on HelloPiano and you can learn it and you keep playing the games you actually can get really really good at the piano. So take it from me HelloPiano is great and will help learn if you go on it consistently.

You have to pay for the game

I waited for the premium page to go away for about 3 minutes and it didn’t go away! This is absolutely ridiculous that I have to pay for the game and I waited so I could click out of it and play but no! 1 star rating. Fix app please. I don’t wanna spend my money on just learning the piano. Fix the prices or let me exit out of the premium page. Thank you if you do because this is what apps do that make me go crazy. I’m not wasting my money on an app. This is crazy so please fix something about this problem with HelloPiano . I would really like if you did. Thank you. Madilyn Daszkiewicz

It was ok but ...

You guys I wanna learn how to play piano and it’s impossible if I have to pay for everything I mean I should be able to at least learn notes and what’s the point of downloading it if everything cost money like I know that how u get money but how are people supposed to learn this. 1 star for effort 1 for the very short and horrible lessons. And not the lessons that u have to pay for but the ones u start with. I deleted HelloPiano once I figured out that I can’t learn because I have to pay to learn notes so I’ll look for other apps thanks tho.
