I am a digital only subscriber. GolfMagazine no longer works on my iPad. Technical support which can only be reached by email initially responded with a couple questions about device and version... and then nothing. I sent a follow up email to ask when I could expect it to be fixed or get more support. Nothing again. Do not buy a digital subscription!!!

This apps even when it worked is terrible. I can look on my iPad and see that my subscription ends 6 months from now yet I cannot access any issues from the past several months saying I didn’t pay for those yet clearly I did. I’m going to dispute this charge with my credit card company and not give a single dime to these criminals.

Every time I open GolfMagazine I get a message that says verifying subscription & purchases. After several minutes it loads the issues. When I tap on the download icon for an issue all I get is a revolving circle that runs continuously until I power off my iPad. GolfMagazine should be repaired ASAP. If not then Apple should remove it from GolfMagazine Store. Right now I give GolfMagazine a zero rating - totally useless

Lags 2 weeks behind print edition to get newest issue. Thought it would be better especially when you are pre-paying over $30 annually

Pales in comparison to Golf Digest app. Seems to fight my iPad in terms of page orientation. I’ll try it every couple of months or so and end up getting frustrated. How the heck can these smart developers put out such a underwhelming product?

My subscription goes through July 2019. In October, 2018 I received the icon for the November issue but am unable to access it. I am asked to purchase it. When I contacted customer service via email,(I cannot find a phone contact number) they replied that they were having technical issues that would be resolved at a future date and to keep checking. That date came and there was no change to my status. My next email reply was the same with a new future date. Again no change when we reached that date. I received the icon for the December issue and the whole scenario has repeated itself! Again I was told via email that the situation would be resolved by November 19. It is now Dec. 13, nothing has changed and my last two email inquires have gone unanswered. My sign in info is not recognized, I still cannot access the newest issues, (I can access October and older issues) and customer service does not respond.

Just when I think GolfMagazine can’t get any worse, Golf magazine exceeds my expectations... Who do they have working on their app development team? This is the biggest piece of crap to date. I was annoyed that the previous version gave us a cheap rendition of a scrolling PDF. I loved GolfMagazine three versions ago when it was interactive... remember the good ole days when we could time lapse the swing sequences or even scratch off the answers to the rules quizzes??? Now, not only do I have a cheap pdf to scroll through, I can’t download past issues, and the newest issue doesn’t recognize my overpriced subscription I’m paying for... Please, for the love of Bobby Jones and all that is holy, get your act together or I’m taking an unplayable and leaving you for good! It’s hard for me to say, but the miserable app known as Golf Digest is better... and that’s a low bar to cross.

I cannot sign in to my October issue. When I called Golf Magazine they had no way to help me since forgot password was not on t the sign in screen. They gave me an iTunes phone number and they said Golf Magazine should help me since they are not involved with passwords. I have no idea why my sign in failed and no one can help me. Golf Magazines and ITunes have a real communication problem. What a mess.
Second time I have written. Nobody cares and no help! My only solution seems to be cancel Golf Magazine and continue with Golf Digest. I have never seen a worst app and people who can’t or won’t help. Disgusting.
Third review. Still worst app I have ever seen and worst customer service. I don’t thank they even try to be of help or they simply don’t care about their customers.

I’m like everyone else here. Thought it was just me. Had no choice but to upgrade from old app. Lost all my back issues. Will not accept log in credentials. This is the worst app ever. Wrote customer service and have heard nothing. I have a renewed 2 year subscription and have been a subscriber for years. Feel like canceling.
Update: So it appears that the digital subscription is now separate from the print addition. If you purchase GolfMagazine price everything works fine. I tried the $1.99 price and the past 8 months became available but I had a new subscription in my Apple subscriptions. What a rip off.

I’ve had trouble with Golf’s app for the past year. The past year GolfMagazine has been terrible. I saw they updated and it’s going to be better🤣. Now it just doesn’t work. I like to have the magazine on my iPad when traveling so I’m not carrying around magazines in print form. I was hopeful but ended wasting time. I even called Golf Magazine in hopes I was doing something wrong. Now I won’t be reading Golf on this trip and I’m totally frustrated as they keep making excuses for the poor digital service.

Why fix something that’s not broken. The old app worked perfectly. The new one is worst then horrible. It just doesn’t work. Like everyone else, can’t get my November issue. It asks me to subscribe. I already have a yearly subscription. Called customer service 4 times & have been given the run around. First they gave me a new password to sign in & that didn’t work. Then they said it will differently fixed by October 15. Guess not. They should fire their IT department. Back to Golf Digest.

I upgraded and GolfMagazine would not allow me to open the October 2018 when it became available and all my previous issues before September 2018 are not available. GolfMagazine wants me to pay for them again!
I deleted GolfMagazine and reinstalled. October 2018 downloaded but the issues before September 2018 are still unavailable. When I tap on the circle arrow to restore those issues GolfMagazine says i have not already paid for them.

Mar 2021 Update: past issues still not restored. Since iOS 14.4 app randomly closes. App repeatedly makes you sign in when attempting to use.
Past issues is a deal breaker. Customer service emails back stating not their fault, it’s Golf Magazine’s fault because they only allowed GolfMagazine company access to a few issues. Doesn’t matter who’s fault it is, it’s broken...period.
Will not renew. Why should a customer stick with a product that takes away what they already paid for?

Called customer service to confirm my subscription is paid though Dec. 2020. Asked why I couldn’t access ANY of the issues previous or current. No answers, felt more like they were trying to get me off the phone rather than help. Only answer was “wait for the new update on Nov. 19th.” Used to work great but new version is the worst. Would love to give it zero stars but no such option.

Each upgrade makes experience worse. A few iterations ago, the digital magazine worked with zero issues. It was simply a PDF within GolfMagazine . Not sure why you can’t simply do that.
The more interactive you make the digital magazine, the more useless this is. I just want to read my magazine on my iPad. I don’t care about the other interactive features.

Although you can’t get the back issues, it now doesn’t ask you to subscribe if you already are a subscriber. Also it opens to where you stopped reading. I was able to sign on despite a notice rejecting my credentials when I noticed it was unlocked.

GolfMagazine is fixed now and I’m able to download all the issues that I’ve received in the mail to my phone.

Everything now works as it is supposed to. When iOS 12.1.4 was released there was a bit of an issue with downloads but support fixed the problem.
